Actually I was in Prague last weekend, and went past the Banco Casino in the afternoon. At least from the outside I could see no sign of stripping or cabaret being available.

There also appers to be a cabaret / strip club on Rybna 9, "Nasty's", opposite Hotel Astoria. I only went past at daytime, so I don't know if it's still open. I haven't found any useful info about it on the web.

Another strip club I'm uncertain about is Magic Cabaret, on Havelská 8. I didn't see any "life" near the "Magic" sign when I went past a Sunday night some months ago, but Mystery Cabaret on the other side of the street was open.

On a previous visit to Prague I went looking for Desire Cabaret at V Jámě 8, but apart from the sign still being present on the building, I didn't find it, and the website link I found somewhere is dead. Has it been taken over by the gay club at the same address, or did I miss the entrance?

The building where Kabaret Prague and Ginger Cabaret used to be appers to be under renovation or demolition. Are there any plans to reopen those clubs?

Yes, as you said the Banco cabaret seems to be closed.

I don´t know Nasty´s, I only remember a strip club located in the Hotel Central. The hotel is still in operation but the strip club closed in the late nineties.

There is still a cabaret advertising on Havelska but I´m not sure if it´s Mystery or Magic ?!? There is also a cabaret on Rytirska street oposite to Hotel U Klenotnika but I can´t remember the name right now.

Desire Cabaret closed it´s doors last year, too much competition in the center accordings to one former Desire stripper wich is now working in one of the Ve Smeckach street cabarets. If I remember well, the Desire cabaret was launched by one of the bouncer of former Apollon night club that closed in august 2002 but I don´t know what he is doing right now.

Kabaret Prague and Ginger cabaret (as well as all other businesses located at the same address) had to close two years ago because the building owner started a full reconstruction. The work is currently still going. I don´t know what are the plans for the building (a new hotel? a new office building?). I don´t know for Ginger but Kabaret Prague was (co-)owned by a british guy, I don´t know if he is still involved in the so called "night life" ?!?

I was there around Easter. Small club with only a few dancers, at least the day I was there, and the shows on stage weren't exactly up to Golfingers' level. The same could be said about Mystery and Jag's Bar. But there were at least one or two beaties at each place, who gave me nice lapdances.

I got the impression that most cabarets in the old town are strip/lap-dance only, i.e. non-sex. The same goes for the remaining clubs with entrance from Václavské náměstí (Goldfingers, Carioca, Hot Peppers).

If you are really from Manchester I do not understand why you need to goto Prague or anywhere else to "pop your cherry". I regularly visit Manchester and surrounding area to visit some of the many establishments in that area. (My bank manager would say too regularly! ) The service I get is normally better than I have had abroad, the pricing is very reasonable as well. Just not quite as exotic as travelling somewhere like Praha and combining it with some sight seeing!
