She was my tour guide and translator, folded my clothes when I needed to pack, escorted me in the taxi to the airport. It was high quality service for a girl that I just picked up off the street. For a couple of days of companionship, I gave her about $100. I paid her $50 up front, and we didn't discuss cash again until I was about to go through security at the airport.

No companionship is free. However, in my opinion it's much easier to find that level of service in Thailand. DR women are more needy for money, and more money focused. It would be cheaper for you to just fuck them and forget them. They are much more manipulative than Thais even though it's a variation on the same game in both countries.
