I can add to the knowledge surrounding the classic system as there is a girl I always take with me traveling, so I have gathered some information.

The situation varies a lot on many different factors. Does the girl live in the work housing? Does she live on her own? I find the girls that live on their own generally have a backer that is funding them. Most of them appear to be chinese men living in China that visit a few times a year to their "mistress". Politics and manipulation are as expected, it also depends on the seniority of the girl as the longer they have been in the business and the more friendly with the mama, the more unrestrained they can be.

It seems any alternative to the 3 meat markets has even bigger issues and such reporting always attracts a "why didn't you just fucking go to Classic" beatdown from many of the Classic Regulars. During my last trip, I tried to get away from the depressing squalor of North Jakarta and moved to Menteng. First I stayed in jalan Wahid Hasyim, which is a very nice walkable street with many four-star hotels and nice restaurants. Later I moved to Menteng Park which is complex of three huge apartment buildings. The street in front was very nice too, walkable and full of young people.

It took me a while to realise but both streets had pimps. These guys would sit at night on the benches of the street and hold a cell phone with pictures of many girls in their hand. They wouldn't talk to me, but they would hold their phones in a way that I could see what they were looking at. At the beginning, I thought these guys were watching porn or using Tinder but when I talked to one of them, he explained me the business. It's 500 k for full service, I could select three girls from the pictures he showed me, he would send the three girls to my place and I could select one of them.

I didn't manage to take him up on his offer, but it sounds interesting and I might do it next time I'm staying in this area.

Has somebody any experience with this kind of business?
