I'm interested in traveling to Cali next year, and I stumbled across this website called personalmeetings, its run by walter mora. He's offering to set me up with some pretty nice babes, for 900 usd. Seems a bit steep but I'm wondering if anyone ever had any dealing with him.

Walter knows many of the prepagos in Cali. Walter takes dumb Gringos to prearranged locations where he sets up phony "casual encounters" with Cali women. The whole thing is bogus. Walter phones prepagos that he knows in advance. When Walter and the dumb Gringo arrive at the prearranged location, Walter notices and mentions a specific girl there. What the Gringo doesn't know is that there is nothing "random" or "coincidental" about the meeting. Walter has known the girl for months or even years.
There are a bunch of Cali street hustlers that use the same scam with unsuspecting Gringos, but Walter is the most famous (and most expensive) among them. Another that you probably will meet in Cali someday is named Ramon. There are others.
You do not need to spend $900 to meet prepagos in Cali or anywhere else in Colombia.
Read the forum. You have to be out of your mind to spend that kind of money! I have had no problems getting girls for TLN for the equivalent of $70.00. Read the forum!

I've been in Colombia for the past 10 months, and recently met Walter Mora in Cali. Walter is a one man operation that provides guide service, introductons, and translations for english speaking foreigners. He provides a variety of packages as far as his services, and or course you are free to negotiate any fees you like. Somone mentioned Walter charging something like $900 to meet a prepago, I believe that this fee is actually for something like a liketime membership. I've worked with Walter here and he has been honest and upfront with me about everything. He does know a lot of woman, both prepagos and non working girls. If you want a prepago, tell him, if you want family girl, tell him as well. I've been out with Walter in the field and have not exprienced any of the pre-arranged set up dates that were mentioned. From my experience Walter is an honest guy that tried hard to please his clients.
Two reports about this guy by two new posters in the last day? I smell meat: pink, canned. But for anyone who's got $900 they have no idea how to loose sounds like a bargain.
Anyone reading this bunch of crap and believing it is a fool. Wildbilman has this one post and none other! If you believe his post then maybe you deserve to be taken for your money.

Haha, this is too funny. $900 for a lifetime membership to meet prepagos. My goodness some people think gringos are completely stupid. This is hilarious, just too funny. Anybody completely stupid enough to actually fall for this deserves what he gets.
No one has asked me, but I am certain to have met this Walter Mora individual in Cali last year. He speaks very good English and claims to have lived in New York City which could be true based on his antics and good command of the English language. During that time, he was working on the project of making this happen and he even mentioned it to me a couple of times. If its not him, then it definitely has to be someone else trying to do the same thing. No doubt, there must be a handful of people trying to pass "pre-pagos" on to gringos as normal, non-pro/semi-pro Colombianas. Definitely not worth paying someone so much money for something that can be done relatively easy on your own.
Surely, if someone introduces you to a nice girl, you can treat them to some drinks or a meal, but I don't see why the exchange of money has to take place. unless, ofcourse, its something out of the extra-ordinary that warrants it. But then again, no one asked me! Just my two-cents worth. Cheers!!!

There is an American that owns an introduction agency in Barranquilla. The vast majority of the young single Colombian women without children in his agency are prepagos. In fact, his recruiters are prepagos. That agency charges $1,475 for just a few days of introductions. Yes, you read that correctly. He charges $1,475 for just a few days of introductions.
On another popular message board, that same agency owner is worshipped. The complete idiots on that forum line up to pay the owner $1,475 for just a few days of introductions. In fact, they often get engaged to one of the prepagos after knowing her for just a few days with little or no ability to comunicate to her in Spanish. Would any of those same Gringos get engaged to an American women just a few days after meeting her? It's both hilarious and pathetic.

But I think the guy the for mentioned WAS Walter for I met Walter once at Tienda Vieja and he has also Lived in NYC and also mentioned to me about his "Dating Service" project as well where as Ramon has never had aspirations to open and "agency".

I recommended going with chicas who were decent and nice - of which there are plenty in Cali - but I think his purpose was something else altogether. I told him that honesty was the best policy and that there was no reason to trick and deceive people in order to accomplish something good. But I guess he had other things in mind. This is a sure-fire way of creating big problems, if you asked me.

If people are stupid and desperate enough to buy that BULLSHIT, we should feel no compassion for them.
I agree with you about these guys meeting a girl for a few days and getting engaged, absolutely insane, they have "victim" and "born to lose" written on their foreheads, and every country they travel to it is translated.
Some guys are crazy, if you would not do something desperate in your own country why do it in another country. It is easy to get sex, especially in these latin countries, and especially if you know the language.
I personally don't think we should "tip" our hats to these gentlmen. I see the world little bit diffrently but I agree that any one who pays 1400 USD for introductions is "stupid" I do understand the position that they are in, many men in the united states are with out sex or ablity to even get a girlfriend, and the sex they can get is probly not wanted (think fat ugly chics). So Colombia is basically a "candy land" to be had for the asking price of casa owners, tour guides, brothel owners. But please don't kid your self, the owners of these "dating agencys" and gringo hotels, only care about making money for themselves, they will exploit the poverty of the colombians, and the desperation of the "Gringos" and if these men could they would have all prepagos in Colombia working for them and make every gringo in Colombia pay them 1400 USD for one hour of service, you may laugth at me call me crazy and tell me how it will never happen but the greed of club owners, dating agency, internet video sex shows, brothel owners combined with the desperation of the undersexed gringos whom now consider Colombia safe will change and is changing the enviorment that we use to know, and there anit no going back.
