Does anyone have any experience to share regarding the EL group, specifically EL Memento? Prices seem very high (1 jt for lowest level, of which the girl gets 400 k) so I'm guessing they only work a couple of times a day each. The building looks nice from the outside. Apparently if girls get plastic surgery they can be reclassified as Model or Supermodel and charge more, which I don't really understand either.

At my regular place I normally pay 600 k and the quality of the girls doesn't seem any different, maybe the rooms and facilities are what you're paying for?

I spent a week in Jakarta in September and another week in October. This was my first time using MiChat in Jakarta. I had never been able to install MiChat on my US phone during my previous trips, even though there seem to be workarounds online that I couldn't figure out. This time, I had a local phone, and installing the app was a breeze.

As soon as my flight landed in Jakarta, MiChat went crazy. I started receiving friend requests nonstop, and the messages began almost immediately. Most profiles offered full service or massages, typically quoting IDR 800 K to 1 million / juta initially. However, many were willing to negotiate down to IDR 500 K to 600 K for an hour and would agree to come directly to your hotel. One requirement was that they insisted on seeing a photo of your hotel access card, showing the hotel name, room number, and your name. Most arrived to my hotel room within 15-20 minutes. However, there was one major catch, almost every girl / woman who showed up looked different from the profile photo. This happened despite my explicitly stating that I would cancel and send her back if she didn't resemble her pictures.

One girl explained that she had no idea which photo had been used because she wasn't the person who had been messaging me. Apparently, an admin had handled the conversation. That's when I began to understand how this worked. It seemed they operate as a group involving an agent, an admin who managed the messages, and a driver who transports these girls between hotels. According to what I was told, the woman shared 50% of her earnings with the group.

Once I figured out the modus operandi, I reset my expectations. If the girl looked good and I was comfortable proceeding, I would accept even though she didn't look anything like in the photo. Otherwise, I would cancel and send her back, after paying IDR 100 K for her Grab fare, the girls were totally cool, even messaged me back offering to replace her with a different girl. The girls I encountered generally weren't quite in the same category as those working in the Classic and Kota Indah, but more like the girls you would find next door, malls, restaurants, streets without the makeups with ages from around 20 to 35. Overall, it was a mixed bag of experiences.

My takeaway is MiChat can be convenient if you are looking for morning availability or lazy to leave your hotel room, willing to lower your expectations and accept that the profile photos are not real, and be prepared for a very mixed experience. The biggest advantage of MiChat is Timing and Availability. Unlike most regular bars, which don't open until around 2 PM, MiChat gives you options in the morning, with girls willing to come directly to your hotel even at 10 am without any issues from the hotel staff.

I usually plan to fly into Jakarta inbound and return from Manila or Bangkok, although sometimes I fly inbound as well as outbound from Jakarta (two trips).

Any recommendations?[/QUOTE]I stayed at Sudirman Hill Residence, an apartment I booked on Agoda, couldn't tell any difference from Airbnb. It had a washer and dryer, kitchen, refrigerator and shares swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, gym with another adjacent hotel property, Somerset hotel. There is no free breakfast but plenty of restaurants and minimarkets, Alfamart, Indomaret, Family Mart nearby.

During my last trip to Jakarta in October, I stayed at Luminor Pecenongan and Ibis Styles Mangga Dua, and had a few interesting encounters with freelancers on the street.

The first encounter happened near Classic. As I was leaving in the evening from Classic, I noticed a girl entering the hotel. At first, I thought she might be arriving for her shift, so I said Hello,. She greeted me back and mentioned that she was heading to the restaurant to eat and asked me if I'm staying at Classic. I said no, and we exchanged numbers, and I messaged her later that evening to see if she wanted to come to my hotel. She said she had to return to South Jakarta cause she stays with her parents but promised to meet me the following day. True to her word, she showed up around noon to my hotel and stayed for a couple of hours. She was just 19 yr old, horny as hell, begged me to fuck her hard. I gave her 600 K to cover transportation, food, and snacks.

The second encounter was near Sawah Besar station on the way from Luminor Pecenongan to Classic. I came across at least three women in 30's who offered to accompany me to my hotel room for massage for 300 K. I passed on those offers.

The third encounter happened at the FamilyMart next to Ibis Styles Mangga Dua. I had stopped to pick up my favorite drinks, Pocari Sweat, Chocolate Milk, and You C1000 Orange drinks, when I noticed two young girls in 20's buying cigarettes. One of them wearing a yellow tank top, smiled at me, asked her what they are up to, they were open to come to my hotel room for company and money. She looked very young and cute, and quoted 500 K to come to my room. I decided to take her up on the offer. As we walked into the hotel, the guys near the lobby gave us thumbs-up and smiled, as if congratulating me on closing the deal.

The whole experience was amusing. I had never encountered so many freelancers on the street at other places besides Lokasari Plaza, alley near New Medika bar in Grogol, BATS and CJ bars during a single trip. Just keep your eyes and ears open, and you will find the freelancers even at unusual places.
