Girls like younger men, and that means shave the beard off.
This is a general truth bestowed upon me by a spiritual adviser, and it is true from Tijuana to Porto Allegre.
Headed down in May- just curious what Rio girls think of ample facial hair, beards? Asian girls prefer their men to look like teenage Korean boys with smooth dolphin skin hairless bodies, so I trim the beard as a gesture of good will. Haven't heard any intel on this issue if anyone would like to enlighten me.
Beards are normal now

However, something happened like 5-6 years ago. (I don't know if a famous athlete, singer or actor is responsible) but now you will see men all over Rio rocking goatees, moustaches and beards.

Any new barber shops that you go to these days in damn near any country are themed as such as well.

Closed?
When you say closed do mean permanently? Or just not open the time you were there?
Club 26 was closed.
Club 116 (the old Secret Terma) was closed.

Can someone that is in Rio right now give real update about the situation with the restrictions? I read that Decreto 48.644 says basically all the bars, restaurants and typical places visited by the tourists are closed till 5 April. I was wondering are they really follows these restrictions or still there are places where you can drink a beer or two? And no going to the beach? Really?

As I wrote earlier this week, you have to call ahead to make appointments at the prives, and walking in during business hours and asking for the apresentacao did not work even at some of the bigger prives like onix at rb156/2235 (thanks to johnny walker again, I will be sampling your recommendation ASAP; BTW, where did you stay? I seems in centro or copa in order to get the afternoon or evening dates with your girls).
The bars, restaurants, etc are mostly closed, but some beaches like at the Sheraton are open, and pools, such as at my hotel Transamerica are open.
More broadly, as the economist.com noted 10 months ago, many workers who rely on in person contact, such as our providers, can't afford to not work, and as I noted from a news item, 70% of favelitas don't have money for food, and government assistance cut off in January. All of which means that there is a huge and slow motion exploding cash crunch happening in Brazil.
It is war, economic war, like in 2011 - 2014, when 500,000 plus would riot over 5 centavos bus fare increases, but on steroids or more precisely, vaccines, because this is a country of have nots in a world where many haves in the rich world are envied, at the risk of lives, including 20 year olds now.
So, expect it to get violent. Nasty. Brutish. Short.
In other words, for those of us who like chaos, fun.
Hunting of pussy and bunda will be good.

First time in Rio
Headed to Rio this summer if things loosen up. I favor Cartagena over every mongering place I have been so far but of course Rio has to be tried.
Could some advise me what area is best to stay in for finding working girls.
I always stay in an Airbnb and have never had trouble taking women to my room. Is it the same there.
Where is the best place to see a selection. In Cartagena the Clock Tower plaza offered 50 to a 100 girls last January, even with the Covid thing.
About 300 k cop or 80 dollars gets a fine woman.
Every woman I met was willing to do anal. Is that a problem in Rio?
Any advice would be appreciated.

But dude, be careful what you wish for.

Pray for war.
Last time I was in Pattaya I was fresh off an embassy relief in Cambodia.
