You aren't going to get much cheaper than P25 K a month in Cebu for a long term, you might try some of the Pensionne's but they are kinda ratty imho.

You have posted this basic question in three different forums. Start reading from about 6 months ago and read forward. People on ISG are very willing to help with specific questions but hate repeating the same thing over and over.

First, Cebu could mean the city or the island. I'll assume you mean the city. Your airplane (assuming) will arrive on Mactan island and that is where you will find some beaches.

As others have already suggested, you need to rtff, or give a more specific question.

Question for all of you I am a first timer at DIA and never been to cherry blossom or any other dating site. So far I have found most of the girls are from southern part of Phlippines or Cebu and usually they are scammers wanting you to send them money for hospital or webcam etc. Etc. And if they are not scamming they do not look like there picture they posted on DIA (after seeing them on webcam). What the deal?

What is your secret to DIA? Maybe my standards are to high and all the good looking ones are scammers? I don't know can someone enlighten me?

Maybe should I ask this question at the chat section of the board? This report is dated, done before Xmas so caveat. Decided to put this under CEBU for a coupla reasons, primarily as you will likely have to go thru Cebu to reach Moalboal. Here are two links to help you

The later has a decent map. My suggestion is to take the AC bus leaving from Cebu's CITY LINK, cost ya less than P100. Figure on 2 hrs.

I drove down, took me an Hour and twenty with one stop. The area between
Car Car S. of Cebu and Barili is senic indeed with limestone cliffs and great views especially of the Tanon straight. Two places I will mention. Quo Vadis Hotel and Hannah's place resturaunt, Stayed at Quo Vadis for P1400 a night
no cable but a great pool, they run dive excursions out of the place but we stayed there also coz of the proximity to the much ballyhooed Paulitas Disco and I wanted to report on mongering for the brethern.

Spent most of the day in the pool with Mrs Spamhog, we learned that Paulitas was closed on Fridays and opened only ON SATURDAYS. So we decided to hit Hannahs place, mainly for me to sample the food.

Great food, nice views of the bay and beach. While I'm eating I saw three
ladies, hanging around probably looking for a live one, but the Boss snarled a few times and they moved on, I noticed that they hovered around, hanging
on the beach but eyeing the traffic near Hannahs.

After the meal we checked out the stroll, collection of bars resturaunts, nothing real great. Saw one open air bar that had potential for mongering. A few Foreigner/Filipina couples who looked permanent. Noticed a few unattached ladies here and there but nothing spectaculare.

In part two Spamhog rates Paulitas Disco.

We had made freinds with a few people, one was a Filipina/Cano pair, the lady was a local and returned from the US to escape the cold weather and visit relatives. gave us a lot of skinny on the place. The other was a guy
staying next to us, he was there alone, first timer to the PI...no idea why he came to Moalboal he wanted to score so I had gave this guy a crash coarse of my mongering experience. Told him to join us at the Disco Saturday we would help.

Paulitas opens late on a Saturday and ONLY on Saturday. Apparently the locals come from miles around. Our vacation couple friend told us that some of the folks were sort of low lifes, a few years back there were lots of gang fights and such but with the advent rise in tourism their act has cleaned up...somewhat. Walked to the place from our hotel and noticed all the lone males hanging around outside, I was later to learn that these guys bring their GF's here hoping to have them earn a bit of change banging foreigners.

Met out cherry boy, he was on his third beer, sitting alone and saving a nice table for us. They had a DJ playing the usual mix of funk and rock the Fils love. Saw LOTS of girls, none were very pretty, local ladies mostly trying to look sexy in Baratillio jeans and T tight shirts. Saw a few giving "the look" I nudged our new pal and told him how to follow up...guy was too shy or too afraid.

I also noticed several small troupes of Transvestites hanging around. We stayed there until 2 am, Cherry never made a move on a girl, so he probably went home alone. We left decided to find a resturaunt open. Noticed a few more ladies hanging around including the three beach combers from the previous night.

All in all, Moalboal was a nice getaway for me and the wife. I would rate its mongering potential low, a few ladies around but not much selection. Best bet is to Bring your own.

The place is seasonal, most of the tourists from Germany and UK arrive in April and June, otherwise the place is dead...this acocrding to a local (Expat)
I made friends with.

Thank you guys![/QUOTE]Imho Filipinas are used to ask money from foreigners; in their eyes we all are millionaires (in pesos this can be true! ). Just tell them you will not give them money without meeting them in person, that's a good selection criterium. Most scammers will leave you alone then. Anyway you can block them in messenger and mail programs.

Because I am retired I am not looking at girls aged between 25 and 40. Above the magic frontier of 40 there are less scammers, but the drawback there is that these mostly women want marriage. Even when they are separated after an unhappy marriage lasting many years. Culture.

City link is the SOUTHERN bus terminal it is walking distance to E mall if ya know where that is, Taxi drivers should know if you tell em

North terminal takes you to Malapasqua and Dan Bantayan, closer to SM.
