Do you know more details, of what went down? If the hotel did not stop him from going up. It sounds like maybe the police were watching the hotel or followed him from Manhattan's? And saw the hotel did not stop him, went in, got his room number, and the rest is history?
I assume the hotel got fined too. The reason he is banned.

I doubt that the guy actually did that much damage unless the room looked like the scene the day after in Las Vegas from the "Bachelor Party" movie but they can pretty much charge what they want when you are caught in that kind of compromising position and he was probably too scared to negotiate the price.
