The key element here is TIME!
I am loving this conversation and the different points of view. The topic of money and how we spend it is a very subjective issue. Recently I was in Santiago with a chica without a job who was reportedly a student, in my experience that is often an open door for a semi pro. At no time did we discuss money and there were only subtle hints about sex. We did a TLN on our second date and when we woke up in the morning I was still not sure about how to handle the money so I put 2 k in my pocket before I walked her outside to get a cab. I paid the taxi and nothing was said about money. We have whatsapped a few times and money has not come up.
Generally under the aforementioned circumstances a "regalo de dinero" would be expected but we have to be careful not to turn civilian, non pros into semi-pros. One of the disadvantages to being a monger is often equating sex to money more often than not it is but it felt good to experience the difference. Going forward I am going to be very sensitive as to whether money is appropriate and how much.
I too have had similar experiences with some women. No money being discussed. No talk about her being compensated. For me it's kneejerk to be impressed so easily and quickly when some women do that. Especially in the beginning. But what is interesting about those assessments is that they all were made over a short period of time. Very often only from our 1st encounter.
Months down the road, after consistent interaction I learned more about them. By then, they did expect help, compensation. By then I forgot all about how things were in the beginning. Internally I justified it. That their current interest in my $input $ is about, that was then, this is now. In other words, it inevitably comes out much later that the woman expects something from the man. Inspite of my kneejerk reaction of being impressed always in the beginning, I'd be more impressed if me or other dudes report the same woman never asking or (taking money from a man) after, lets say 6 months of fucking his brains out. Now that would be truly impressive. My overall point is, a woman not asking for money, or talking about money is really nothing to be impressed by.
Just like women shouldn't necessarily be overly impressed by a man who doesn't work towards getting the juice as soon as he can from a woman. Women and men alike are both capable of playing the waiting game. Moreover, we usually are much older than many of the women we deal with. Some women may be afraid to ask for money or compensation, because their biggest fear is being perceived as a puta. And that may be the main reason a young lady may not hint about money or compensation. It's not unreasonable to consider the possibility that some women hope the guy offers, and does it smoothly so she doesn't look like a puta.
Another strategy is a woman can discuss her problems with a guy. She won't ask, but she may hope that his awareness of her needs kicks in. If she regards him as her novio, then it's likely she will expect him to offer help. Eventually! The question isnt only about does she want compensation/help, the important consideration is when?
