Marriage in Name only. Typical PI marriage, husband or wife is OFW. Husband and wife see each other once every three years. The very first Filipina I met (Taiwan) maaannnny years ago was married, I found out thru brilliant detective work she no amatuer at hiding it either, false passport, numerous alias' etc.

You see examples like the one Etat quotes alot, typical situation hubby is overseas, probably doesn't send money (Or not enough. Hell, its NEVER enough. Spends it on HIS numerous GF's. Wifey gets mad and goes looking for foreigner to pay the bills. Some of them end up in a bar I suppose but most freelance on the Inet, web cam girls etc.

Does anybody know if any of the upscale resorts around cebu city will let you use there pool if not staying at the resort. Lets say if you were to buy drinks at the pool bar? I will be there a month or more I'm staying at the richmond condotel any suggestions? How about the city gym at the waterfront hotel area does anybody know any thing about this place?

I've gone to a nicer Mactan resort to use the pool/beach, but there was a day charge. Something like 500 pesos per person -- and then you still spend money on overpriced food and drinks.

I suspect you could slip into the pool at Waterfront. I've had drinks poolside and it doesn't appear that they make any efforts to find out if you are staying there. But I never got into the pool, nor used their gym -- so I'm not sure.

I recommend you send them an email and ask about their policy.

I have used the facilities at the Waterfront and they are second to none, especially the health suite, but I was a guest of a paying member. One thing I will say is that the drinks are extremely expensive, I was charged (sorry they attempted to charge) me 400 pesos for one orange juice. Even though this is probably one of the best hotels in Cebu (in my humble opinion), a few rounds of drinks will come to the price of a mid range hotel for the night.

Most Mactan resorts charge 500P per head to use their facilities, although if you say you are going to book dive trips, rent jetskis etc sometimes you can avoid that charge. But if you go out that far why not just swim in the Sea?

In town, Waterfront pool is tops but access might be more difficult. Marriott pool has a separate entrance (along pathway to Ayala Center) which is sometimes unlocked and unguarded. Most midrange hotels seem to lack a pool which is a bit odd.

Lacking ANY interest in kareoke, I avoid those places like the plague. But after forcing my GF and her sister to watch a few dancers at Temptations, they wanted to sing and I recalled Love City KTV's sign just across the street from the Viking. As we entered (about midnight on a Friday), there were two girls clad only in panties engaged in what looked like a very sexy show. The place was PACKED. As much as I wanted to sit down and watch, not wanting to push my luck with my honeyko I asked the papasan about kareoke rooms. He said 1500 minimum consumption (a HUGE ripoff, but to please my mahal I will do most anything), led us to a kareoke room and showed the girls how to operate the machine. There was a two way mirror in back with a small dance chamber with mirrorball and a couple girls passed through it.

So we order 2 margaritas and a screwdiver (total=500P so I am thinking 3 rounds of drinks to meet the 1500). So after they sing a few songs they bring the drinks and a 300Piso shot of tequilla. I say I did not order that and declined to sign the slip showing 800P of consumption. The manager was summoned and gave me some BS about "for the mamasan to get a commission" or some such and I said "sorry I did not agree and do not agree".

He got snippy and said "pay your bill then". To me, this was manna from heaven as the girls got the kareoke out of their system and it only cost me 500P! Best of all we got to leave (though would not have minded staying to watch the bold show)

Most people talk about just taking a taxi and letting girls come to you with their annoying little pimps on Jonquera. How do you enter these places. I think they're set pretty far off the road if I'm not mistaken. I'm not sure I'd want to be walking around that area by myself in the dark, in fact I'm sure.

P1000 sounds like a lot, really a lot for Jonquera. I thought it was more like P500. Maybe it's all nickles and pennies at these prices, but I'd rather pay p500 there. Otherwise the "premium" you get for just p1500 on mango is 100% worth it.

I never paid more than p1500 on mango last year, inclusive of BF and tip. That was short time I guess.

If you take an ugly one (they have many with a babybelly at Silver Dollar) for ST she is cheaper, if you ask a pretty babe for whole night she is expensive (like 700P BF + 2500P girl). And for those prices they will stay whole night!

What I do? Always go to one and the same "little store" mamasan at Junquera street.

She knows me. I get a girl for whole night for 1000P.

If she has no nice girl she gets other girls from other mamasans.

Next day I tell here how I liked the girl and she kickes out the girl that is not worting good. Those girls will never steel from you otherwise they have big problems.

BTW , ALL , realy ALL the girls downtown on the street have to work for/pay to Mamasans. So be carefull as you take a girl from abroad to downtown.

My girl from abbroad was pulled on the hair until I payed 100P to a helping girl of a downtown mamasan. But you can take easely a downtown girl to any hotel in Cebu. no problem.

I had a few times a Jonquera girl who was even once in the glossy Waterfront Lahug hotel, imagin; a 25$ girl in a 250$ hotel.

In the US it is exactly countrary, 25$ hotel and 250$ for the (way way older)girl...

My local friends usually pay around 700p these days. Recently I have paid over 1000p but it was in a different locale nearby called Bonifacio Camagayan Jakusalem. Most of the women there are students and will stay at least 8 hours and sometimes 12. Will file a FR on this area soon!

Mango Avenue bars are charging and getting upwards of 2000p this year. Since the majority of the customers are tourists, they will gladly pay whatever it takes to bf a girl.

Anyone have anything to report on this place? Heard some rumors it was resurfacing.

Sunflower is useless nowadays, Pump can be all Korean some nights, and for young guys only, on the odd occasion it does have filipinas there. Admittedly my Pump Cardinal Reyes research, stretches only over about five visits. Other Pump, in Mango, complete dud, only night I went there.

There is a need for a workers pick up disco as Club Circus was in days of old. Eighty per cent nice looking hookers, 10/20% nice girls wanting to be corrupted. Lovely pickings. And waitresses in tiny pleated min skirts, buzzing around on roller skates, tray full of beers. Them were the days. Early 1980's and beyond.

It's just a dream. Couldn't possibly happen again, could it?

Would agree that Sunflower is useless. Was tehre in March and if was not for the company of 3 lovelies (two of whiich I later enjoyed) I would have left immediately. Band was good though and grinding with 18 and 19 year old cuties does make your judgement somewhat suspect :D

i've been reading on another board about some clubs in cebu being busted for providing **** girls. was leaning toward a trip to cebu sometime over the next few months as my first visit to the phils but now....

Well not completely because the night to go is Thursday night (ladies night). Yes the club needs a makeover and the same two bands are getting stale but there are still many women to be had on the Thursday I was there recently. Will file a report soon.

Once I went with a former EDSA go-go girl. Damn! She owned that dance floor.

Once I went there and saw the SpamHog shaking his booty on the dance floor with his pretty lady.

My biggest complaint is that the beer is sometimes too warm.

Of course maybe the place has far fewer customers now that PUMP is in business.
