I think your last sentence is way off the mark. GT is my favorite cathouse, anywhere, and I've mongered in a lot of places. It sure beats the border MP's and hooker bars anyway, huh? (Like you I started out visiting Juarez, Ciudad Acuna, etc., and my first trip to Cartagena Colombia was an eye opener)
I probably should have phrased that a lot better. The intent of that statement was to say that Panama isn't normally regarded as a place to monger, not that the quality of the women to be had in Panama is lesser than anywhere else in the area. Within the Caribbean/Central America area, a lot more attention gets paid to Costa Rica, the D. R. , and some of the islands like Curacao and others.
Either way, it's a lot more fun than Nuevo Laredo now a days, and certainly better and more cost effective than Atlanta.
Does anyone know if the Veneto has free WiFi around their hotel?
What about some of the other major hotels?
No the Veneto does not have free Wi Fi but there are numerous cheap internet places closeby. The one that I went to is right across the street.

Considering Panama City
I've been to SJO 3 times but just now I'm considering Panama City. The Colombiana's at the Blue Marlin are all business and expensive. Are they just the same in PC? I just got back from Cartagena and loved it. Any clubs in PC like LDV?
I'm going to start reading this forum tonight but would appreciate any comments and comparisons.
Many thanks,
Hoser

1) Le Palace strip club
2) Clean tapwater
3) Low crime
4) U.S. money at par
5) Low tourist trap factor
Try finding all those in any other Latin American country, I bet you cant

3)I like low crime which is always a big concern when picking a latin american destination.
4)Usually you can do better paying in the countries currencies expecially with Ticas in CR and with the Colombiana's in Colombia.
5)Cartagena had 10 touts a minute trying to sell me something which I can't stand. It's really the only thing that bothered me about CTG.
1)Le Palace strip club? Now you've got my interest. Please tell me more!
Thanks,

The main freelancer clubs, like LDV, are La Bodeguita, Habano's, and the Veneto Casino. La Bodeguita might come closest to LDV, but there's live music, it's a lot more crowded, and some people aren't there for PFP. Habanos is a laid back cigar bar. The Veneto is a like an upscale Blue Marlin, only it's not as dominated by *****s -- majority of the people actually go there to gamble -- there's not nearly the selection you'll find in the Del Rey, and it's not a good daytime option.
In terms of GFE and finding a freelancer to move in with you for several days, I'd rate PTY about midway between SJO and CTG. There are more Colombian women looking for the long term score (i.e., Western Union or even marriage) in Panama than San Jose. This is a gross generalization, but I've gotten more of the San Jose experience in the massage parlors, Golden Time and the Veneto Casino, and more GFE in Habano's, La Bodeguita, and the high-end strip bars. I've had good experiences at the casinos at El Panama and the Riande Continetal too, although the last couple of times I was in Panama there wasn't much action there.

Hoser
Take off eh, you hoser ;)
Le Palace is THE best upscale strip club in Panama City, and it also offers take-out. They hire only the best looking Colombian women, every girl there ranges from 7 to 10, no under 7's allowed to work there.
Only drawback its reasonably expensive, I forgot the takeout price but it'll run you a few hundred bucks for TLN. But for me money is not an object so I like to fly in for the weekend and indulge myself.
Also what I like about PTY is its not a real tourist trap.
Its more of a business city with its canal and banking district

Sounds good. Are you fellow hoser by any chance, eh?
For me I can't spend too much cash so maybe too pricey for me. Like, take off eh!

Problem is I need to connect airplanes so it's an all day thing for me to get there. When ever I go so place I usually stay for a week. Do you think I can find enough to do for a week?

That means you spent a long weekend and only pay for 4 hotel nights.
I really dont like staying longer because I can only bang so many women before I get bored with the whole deal.
I leave Toronto and always make sure I connect in either Atlanta or Miami (preferably Miami). This way you cut a 5 hour flight in 2 equal parts of 2.5 hours each.
This makes the flight bearable and when you arrive in Tocumen you'll be fresh to hit the bars that same thursday night.
I usually go hard thu-night, take it easy fri-night and order in from Golden Time, then go hard and hit the Palace again sat-night.
Sunday is for sleeping in and relaxing. Monday I fly out again.
Of course the girls at Habanos provide quality service since the Mariott hotel is across the street. Those girls know that you Gringos talk so she doesn't want to burn her bridges with a bad repuation.
Habanos is a cigar bar with about 10 or 15 Colombian hookers sitting on the cafe waiting to talk to a Gringo as they enter and exit the hotel. The Gringos see these sexy girls and go over to talk to the girls. They feel confortable.
The Whole 9
What kind of price for the Colombianas at Habanos? ST & LT?

Another thing I like about Panama is its not cheap to monger. This keeps the riff-raff out and prevents it from becoming another Del Rey in Costa Rica or Help in Rio, where its crawling with sex-tourists.
The last thing I need is some 60-year old drunk guy bragging of how he fucked some 18 year old all the while spitting beer in my face as he's talking.
Last time I was in Veneto there was no more than 20 to 25 Gringos, and they were all well behaved. I have yet to see a fight or some American get beliggerent, most guys I met there are reasonably affluent and just out for a good time

I'd need to shorten my stay to 4 days because I don't have that much cash to throw around. On the flip side I could afford to stay in Thailand for 4 months.
