Take it all with a grain of salt. People can pretty much say whatever they like and some posters do just that. Having said that, there is useful information here.

I share a few anecdotes but the primary motivation for my reporting is to share intel on diferent locations so that fellow mongers can be informed should that decide to visit the places I have been.

You can sort out the wheat from the chaff.

I found Sosua to be a monger paradise because I paid attention to the fans, and mostly disregarded the negativity and the critics. But positive and negative, they are all here, so there's something for everybody.

YYZ to POP $524 CAD with Air Transit. Been a long time since I taken a direct flight from YYZ to POP. Normally do BUF to JFK to POP because cheaper but Toronto managered to be cheaper this time, I was amazed worth a note for all the Toronto people.

I was picked up from airport by car rental company which is located in Sosua for Free with free drop off. So no need for me to pay taxi. Been renting cars from same company for years but they still pick up anyone from the airport for free if you rent with them. I got I better rate then someone else does due to the fact I have rented soo many times 28 US / day new SUV for sosua it was a 2011. Normally 35 to 40 US / day the cheapest. They will not barging with new people so don't ask. Respect is earned in the DR with locals.

Exchange rate $1 Cad = 34.80 on the ground not banks or ATM's. Was $42 in July 2014 worth a note since CAD down compared to USD. Guys it cuts 20% off the top of your money. F**k.

*Note: All my review if I can write them will be under a bottle of brugal and presidente mix with W**the LOL in my room because it takes about 4 hrs + for me to write and edit for my personal life notes, about my adventures though life. It is one of the nicer spots in Sosua with VIP and pool tables.
