I am on some course of medication and need to mostly avoid food from outside... ...which has a Microwave and little more facilities for basic cooking?...
If you are on a diet for health reasons, the first thing I would stay away from is a microwave.

Thanks,
If you are on a diet for health reasons, the first thing I would stay away from is a microwave.
Thanks Tiger, What I really wish to stay away now is red meat, oily and spicy food. So microwave is good.
Thanks Ej2208, Gaolei. I will look into what you suggested.

Staying at the View Talay 6 for a few days in December. My first time in Pattaya. If anybody has stayed there Is this a good place to stay. I. E. Location wise? I booked through dancewatchers which now I think may have been a mistake. From advice read on the forum I won't really have plans but any advice about the area from would be much appreciated.
Thanks bros.

I always stay in VT 6. Have been for the last three years and will be back in three weeks. I use to book through Dance Watchers but do not any more. For me the location is great. One can hop the bt bus to W / S or walk to Soi 7/8 or hop the bt bus up to Soi6. Central Plaza is right next door. Lots of places to eat, lots of eye candy, great movie theater. So for me the location is great. But it is a 'each to their own'.

Thanks bros.
The thing about Pattaya and mistakes is that they go hand in hand. It is inevtiable and it doesn't matter if it is your 1st trip or your tenth. The area is OK. Good for Soi 7 and Soi 8. Not too far from Soi 6. And, not to far from the much malinged Soi 13/4. Home of the PHouse. If you have time take a look. You might like it.
And the next lesson is that Thai girls usually quote their age as their next birthday. So a 19-yo will say she is 20, etc. Of course, as they become familiar with farang ways, they realise that we find that confusing, and start using the Western system. So as you say if in doubt, especially around the younger ages, then check the girls' ID.
How can you read the info of the Thai IDs (it's not written with an Asian alphabet)?
They charged me 30 baht for two bottles of water when I checked out. But at 900 a night I could afford it.
The hotel. And its TWO pools. Was almost empty. No problem with short time guests, as long as they had I'd's.
The condition generally shabby, but everything works. Basic buffet breakfast for 110, which I only tried once.
Some hotels have a list of items placed in the room. Problem is they check and replenish daily charging you on check out.
So it is kind of hard to replenish every day from 7-11.
I heard if you request the hotel to take all the items off during your stay they will do that. I have not tried that.
How to tell the girl not to take that drink or chocolate after she gives you good sex?
How to tell the girl not to take that drink or chocolate after she gives you good sex?
Sammon,
I usually stop off at a 7/11 shop on the way back to my hotel with my new 'Playmate. '
You can then buy drinks & snacks (and CONDOMS, if you need them) at reasonable prices AND make sure you have the correct notes for payment plus a little tip if deserved.
It works for me!
Hotman.
How can you read the info of the Thai IDs (it's not written with an Asian alphabet)?
Not to mention the date is expressed in Buddhist calendar, not gregorian. Need to be thai or well aware on how to read the birthday.

You can tell the maid, they don't care. Some of the stock is not available in a 7/11. Use the refrigerator for your water, etc. If a chick wants candy give her 20 baht and tell her to get it at 7/11
Not to mention the date is expressed in Buddhist calendar, not gregorian. Need to be thai or well aware on how to read the birthday.
I believe all Thai I'd cards produced the last four-five years have the name written in both Thai and Latin script. The date of birth is likewise written both using the Buddhist era counting (Thai script) and Christian era counting (Latin script).
If the Thai Alphabet is not an Asian one, what do you consider it to be?
Of course I consider the Thai alphabet as an Asian one. My question was more in the following sense: that's written in Thai, isn't it (not an occidental alphabet)? So how can you read it?
Not to mention the date is expressed in Buddhist calendar, not gregorian. Need to be thai or well aware on how to read the birthday.
Well. I imagine that the best solution is to ask the hotel reception to check it?
-
For gosh sakes. How hard can it be to subtract their birth year, if it is in the Thai Calendar format on the Identity card, from 2555 which is 2012. And there you have the age. So say the Identity card says 2538. SO 2555 minus 2538 equals 17 years old. Jail bait.

Jgm005, I don't say that it's hard. I was just asking a question.
Thanks for the info.
