Pizdyets, Jake, thank you for your valuable set of information, I guess I will give a chance to a salon, Fantasys looks closer to my accomodation (hotel in Belorusskaya area).
As for chemistry, I totally agree with you, Jake, I also like something more than picking a specimen at the flesh market. This can be enough to get "short-term" horny but doesn't leave this special taste in the mouth after you zip up your pants after the show.
I've always succeeded in igniting a sparkle while contacting gilrs in dating sites (not escort sites) in my other, more frequent, destinations (Baltics) but in such places it's definitely easier to find "everyday, next-door" girls with remarkable command of English. On the other hand, such Baltic girls are more distrustful and tend to disregard foreigners as unreliable, so from a certain point of view it's a more difficult environment.
Moscow is more challenging from a language point of view of course, but I am going on "talking" by email with one girl I found in dosug, I feel she can offer more than a couple of holes to fill.
I still have 2, 5 weeks before my trip to Moscow to light the fire with her, I am not in a hurry and I want to try to set up a valuable stage for the performance.
Pizdyets,
I never drove in Moscow, but I have been riding in cars many times when the driver was flagged over. There never seems to be any sense as to why, they are just as likely to flag down a Lada as a Beemer. I have some friends who keep cash stashed inside the folder with their documenti, for the inevitable shake-down.

GAI most definintely has a few profiles for pulling people over, all geared towards maximizing their bribes:
- trucks of any sort (these guys have more document requirements than cars, and thus more likely to be able to extract a bribe)
- clean, high-end cars without government (OOO, EKX, MP, etc) plates (probably have docs in order, but the potential payoff is higher than a Zhiguli)
- "chyornie" (darker skinned non-Slavics) of any sort (just like on foot, these guys are 20x more likely to be pulled over on the street too)
- just about anyone from 2am to 8am on a Saturday or Sunday morning (likely to have had something to drink, no matter who they are, or what they're driving)

You're right, when confronted with law enforcement of any kind, it's best to play the part of the dumb American/tourist. It's a stereotype of which they have already persauaded themselves. Although, one of the most difficult things I've ever had to do was to pretend that I didn't speak Russian.

But you spend much more time there than I am able to, so I think your Russkii dolzhno buit sovershyenii (must be perfect).
Should be perfect, but in actuality a far cry from it! What can I say... it's a difficult language!

That's basically what I was thinking of when I decided to buy a Nissan Almera Classic. Almeras are like Focuses here - every apartment building has a few of them. In retrospect I might have gone for a Lancer - the engine is smaller but the girls think it's a sportscar because of the design. :)

Generally vkontakte is mostly used by people from St.Petersburg and the rest uses Odnoklassniki. However vkontakte is gaining popularity.
There's also one that mail.ru has. Mail.ru is good because you can go to 'moy mir' and also to the romance section, which always features a wide variety of P4P. You just text the girls in pink boxes and they'll respond with prices.

Lukasek already knows Rick who rented him a shitty apartment back in 2004.
Maybe you could call Rick trustworthy? Best skill is he speaks English, but service is lacking in several areas. Flaky, slow to respond to inquiries with a staff that may rip you off given the opportunity as happened last time I stayed with him.
Another option is http://www.moscow-comfort.com/ although it is Russian run.
Run By Ca Travs' former assistant Sveta who is an absolute stunner might be a better option.
Just a thought

Moscow Star
Rick is a good guy, I've never had any problems with renting from him.
It is true that he does leave a lot to be desired in terms of communication, but somehow, everything seems to work out in the end. Sort of like life in Russia in general. I think maybe he's been doing business in Russia for so long that he just assumes that is the standard.
I've never been able to call him directly, best way to contact him is by email: rick@moscow-star.com. That usually does the trick.

May I know the cost of renting for 1 month, fully furnished, 1 BR apartment, fully furnished with internet connection/tv/ gym...in a average locality close to metro station.
What will be the cost per month?? I will like to stay in moscow for 2-3 months.
Also, how about learning Russian language in a language school. Is it too expensive??

We are in agreement that Rick is a good guy.
Where I have concerns is how he does business along with the trustworthiness of employees.
Compare how Oksana in Piter runs her Apt Biz or Moscow Star when CT had it and the difference is night and day. Rick markets USA standards on both websites; he might want to fulfill that agenda.
I think the best explanation is that Rick can be flaky and less than organized. Or perhaps he is too busy banging the RU Devs. IMHO

Apartment Providor
Guys,
On the last 4 or 5 times i have been in Moscow i have used a company called Pullford and they have been very helpful and not overly expensive.
The apartments are basic but the ones i have been in have all been very well located and reasonably priced as compared to hotels.
