Let's use Scandallo as our case study. When I go to Scandallo, I notice that the main clientele is the local guys, not the tourists. Portugese is the predominant language spoken among the male clients. I rarely hear any non-Portugese dialogues. Therefore, I believe the market makers are the wealthy locals, not the tourists. The tourists don't have enough volume to be the market makers. The Brazilian men who frequent Scandallo must be the socioeconomic elites of Sao Paulo. They must earn way above the average salary of their countrymen. The minimum amount to have a 1-hour fun at Scandallo is R200 entry + R500/ HR for the girl + R230/ HR for the room = R930. If a local guy makes it a habit to go to Scandallo a few times a week, he must earn a handsome income to support this habit. R930 is the rock-bottom cost for a fun night at Scandallo for the most frugal guys. If you do two or three sessions a night and eat / drink to your heart's content, the cost will be significantly higher. And there are enough well-heeled locals to keep the Scandallo girls well-fed, at the minimum rate of R500/ HR.

I've been to Scandallo. The girls are not better than Miruna. It's in the middle of a urban sprawl with no end in sight. The clinicas like Miruna and in Brooklin and Ceci are the good values in SP. The best terma in RJ is Perola Negra, precisely because it is on the beach. The talent in Perola Negra overlaps with 4 x 4, the girls go back and forth.

The last time I was in Perola Negra was with Mr E. We popped our heads in after having gone to VM, where we both sessioned. I think most of us would advise against running around trying to hit all the major termas. Find a place where you like the vibe, the girls and enjoy yourself. I think 4 x 4 would be a great place to start. If you want to hit other Centro termas nearby, then fine you're in Centro. Solarium is good as well. Centaurus and Monte Carlo are more expensive, generally smaller and cater to tourists who don't want to bother leaving Copa and Ipanema. Save them for last if you need an easy, convenient session.

If so it used to be called Club 400 and I used to go there on weekends when it turned into a swing club called Henri Club which was very good at the time. I was at Perola Negra on a Saturday in early May from 20 h to around 21:45 h and it was DEAD.
