apologies first as i'm maybe repeating a question that i'd posed earlier without getting a reply - i'm sure that this isn't the best website etiquette - but then again i'm in korea for a short time so getting a bit desperate on time.

apologies second as no doubt a few of the other questions i've got have no doubt been asked and answered on here in the past - i'm not really a regular visitor to the s. korea board so may have missed some of the stuff.

anyhow, for what it's worth i've got a few random questions - answers / thoughts on any of them individually appreciated, even if the thought of answering all is understandably a bit much:

1. does friends still accept foreigners? last time i was here i experienced the hj of my life, but it was right as the crackdown was starting and i've heard that since they've changed the door policy.

2. if friends doesn't - is there anywhere else (seoul / daegu / busan) that offers the same type of service - i.e. great 45 mins massage followed by even better 15 mins hj / bj - administered by young fresh looking girls (or at least my (the youg side) of 35)

3. what's the deal with the barbers poles - never managed to work that one out even when i was living here in 1994/5. always thought that 2+ meant possibility of action - however every barbers shop i see has at least 2 - they can't all be - can they?

4. what possibilities at 'love hotel' type places - was thinking of checking in and asking them to call one of the girls from the calling cards rep001tered about for me - although i could see this becoming very embarassing very quickly if that kind of service isnt on offer.

5. keep reading bits about the crackdown - frankly could do without being arrested / deported - i steer clear of 588 / miari type places anyway, but anything else to avoid?

sorry once again for the ramble - i'm in the difficult position of speaking no korean (and looking western) with only a short time in korea but so much temptation around - any help in ridding me of the blue balls much appreciated.

I have read that there is a sizeable RLD in Cheonho Dong. Does anyone know where it is?

yes, cheonho has a huge rld. however, the dark narrow alleys are not as inviting, lit up, or in-your-face type of places like in yongsan/588/ or miari..

the girls don't sit behind the windows and there's no one to call you in if
they want the business. the windows are covered with black drapes on the inside so you can't see the girls. you actually have to make the effort or should i say "have the balls" to open the door, walk in, and check out the action. i doubt if the girls even speak minimal english. i use to live in the area a couple of years ago and explored the ominous alleys. never went in though.

where is it you say?

difficult to explain. from the main street, keep walking towards "nabi" (나 비) shopping mall, pass it, pass another tiny intersection, keep walking another 200 metres until you hit a t-section (by this time you should have passed all the clothing stores and bars). from here, you can only go right or left. go left (in other words, north). stay on the right hand side of the street (on the side where the cars go north)keep walking. then you will find a small street that turns right. go there. keep walking. you'll see the windows and the dark drapes. literally, dozens of places with interwinding alleys. if you go at night, it's a labyrinth; not for the faint at heart. good luck bro'.

I shall do some recon and check it out. I have heard that the cops are keeping a pretty close eye on the RLD in Cheonho Dong. I am able to pull of this dumb lost foreigner look.


I was in Yangsan a few weeks back. I have only been there a few times. Anyway I noticed what appeared to be a brand new police station right in front of the RLD. Anyway I went for a walk to see what kind of business was going on. Only a few girls were out and there were cops in the alleys and 6-7 standing at one of the entrances. (from an alley)


So it seems like Yangsan will be a difficult situation.

I just got back in from Itaewon. As I passed the subway entrance near the Hamilton, I got propositioned by two Korean chicks. The better looking was about 40, tons of makeup, but was wearing the long, black leather, hooker boots that I so love.
