They went through the resort and renovated the entire place. The food is basic and plain, but for me it is ideal and healthy. I genuinely like the place and a guy that I brought with me one time loved it, and he was used to high end stuff.

The washrooms are clean (you may have to do your business while the chica is mopping the floor in the next stall Lol)

I can more or less pick my room location once I get there, and we get extra special service in the restaurants from Francesco and Fabia.

Oh yeah, then there's that sweet deal!

Bottomline, I am told we can expect more arrests and confiscation of passports of mongers from the NE who the local politicians and policia will be harassing to stop them from coming to Sosua.

Apparently, many of these mongers are loud, obnoxious, physically aggressive, rude, belligerent and overall unsavory types used to a life of violence and guns. They want this out of Sosua, if possible, and are being paid by the real estate developers and new upscale condo owners to get this done.

Please do not kill the messenger, I am just sharing what I've been told by those in the know and who are close to the real estate developers. I have no property in the DR, will not be owning one, and just come and go and keep a low profile. They were trying to get me to buy and I said no, no thanks! I prefer to keep moving around, DR, Brazil, Peru, CR, Colombia and Asia.

So, yeah, bros from the NE and all mongers to Sosua shoud pay attention to this, and be aware that they could be arrested at any time if they are violent, being aggressive in a violent way, or have guns, not checking cedulas or taking other risks with the chicas who might report them via their family and friends.

I read much and no where have I seen any Bros having guns or being violent. It is clear that racist sterio types are being projected. Not killing messenger sharing the truth. In truth the report says nothing about where or who the arrested guys were. They could have 16 white frat guys but for some reason that is not the assumption.

The USA Embassy is not going to just show up in Sousa for nothing. This should let everyone know check identification. i am just trying to be helpful with updates so people can make good decisions.

And this is just speculation. Probably by the Italians and Germans who live there. The Italians are more involved in the real estate development business.

Every time I am in Sosua, usually every about 3-4 months, one of my amigos who now lives there has to go help a bro, or see a bro who just landed in the local jail. Usually for getting into a fight or violence with a chica. Incidents usually happen after 130 am.

Data is handed to the DR govt and local policia within 72 hours after arrival only when there is a prior US felony conviction involved with a US passport holder. This is a fairly new process, I am told.

Now if tourists are just strolling along Playa Sosua and getting arrested for just being a tourist, that's a different story.

It's possible there could be more raids or arrests taking place, giving the impression that all of a sudden things are changing. Many times these are just temporary phases. However, please don't give the impression that just because you're a tourist from the NE or a punter that all of a sudden there's a huge risk of you being arrested. If you are coming down to screw chicas and not cause a problem, and not carrying a gun, and not being violent. Like 99% of punters, then you have nothing to worry about.

I'll be down in a couple weeks, it's been several months now since I was in Sosua and I'm looking forward to not being arrested and being pleasured multiple times a day.

They want tourists, they need tourists. The hotels need the business, the resrtaurants, bars and vendors on playa Sosua too!

The chicas also need dineros and some simply want to enjoy and have some fun times while they are still under 30.

The FOCUS is SOLELY on those that do not behave themselves and / or conduct themselves well. And particularly focused on those who, ALSO, have a felony criminal record in the US.

They are simply tired of this increase in guys with felony criminal records in the USA coming to Sosua and behaving like thugs. Simple as that!

Because that is affecting the real estate developers with the major dineros for the politicians and the policia.

The tourists, individually speaking (meaning 100 or 500 per year that they may have to arrest, and confiscate passports and deport back to the USA), are irrelevant from the standpoint of dineros, for the local government versus real estate development.

And it puts the USA Embassy in an embarrassing position, exactly where the DR government wants them!

So this looks like an upscale development. Could be that too many people were having too wild of a party, Or too many women coming in and out over a few days straight, and the neighbors complained. Pretty much the same should this happen in my neighborhood in the suburb with a homeowners association. Certainly not where "bros" were simply being "obnoxious", showing folks their criminal record "rap sheet" and shoving people outside of Rumbas. This has zero impact on a NY "bro" coming down to have fun on the strip, going to Classicos and whoring-while-black.
