I'm sure you can find them for less in the strip clubs. Depends on how you shop around. The exchange rate with the US dollar can vary considerably. I've seen it go over 7 reais per dollar, and at one point it dipped below 5. If you can find a girl who came to Santa Catarina from the Amazon, they usually offer outstanding sex. They are raised in that environment to be open about sex and please the man. Unfortunately they also tend to be mentally unstable. Good for short term, but often not for long term.
