I ride this train a few time yes you are correct they are male attended.
Well you couldn't have ridden it very often if you didn't notice the women serving the food and drink from the dining car. Though I'll admit it's probably been a long time since they offered onboard tricks.
NicFrenchy,
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ... are you talking to me?
LBM, was talking about girls that work in salons in Thailand.

No, it was not you I was talking to

I ride the BKK-CM-BKK, BKK-Surin-BKK and BKK-Udon Thani-BKK trains several times a year and here is what I know: the girls get on at one stop, serve food, and then get off a few stops later to wait for the next train returning in the opposite direction. For the most part these are uneducated farm girls and not what one would consider Western fvcking material. That's not to say that some poor rice picker from Two Bug Fvck could be persuaded to do whatever to whomever for a few Baht. But it definately isn't the norm. The few times I have visited the few dining cars on Thai trains they have had an all male staff. Food is usually sold and served in the riding cars.
My wife and I are taking the BKK-Surin train tonight and the BKK-CM train next week for our annual visit up North to buy Burmese antiques. If anything has changed, or if I am wrong, I will gladly post a correction and appology to Betong.
That's not to say that some poor rice picker from Two Bug Fvck could be persuaded to do whatever to whomever for a few Baht.
As I said, the girl I personally knew doing this was a uni student, working during her holidays. She was a part-time employee of the catering company the SRT used and perhaps still uses to staff the dining cars. By all accounts she was far from the only one on the game. The arrangements for these things were discreet, made in advance, and basically required you to have a 1st class compartment to yourself. That's the only reason I didn't try it myself -- it added up to a lot of money for a short-time.
I find it interesting that at least a couple of you guys obviously don't even want to believe such a thing could happen. Thailand in many ways was a much more free-wheeling place in the '70s and early '80s, and anyone who worked and traveled with male Thai colleagues then, as I did, would see all kinds of things like this. Since you clearly don't want to take my word for this, just ask a few oldtimers in CM. David U (I won't give his last name here but it's easily searchable), the guy who writes the N Thai motorcycle touring books, would be a good place to start.

Betong... I defer to your expertise. I've only been coming to Thailand since the Viet Nam war so I really don't know much about the country and obviously that doesn't qualify me as an old timer. I know some guys who have been here since the 1950's. Do they qualify, or do they have to live in CM and write books on motorcycle touring?
Now, there is some credibility to the statement that you had to have a first class compartment to yourself and everything was arranged in advance. Anything with enough advanced planning and money is possible. I could call an escort agency and tell them to send someone to my cabin when the train stops at whatever water buffalo hole in the middle of nowhere. You could pay off the attendent to look the other way as you sneak a girl into your cabin. But why bother? And as for shagging one of the girls from Two Bug Fvck who sells plates of Khao Pot and Pepsi Cola in little plastic bags, I don't think so. But, like I said, anything with enough advanced planning and money is possible.
However, your statement about Thailand being a much more free-wheeling society in the 1970's is totally incorrect. It was different country then and some areas, especially close to American Military Bases, were like the lawless old wild wild West where anything was tolerated. But the rest of the country wasn't like that at all and clung to the old traditional Thai values. My colleagues in the Thai military were appaled at the behaivor of the American GIs and the girls who serviced them. But given the state of the Thai economy in the 1970's and the amount of money being spent by the GIs they turned a blind eye and figured it was better to cash in than complain. The resistance to this kind of behaivor was one of the reasons the American military was kicked out in 1975 and we have no permanent bases in Thailand today.
Thailand today is a much more open free-wheeling society than in the 1970's. But what do I know? I don't live in CM anymore or write books on motorcycle touring.
I've only been coming to Thailand since the Viet Nam war so I really don't know much about the country and obviously that doesn't qualify me as an old timer.
RA, I haven't questioned your knowledge of Thailand. I just suggested that if you wanted to hear more about the old train girls that you could ask some long-time CM residents -- they will know.
The problem here may be a difference in perspective. You've been "coming" here since the VN war. I've been living here since about then, working with Thais and operating most of the time in a Thai context. Yes, Thailand on the surface is of course much wilder than it was then, especially as seen by farang. But -- note that I said "in many ways", not all -- there was an easy-going quality to paid sex that's been largely lost. Girls routinely being offered when you checked into upcountry hotels, girls offered in restaurants, even cops openly coming around with girls, etc.
Again, I'm talking about from basically a middle-class Thai perspective. I have no idea what it was like near the bases or in most farang bars, because I was living among Thais and thiao-ing with Thai guys. The scene today is infinitely bigger and brasher and more commercial, and society in general is much more permissive, but it's lost some of the ease and casualness that made it so nice then. The fact that people find it hard to believe that the train thing could have ever happened suggests just how much things have changed.
Daddy San,
You can go to August Salon on Sukhumvit just before Soi 7, I think? The girls are great and so is the haircuts. Everytime I go there after the haircut or foot massage the girl always ask me where I go?
LBM
I have gotten some of the best haircuts of my life here. The owner is very nice as well as the girls. I have been out to dinner with some of them many times, but have never been offered anything other than a haicut. So, get a good hair cut there and chase pussy elsewhere. I think that they may be making conversation in asking you where you go, but maybe not, maybe I am just not "hadsom man" like you.
Lord Farquard,
If the owner is the same one, she is a real stunner in my book. Like I said I haven't partake in any of the girls at August salon too much work for me but when I'm getting my haircut I have a hard time sitting still because my eyes are constantly scanning to check out their ass and legs.
I don't know about handsome man because my buddy is really one ugly MF, but for some reason the girls dig him until they figure out that he's a big asshole. Maybe it being a American and Asian at the same time. When he takes them out he lets them pick where they want to eat and what they want to eat and does the Karaoke number and gets them feeling loose and happy with Samsome wiskey. I have seen him with real quiet women that say they don't drink and by the end of the night they are dirty dancing with him and he's grabbing them all over. Now whether he is bragging or not I'm not sure but from what I have seen it seems hard to believe he's going back to his Condo alone.

Now that we know nearly everything on the abouts and tactics to conquer the heart of the "old train girls", does anyone know if these lovely cuties grew up, got kids and their elder daughters of at least 20 yo are working on train as well?
Just for the sake of the records, so we can pick a motobike and then write all about it:)
Hi All,
My husband and I are travelling to Thailand early next year and we joined this site which was highly recommended because its current and full of good local knowledge. We will be there for approx. 14 days and want to split the trip in two, visiting and spending time at Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy and Patpong area's then spending most of the trip in Pattaya.
What I would like to have is a few fellow travellers to correspond with who know those areas well and have recent knowledge. I am very specific on what I want to do, see, feel, taste and enjoy while I am there and I am hoping this site will give me knowledge enabling us to enjoy ourselves daily and not waste time 'looking' only to find what we want on the second last night.
I welcome private messages from other couples who have been and can relate to that style of visit.
So I welcome anyone to private message us, specifically guys who travel regularly to those areas and hopefully get to know a few of you on this site.
Cheers,
Ms.D.
I always thought this girls was cute-------------too bad she is 16 :(
Are you for real? the girl is 16 and you plaster a face picture of her in an Adult forum? what do they put in your water?
Can a mod please remove this pic?

Hi,
First of all, as a regular member you can't use the Private message function.
Also, what exactly are you looking for? just advices and pointers or a full on baby sitter to take you around and show you the places?

I thought paid members could PM folks even if they are just regular members... If you pay up it doesn't make you a senior member does it? But as long as they paid the membership fee then they can use PM services.
Or so I thought.
EDIT: Confirmed... they can PM as paid members... even if regular members / new members... so obviously they have joined up and paid the fee.
