I am just a junior member a week into this forum and this is only my second post, but I feel this is important. And I believe having appropriate info is a must. I mean no point spending sleepless nights in worry for no good reason just because of ignorance, and at the same time appropriate prevention and action is necessary at the time of need. I remember my first time mongering 7 years ago. I was based in Chennai then and on a visit to Pune, it so happened that I got a chance to monger. It was all good fun at the time as Jhonny ruled my senses, and in spite of using protection I later got scared like hell. After all it was my first time with a Pro. Who knows if something might have happened. So first I researched all I could about HIV and AIDS, and then anxiously waited for the window period to be over. However I just could not wait the whole 3 months, the anxiety was killing me. And 1 week before the 3 month period I walked into the Kilpauk Govt Hospital to get tested.

The doctor was very polite and heard all that I had to say without being judgmental about being with a sex worker. He pulled my report and then told me, nothing to worry about. It seems he was impressed that a well to do guy had come to a govt hospital instead of a pvt one.
