that is one thing I read they are considering. They are thinking of setting up red light districts but I wouldnt hold my breath. The politcal climate could change in 2 years and the gov't will be hesitant to seem soft on the sex industry (there will be a flood of cheap girls from China wanting to come over, illegal immigrant hell...)

RLD is kinda pushing the envelop for having vice operating cheaply and openly in such a developed and high tech and profile place.

It's not that necessary. Something like HK or Macau where it's tolerated, open at most international venues such as Saunas and major hotels, and given a place for locals, tourists, and businessmen to "play" yet not in the face of private citizens is all that's needed. Right now, it's knowingly available in KTVs where most of the revenue goes to crime and "protection" of the law. If it's tolerated, KTV costs would not be as high as crime lords still get the money, but perhaps the "protection money" is much lower, enabling KTVs to survive.

Was hanging out with my local buddy last weekend and after complaining to him how shining star sucked, he decided to take me to a KTV on Lin Sen North Road that goes by the name "Mei Li Dian, " a direct translation would be something like "a beautiful palace."

So it was already 1 AM when the three of us decided to go. My friend called his friend who's in the business and was told that it's a busy night and do expect a 2-3 hour wait. So we waited until 3ish.

After we got there we waited for like another 20 mins. Several girls came in. And we picked our girls. Overall I would say the girls were decent. Avg face 7.5/10 and avg body 8/10. The girl I picked was a loquacious one but nonetheless she was sort of fun to talk to!

So yeah we drank and played games. Then they danced and got naked. Moments after we all got the HJ.

Damage was 10k for the 3 of us including everything I mentioned above. Thought it was quite cheap. I mean I already blew over 16k at shining star ALONE and got NOTHING.

So yeah. I was a happy man that night!

Very good point. It's just funny to see Taiwan tolerates bribery, gangsters, crooks as part of everyday life, but when it comes to sex industry they have a holier than thou attitude. Give me a break.

I think the New Taipei City (when formed) should take the lead and build a red light district in San Chong, LOL

Gents, here is a new report for yall, few friends and I were in Nanjing East Rd for dinner, anyhow after we got out, one of the guy suggest we check out Kai Der Li (sorry no english name and I have no idea if this place is legit or not but didn't want to ask my friends b/c I have no idea if they are into mongering) but the establishment is few mins. away from Nanjing and Linsen on Nanjing. Anyhow, got in and quickly brought to upstair and selected massage. We got split up and went into our own room, the room a bit small however it was nice furnished. First 4 girls came in, maybe 5/10 at most in look and body ok nothing worth mentioning. The manager was pretty cool and patient, finally he sent in a decent one and I didn't feel like to wait any longer. So I ok'd, and she went out to get her tools. After few mins of wait she finally came back in with a white t-shirt and a short shorts. Anyhow I changed to towel only and she started massage with warm oil. B/C I'm not sure if the place do any additional service, so I started to conversing with her and try to get her to initate other services if she does. I told her I just moved back from the state and looking for some good time so she can be at ease knowing most likely I'm no LE. After chatting for while, found out she is from Tainan and just got to Taipei about 2 months ago. Against her parent she moved out here for her bf and her bf dumped her as soon as she arrived. Reasonably priced for a KTV, girls are young and and very pleasant on the eye.
You get to select your girl from those available at the time, I got to see 5 before I selected.

I visited on a Friday night so the place was very busy, had to wait around 30mins for a room.

You get a clean confy room, drinks and the usual KTV fruit & entertainment.
The girl does an exotic dance for you then strips off to only her panties & stays this way for the 2hrs.

Total price was 5k. This covered the room, drinks for 2 hours, tips and whatever my referrer (I don't speak Chinese) pocketed.

I guess it's a little cheaper for those that go without a guide.

Not the cheapest HJ in town, but for a KTV I thought it was pretty good value.

All Taiwanese massage places (not sauna) you need to press your charm/luck to get extra service. Sometimes you need to do multiple visits to the same girl. Anyway, too long for my taste.

Hard to find cheap in Taipei unless you try SC but if you are not a local you should stay away. Especially if you are Caucasian or dont read or speak Chinese. Still with Ceasars and other saunas in town already well covered in this forum is my advice.

Trying to go hunting on your own in a foreign country and with the pressure of having to get back before the SO finds out makes this exponentially more difficult.

I ventured out tonight for a new place as Jing Tian Di has changed its system. There is no more 'showtime' and handjob for 5k. The girls won't even undress, very sad. Based on the previous report in this forum I walked down Jinzhou street past venice to Emporor and was refused entry. So I walked down the street to 383 LinSen BeiLu. Went up to the 11th floor and was told they have takeout. They want 11k! I know from another mamasan that there is a lao wai (foreigner) surcharge. Ridiculous price given the quality. So I called the manager back from JingTianDi and she introduced me to a new manager at a place called two characters, the first is Jun and the second is something like "Luo". Same 5000NT, 2 hour system. I learned liar's dice, but the learning process got me drunk as the girl was obviously a veteran. And in this place I had to buy a bottle of Johnny Walker for 1k. Other places will give you as included, but here the only free drink was budweiser, blech. I was very close just to going to leaving, but stuck with it.
