For the OP that is taking doxycycline for dick pain / burning. Well, if you have chlamydia, take the drug on an empty stomach, did you get cultured for gonorrhea and get a shot of ceftriaxone in the butt also?
Yes, I did get tested for gonorrhea (not found), and I did get the ceftriaxone in the butt also. But my urologist yesterday said that it is definitely not gonorrhea. He also added that gonorrhea is easily curable.
I don't have Chlamydia as I took the 1 g of azithromycin at the same time as the butt injection.
I am only taking doxycycline pills as it was previously prescribed by another doctor after my butt injection appeared not to work.
The urologist is still waiting for the result of my uriine test (one week wait). I think he won't prescribe anything until he knows which bacterial strain I have. These doxycycline pills don't appear to be having any effect as there is no change in symptoms after 3 days of usage.
Thanks for your interesting post.

There are over 50 strains of hpv that are sexually transmitted, vaccine lowers the risk of hpv16 and hpv18 that may cause cervical cancer and penile cancer and hpv 6 and hpv11 that often cause warts. But it only lowers the risk and doesn't protect you against every strain of hpv. HPV vaccine is recommended for teens that have never been exposed to HPV. Most people with good immune system can keep hpv from causing warts or leading to cancer, hpv goes away within one year.
Hepb vaccine lowers the risk of Hep B, it's rarely transmitted by sexual contact but more ofter by blood contact. Hep B may lead to liver disease or cancer. Good immune system can clear accute heptitis before it developes into chronic hepatitis.
Syphilis is 100% curable when treated early (primary, secondary and early latent syphilis). There is no resistant strain. Syphilis is often not noticeable in gay men and women when the painless ulcer is in their vagina or anus and secondary syphilis can mimic many other medical diseases but syphilis is very symptomatic. Syphilis is only contagious when chancres or secondary syphilis rash are present. Latent and tertiary syphilis are not contagious. Most untreated people with syphilis don't develop tertiary syphilis. Late latent syphilis cause negative results in RPR and VDRL tests, that's why if you notice a painless ulcer or rash all over your body, you must see a dermatology / venereology that's specialist in skin conditions and infectious diseases. Because the diagnose is 100 per cent accurate when performed in primary and secondary syphilis and 100% curable. Untreated syphilis may naturally resolve, may be latent for life or may progress to tertiary syphilis.
Syphilis is curable with only a single intramuscular injection of long acting penicillin that will cure a person with primary, secondary and early latent syphilis. Doxycycline is another option to cure primary, secondary and early latent syphilis. This option is offered to people that are allergic to pencillin, you have to take it orally twice a day for 14 days. If you don't want to play the russian roulette, go and see a venereologist and get cured, stay away from general practicioners, nurses or sexual centers that test blood that are often performed by people that are not specialist in infectious diseases because false negative and false positive often happens without knowing the real symptoms and the cause of the disease that may alter many antibody tests.
Gonorrhea and chlamydia are easily cured if well treated by someone who is used to this condition (venereologist or urologist).
The strains are resistant today not because the strains become smarter but because many people take unecessary antibiotics or medication is not well prescibed by unskilled medical professionals.
Stay away from Google, Youtube, wikipedia or WHO website or online appointments, go see a good specialist in person. A specialist will laugh if you say you are scared of and caught std because he knows it's not as dangerous as people think and it's 100 per cent curable and know most people coming to their office, thinking they have std because they have warts, discharge or some pimples. Penile skin condition or discharge that are often caused by other things that have nothing to do with std.
Any update? Your symptoms are getting better? Please stop taking doxycycline pills (if you don't see any improvement) until you get your result. Because not every urinary tract infection is cured by doxycycline. Tell me what kind of bacteria you picked when you get your result.
Any update? Your symptoms are getting better?
Yes, there appears to be an improvement in my symptoms. About 3 days after starting the doxycycline pills I noticed a reduction in the pain upon urination. From what I what I would call 95% bad to 70% bad. But it is still painful even 6 days after starting the pills.
I have now taken 12 of the 14 doxycycline pills, so I will continue them till finished. I am starting to feel generally okay, but two days after starting the pills my eyes became reddish and have remained that way. This might be a side effect of the pills.
There has also been a reduction in the clear ooze coming out of my urethral opening, which I think is just my body's reaction to fight the bacterial infection. It's still there in minor amounts all the time, but not as much as prior to starting the pills.
My test result will be available on 2 April, when I go back to the urologist at the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. I will post the result here.
I would be interested in any further comments you have and in your experience in dealing with UTI's how long it would it take to recover and be pain free. Thanks.

Conjunctivitis.
. I am starting to feel generally okay, but two days after starting the pills my eyes became reddish and have remained that way.
You'd get conjunctivitis by rubbing your eyes with your hands that had been at your genitals. That is quite common. STI link here https://www.nhsinform.scot/illnesses-and-conditions/eyes/conjunctivitis#causes-of-conjunctivitis.
I'd be quite concerned your treatment did not blast it. I'd even consider a run into Bumrumgrad Hospital. Although Pattaya is a magnet for STIs, it should be in their interest to control it, not to turn it into a cash cow. I would go all out to smash this infection if I were you.

Also bacteria can infect your prostate as well, which can take quite a long time to clear, and need antibiotics for a long time as well. My first STI was in the US when I was 24. The bacteria got into my prostate and I was on antibiotics for months to clear it. Actually turned me from a shooter into a dribbler. Never been quite the same since.

UTI Recovery
I would be interested in any further comments you have and in your experience in dealing with UTI's how long it would it take to recover and be pain free. Thanks.
Hi Franga,
In India, UTI culture test report usually doesn't take more than 5 days after providing the sample in a sterile container. Even before I have started pursuing this hobby, I've suffered from recurring UTI few years back due to drug resistant bacteria. I was treated with "Magnix Forte" IV injections twice a day, for 5 days. I was admitted into hospital for 5 days.
Since Doc found that my UTI infection gone up-to prostate, During discharge, I was prescribed with "Alfuzosin 10 mg" and "Levofloxacin 250 mg" tablets for 3 months 1 hour before going to bed. After discharge and once I resumed daily routine, I didn't even masturbate for 3 months in the fear of any recurring UTI.
To answer your question, once UTI culture test identifies the antibiotic resistant and sensitive information and the grown bacterium, Doctor prescribes a Oral or IV antibiotic course ranging from 3-7 days. After completing the Antibiotic medication course, you should be doing fine.
Though I didn't find any logic or scientific evidence, after research from Internet, I have started including "Cranberries"(not juice) in my diet since then in small quantities, it is helpful so-far. Also, I've started drinking adequate quantities of water to hydrate my body and flush out any bacteria.
Addendum:
i.) After completing my 3 months antibiotic course, I was diagnosed with a Mild Anemic Condition due to low hemoglobin, for which I took supplements. You might also want to check your general blood parameters after completing the treatment.
ii.) Since most of the times drug resistant bacteria has an effect on Prostate also, you might want to bring up this point with your doctor during your consultation on 2nd April 2019.
iii.) Please note that I'm not a medical professional, in the spirit of "An Old Patient Is Better Than A New Doctor" and with an intent to help, I'm writing this note, so please consume my report with a pinch of salt.
Regards,
MSL.

In the meantime, stay hydrated (drink a lot of water and practise good hygiene until you get your result) What I don't understand is why you keep taking antibiotics prescribed by the previous doctor. I think your antibiotics don't improve anything. It's better for you to wait for the result and have the right antibiotics. What you are doing now is dangerious because you are taking medication without knowing what you really have. We know it's UTI but we don't know what kind of bacteria, how progressive it is. In Brazil, the test lasts 2-3 working days. Do you have the number of your doctor? It's also possible for him to have the result ASAP when he calls the lab. When you have sides effects especially the one affecting your eyes, it's important to let your doctor know ASAP. But you can't let him know because he is not the doctor that prescribed the medication. UTI also improve overtime without antibiotics so your antibiotics have nothing to do maybe.

UTI also improve overtime without antibiotics so your antibiotics have nothing to do maybe.
Yes, the antibiotics prescribed by the previous doctor were supposedly for a gonoccocal infection. Which the urologist said I definitely did not have. So it is strange that the urologist actually agreed for me to continue using the doxycyline.
I would probably agree with you that the doxycycline are not really improving anything. I would have expected a much more rapid response to curing the infection than I am getting, given that it is currently 6 days since I started taking the antibiotics.
I may see about re-visiting the hospital tomorrow, 31st March, especially now that I have these red eyes, which makes me look like I have a virus. The fact that the hospital makes me wait one week to get the uriine test result is just ridiculous. Like you say it should only be 2 to 3 days like in Brazil.
Thanks for your advice.

To MySecretLife,
Many thanks for all that information in your post. It certainly sounds like you had a very difficult time getting rid of that infection. At least it appears that there are some drugs available to help cure my infection. I have also started drinking some sort of Cranberry juice mix as well. Really appreciate it. Franga.

Certainly a spreading of the infection from the urethra to the prostate is a scary thought. I did ask the urologist about the likelihood of the infection spreading and he appeared to indicate that it was minimal I think.

Sharing
Not sure, if my 1st report got uploaded or not, hence doing it again.
MongerforSex,
Info shared by you is excellent. I would like to share here my own experience for the benefit of all the members. I am 49 years old and an Indian. In the last week of September 2017, I had some red spots on Penis, went to my skin specialist and he diagnosed HSV. After 2 days, it became worse and I was writhing in pain, even foreskin withdrawal used to scare the shit out of me. Gave me a course of antibiotics. After a month, I got relief from it but my spots on head and foreskin were not going away although I was not in pain. I went in for 2nd opinion to some Head of the deptt. Of hospital of Skin and VD. He started treating me for Candida and I was put on Sporonox- anti fungal tablets- 2 tabs a day for 1 month. My spots on head and foreskin didn't go. I was advised to go in for a biopsy. The sample was taken from the foreskin, and the result was not conclusive of anything and I was made to go merry go around to a lot of docs and various hospitals. Some docs mis-read the biopsy and even diagnosed it to be the dreaded word see. Me and my family were completely broken up and shaken. Cannot even describe the number of tours to hospitals and the top specialists that I consulted but the best ones were pretty sure that I need to wait and not rush even if it is see. Some had even recommended Circumcision but the best ones said they are not convinced. Went in for a 2nd Biopsy and the sample was taken from the head. They diagnosed it as HPV and told me that it was Warts which had to treated with application of Imiquimod cream. Started the course which lasted around 6 weeks and anyone who has gone through it must be knowing that it is literally a torture for the patient with pain, burning, blood oozing out from the area and what not. Finally, my warts began to diminish and one fine day they were gone. I was under the watchful eyes of my docs and getting myself checked up every fortnight. After the application of Imiquimod cream, I have scars on my penis head like we have after any injury that heals but those cuts and scars remain for the rest of yr life. They put me on some medicines to improve my immunity system. Let me also inform here that relations with my wife have soured after this episode and we are mere housemates with both of us sleeping in different rooms. I also wish to inform that I was a patient of Prostitis too and was administered 14 injections of Ertapenem thru IV. But that's a different story altogether.
Now, after getting a clearance from my docs that I could restart my sexual activity, I was mentally not in the right frame of mind and was fearful of it. I had undergone a lot of pain- physically and mentally, relations with my wife are no more, business had suffered as was not taking interest in it. Was relying on masturbation to relieve myself. But, a monger is always a monger. Had my 1st encounter in Ending of Dec. , 18 and was extra cautious in choosing the lady too. Started with the pricey ones with special relevance to hygiene and that they were charging more and hence less customers. But that's all bull shit. I am again diagnosed with fungal infection. Just finished a 21 day course of Sporonox. Anti fungals- twice a day on 25th of March and am all clear. Although, my doc has cleared me but he still wants me to abstain from any activity for a month. Dunno and I argued with him. But his POV is that he wants to ensure that the scars are not something else. I told him that they were there earlier too but still, he told me that its my wish but Pl wait.
I was a very active monger before Sept, 17 in India and abroad but this last 1.5 year has completely put me on the back foot and confused and shaken up.
Sorry for the long post guys but for the benefit of everyone, had to share my experience.
Cheers.

Test result
Today Sunday, I revisited the Bangkok Hospital Pattaya to address my UTI. My original doctor was not available as he does not work Sunday or Monday. Now I know why my Uriine test result was going to take 7 days and that is because the doctor was not scheduled on day 5 or 6. Crazy.
Anyway, they actually had my test result (it was now day 5 since the test) and everything was negative. They only tested for the sexually transmitted bacterias though, and not any non-sexually transmitted bacterias.
This is what they tested for:
Trichomonas vaginalis.
Mycoplasma hominis.
Mycoplasma genitalium.
Chlamydia trachomatis.
Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
Ureaplasma urealyticum.
Ureaplasma parvum.
All "not detected".
So, either I never had any of the sexually transmitted bacterias, or I was too late in having the uriine test having done the test 2 days after starting the doxycycline antibiotics and 5 days after having a Ceftriaxone injection plus azithromycin pills.
This new doctor said that the doxycycline pills were working as I had a lessening of the symptoms (passing fluid is now only a small sting instead of a very severe burning sensation).
He did not know why my eyes were red (they had been reddish continually for 5 days), and suggested I see an eye doctor about this!
He did not prescribe any further treatment except to maybe take some Ibuprofen pills for the next 3 days or so.
When I asked him how long it would take for the UTI to go away he said 2 to 3 weeks. As I have just finished one week since starting the doxycycline pills this makes sense. I had a very severe urethral infection and it takes time for this to heal.
So, I will monitor the progress. Hopefully there will be no complications.
I suppose my takeaway from all this is that I am going to protect my urethral opening much more rigorously. No more BBBJ, or other sharing of fluids like kissing. Until you experience a week of burning pain in your penis, you will swear away from all unsafe sex practises. It has been the worse week of my life so far with some very dark days.
Thanks to all board members for your very useful suggestions.

To Franga
You have to understand many people with UTI never experienced BBBJ. Your problem did not come from STD but come from another bacterial infection. You have bad experience because you visited unexperienced general practicioners and checked out google. (The big mistakes that most people do when they see something not normal concerning their male organs).
Next time, go see a specialist first, you don't have to see an eye specialist, it's a side effect caused by the antibiotics you took, that may also be the side affect caused by injection you took. My advise is to wait for the urologist you saw. The symptoms dissapear very fast when you use the right antibiotics. The antibiotics has nothing to do with your well being because UTI can also clear without antibiotics after few weeks. Antibiotics are used for emergency when you suffer so that the symptoms dissapear very fast, even when the symptoms dissapear very fast, you have keep using antibiotics to sure all bacterias are killed but if the symptoms don't dissapear very fast, that means your antibiotics are not effective.
Antibiotics are the cause of your red eyes and the problem will go away. Your problem is not serious. Please do like I said, drink a lot water and even if it burns. It helps clear bacterias that way until you see your urologist.
I had patients diagnosed with syphilis, gonorrhea and other medical conditions who got red eyes, rash etc after recieving injection in their buttock. Doxycycline also causs soreness and redness in your eyes.
I am sure you did not have gonorrhea because it cures very easily. your previous doctor was not able to detect gonorrhea but what I know you had a bacterial disease that was not easy to detect because of the unecessary antibiotics you took from unexperienced medical professionals.
Keep enjoying
