Pattaya is a beach resort, where virtually everybody is on a holiday. (Or lucky enough to live there.) This creates a laid back ambiance that I find soothing. I can sit by the shore and contemplate life, with abundant food and beverage close at hand. I can duck into a tiny bar and have a drink at noon while watching sports on the television. I can join my mates for a meal or watch the human condition on full display on Walking Street every night. The place just lowers my blood pressure.
Bangkok is a big city that is a center commerce and government. The urban vibe is intense, but it's a great place to shop, to sightsee and to soak up some culture in a place where the punter scene is a tiny island in the overall metropolitan area.
My preferred itinerary involves landing at BKK and heading straight for Pattaya, for about 80 percent of my stay. If I arrange my flights with care, I can clear immigration in the morning and be settled in my lodging a few hours later, which gives me time for a combat nap before going out on the town that evening. I'm fighting a 12-hour time difference and this helps me minimize jet lag.
Eventually Pattaya starts to feel a little small, which is the perfect time to head back to Bangkok for the last 20 percent of my trip. The girls are different and the scene is different and that prevents boredom from setting in. I'm am also much closer to the airport than I would be in Pattaya. I'm not wild about starting a 24-hour airline trip with a long cab ride up from Pattaya.
Of course, as they say on the Interwebs, your mileage may vary. Maybe you are a foodie who is dying to sample Bangkok's amazing cuisine and not so interested in the one hundred different versions of English breakfast on offer in Pattaya. Perhaps you're a clothes horse and you need to make multiple trips to your tailor to ensure everything fits just so. Or it could be you've looking to get some world class medical treatment at rock bottom prices. In which case ignore my advice and spend most of your time in Bangkok.

If you take a dark skinned girl out you will get dirty looks but they perform sexually 1000 times better. They are up for everything and would take a dick for 20 hours straight.

The hot girls will still get barfined so they will still rake in the coin. I would pay 900 barfine on the times I do choose to barfine. Come on $9 isn't going to stop Mr Nishikawa from barfining a hot girl.

Last night perfect example at Rainbow 4. I went in at 10 very full. Lineup ok. I guess. Closer to 11 many seats available and the usual donkeys on stage.
I really should check out Bacc again to see if my experience last week was an anomaly or a normal thing. But my affection for Rainbow runs deep. Don't care how many head turners Baccara have their ambiance just sucks!
