I am with you on this one Hippie. Many girls in Mango told me that they do not like Koreans and cannot talk to Filipinos due to so many raids they are really guarded in case they are undercover cops.
The girls love white guys as in their mind they are rich and a possible way out.

Thanks for your advice and welcoming me. As for d etat comments, I dated a Filipino girl I met from my friend at his work party. She had big breasts and a fat ass very long black hair. Not obese by any means. I do not think it is rare as you make it sound to find one with at least a some what round ass in the phillipines. However, I can most likely be wrong because I do not know much about that country. Most of the pictures I see on this site of phillipino ladys are frontal shots.

Well respected at one time, then he went to Europe as he told me and made a mistake in getting addicted to drugs in Milan. One gal was a past model for FMH mag in the Philippines. I can not remember her alias name, but she was half Filipino and half dutch. 2 others worked as Attorneys in Cebu, the best one was from a wealthy family (Chinese); her father owned and operated a very large construction company in Cebu, her parents' home was simply amazing. She still lived there with her grandmother, and parents. Funny her grandmother was lecturing her when I visited. And she told me that she told grandma not to worry, she already slept with me. Hahaha. She loved to travel, she had been to Amsterdam several times, and I have been there also. We exchanged stories. And decided to travel there together 4 months later and then on to the Canary Islands to see the nude beaches. I was so surprised that after I made the bookings for our travel, that she saw that things were legit and I booked first class. That she offered to pay for all of my expenses, instead of me paying hers. Had a great 3 weeks there. One other was a doctor, 2 days later I was at this tuli gathering being her assistant. Holding clamps. Scissors. Scalpel for the circumcision being sponsored by a drug company for poor families. Hahaha. Of the others, one was a secretary, and the other was a salesperson in a clothing store.
I was in Cebu for 2 weeks with this group. I know that I was the subject of comparision and competition as Chaz (the gay guy) told me. I still stay in contact with all six. 4 are now married except the FMH model and the Chinese gal. I still travel with the Chinese gal for free. Been to China, Phuket, KL, Bali with her so far. Nothing serious other than being fuck buddies.
I have been there last weekend a couple of times. I really like the place.
It is not big. It is homely, interesting decor, no dancing girls, no stage. There are big bar stool type seats with big cushions, very nice to laze in. There are probably 20 to 30 girls, hard to keep count. Few real drop dead gorgeous, but a decent range of sizes and shapes. My first was a little skinny one who climbed onto the back of my seat, sat in there behind me, started to give me a nice massage, good company. Barfine was 1500 LT, til 6 am. She had to go home. LD are 150, beers can't remember, but not expensive. You are not hussled by the mamasan to take a girl. The girls do not hussle for drinks or barfine. Music is a bit subdued, so you can have a conversation. I don't know about food.
There is a brightly lit sign over the place, but not big. I had no trouble to find it.
I like the place, easy going, girls availabe, no hassles.

Just left Cebu last Wendesday to travel to Thailand but thought I would share my thoughts and experiences, more from a Cebu newby perspective than anything else.
This time around on my second ever visit I thought I would make some preperations and I spent about 4 weeks setting up contacts on DIA in readiness for my arrival. Its amazing how many young student types use this dating service and so many come from Cebu.
My first job was to buy a smart buddy sim card so that I could start calling some of my contacts. I actually found it quite expensive to use if you call rather than text and found myself using 500 pesos per day on calls.
The first girl I met was Janice who lived close to the Park Lane Hotel next to Ayalla Mall.
She was 18 years old and I arranged to meet her with her Auntie at Ayalla. The meeting went well, we had coffee in Bo's and I asked her to meet me that evening. She said she would meet me but that she would only have sex once she was married and her auntie told me to be patient as she was a virgin.
Well that is like putting a hungry ant eater on an ant hill and telling it not to eat. I did not think she was really attractive facially but she was quite cute and very slim. I told her that in my culture bf's and gf's sleep together and that if she was not interested in this then I would find another gf.
Anyway she called me later that evening and agreed to stay with me. I am sure that these girls realise that there is an over abundance of young girls in Cebu willing to grab any western man which helps them to come to their senses quickly.
The night with this girl was fairly good and it transpired that she had had sex once before with a Pinoy bf. What she lacked up for in experience, she made up for in enthusiasm and I ended up seeing her twice altogether.
The one mistake I made was not being selective about who I gave my number out to. I found some of the girls passed my number around to friends and relatives, so that at one point I was getting scores of calls from girls I had not even met before.
I lost complete track of who I spoke to, their names etc and a couple ot times embarrassed myself having to ask the caller what is your name, have we spoken before.
I also ran into problems arranging to meet all the girls I met on line and on one particular day I had appointments to meet girls on the hour at Ayalla all through the morning and afternoon. I really needed a good PA to help sort out my diary. Quite a few of the girls I met did not live up to expectations and their photo on DIA actually made them look much better than they were in person. I felt quite bad because a few girls had travelled from Lapu Lapu and further afield to meet me and in each case where I did not want to spend more time with them, I gave them a couple of hundred pesos which was well received. More importantly it eased my own conscience.
Incidentally the girl called Janice who stayed with me was given 1000 pesos. I was not sure how much to give her and I did not want to be over generous, just fair. She seemed delighted with this and it made me feel quite humble later that day when her auntie sent me a text to say how kind and generous I was. For me 1000 pesos is an insignificant paltry amount, but her auntie was overjoyed because she said to me that Janice had bought milk for her baby, something they had not been able to afford before.
It is quite saddening to see such poverty at first hand.
I was in Mango Square the other night and bumped into a guy I had met on my first visit an ex pat living in Cebu. We had met by chance in a coffee shop one evening and he gave me a guided tour of Jonquera one night on my first visit to Cebu at 1am in the morning. He had looked after me really well so I was quite happy to bump into him once again.
My friend suggested trying a newly opened bar owned by his friend so we got in a taxi to try and find it. He only had a rough idea of where to go as he had not visited the establishment before.
I kind of remembered him being overbearing and rude to the taxi drivers we used on my first visit but this time he was really on form.
I have never met anyone in my entire life who was so rude, overbearing and arrogant towards a taxi driver as this man was and I sat in the back feeling extremely embarrassed. We spent at least 30 -40 minutes driving around in this cab and the abuse, put downs and nastiness continued.
We eventually pulled up outside a bar (the wrong one) and he disappeared inside to check it out. Whilst he was inside I actually apologised to the driver for the man's behaviour.
I won't name this guy but I am sure many expats will already know him, he is extremely tall probably about 6'6 and though he earns 20,000 bucks per month in the Phillipines (thats what he told me) he dresses like a tramp.
Anyway we eventually pull up at the right place and I decide to pay the taxi, it came to just under 200 pesos. I tipped the driver 50 pesos, a lot I know but I felt it was recompense for what he had endured from this guy. Anyway my "friend" shouted "don't #%#@ tip him" and demanded the tip back from the driver.
As we got out of the cab I tried to discreetly pass back the 50 pesos to the driver but unfortunately it did not go unoticed. He opened the back of the cab and again demanded the tip back and though I tried to intervene it was of no avail. My friend then turned on me and suggested I go elsewhere if I was going to [url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140][CodeWord140][/url] on his terroritory and with that I caught a cab alone, back to Mango Square.
During my visit to Cebu this time, I had heard of an American being murdered for allegedly being rude to some Pinoy. I think this guy I have talked about uses his size to intimidate, but with that kind of behaviour I guess it will not be long before he ends up being another statistic.
Despite his kindness on my first visit to Cebu, I will have no sympathy if it happens to him and quite frankly I feel unsafe with someone who is so utterly rude on foreign soil.
Just wanted to add this observation, sorry it does not relate to our core activity of mongering

Mortman....I feel you...I had a very similar experience in Cebu, I met a retired expat.. he is around 6 feet, as you did not mention his age...he was in his 70's...not sure if he is the same guy..
I met him online for some business related work in India.
I found him helpful in getting to know about local culture and people.
All went good..untill we went to a bar in Mango square..he was good there till he liked a girl and wanted to take her out...Mamasan said the rate is 1500 pesos..instead of negotiating the price...he just leaped over to her...grabbed her and abused her left and right..i dont know which language he used..it was i think a mixture of english & bisaya ....but he abused her as if there is no tommarow..we just had couple of beers and he asked for the bill, when the bill came....i did not take the change as i thought i will put it as a tip...he didn't realize that i had tipped....so in a flash...he went back and after screaming..got the change back.
I still didnt know why he got so pissed...after that day...i went again to the same bar and asked the mamasan what went wroung..even she did not know the reason..apparently they are all used to old expat creating a scene....
I had thought it as an one off experience..but after reading your post...i guess there are more old and rude expats around :)
Another theory, the expats have there is not to tip anyone and pay below the price for a BG....cos tourist spoil their market...
As you said i would be hardly surprised if expats gets knocked off now and then for their behavior...no men or women can tolerate it...and Filipinos are one of the most tolerant & behaved people around..so if they get agitated.....there is no excuse for what the expats get

Your experience with the rude expat is something we've all seen. At the risk of being flamed to death, expats can be curious folks. Although most are just legitimate folks who find themselves, by choice or chance, in another country, there are some who are basically dropouts, who couldn't cut it in their own society, and would be out of place, anywhere. But I wouldn't brush that too widely, as I've met more great ones than psychos.
And your experience with the dating sites is not unusual. Be selective, be suspicious... If her pics look too good to be true, then they probably are. Do the pics look extremely professionally made? She probably pulled them off the net. I never even bother contacting a girl unless she has at least a couple of pics that are obviously of the same person and of sufficiently amateurish quality to be believeable. But then, I'm naturally a cynic!

Yes this guy was about late 40's or early 50's but very very tall at least 6'6 but maybe as tall as 6'8. He was American and I only knew him by his first name of Michael. Anyway I am planning to go back to Cebu in a few months but will give this guy a very wide berth. Incidentally I just want to add that I have met many ex pats in Cebu most of who have been helpful friendly and polite, this guy was the exception.
okay. this was not cebu but i bump into this guy in an internet cafe. seems nice enough. i bump into him at a mall at 10 am a few days later. he has a bag with 3 beers in it. and he's driking one. it's 10 am (sorry i'm not a breakfast beer guy). he went off on how he knew the chief of police and he could just walk aroudn drinking no matter where he was. i'm like. "okay. that is good for you". the guy is clearly drunk at 10 am.
so i have an hour to kill waiting for a client so this guy joins me at a kenny rogers.- a fast good place. he goes on an on about how he likes have sex with 15 and 16 year old girls. in a loud voice (really loud) he goes on and on about how he likes **** girls. we are the only whites and the people around us were families and working professiona having an early lunch. i mean these people are looking at us and thinking we are of the same mindset. i'm wondering "god, how did i get in this situation? "
i made some excuse and got out of there. and i'll stick to the 18+ crowd. my skin still crawls. i have bumped into this guy a couple more times but i say hi and invest some excuse to get as far away from his as possible.
