Anyone know of the price and availability of Russian/CIS in Pattaya at the moment and if they're discounting like TG's are.
Apologies in advance to those of the 'when in Rome' school but since I'm unlikely to set foot in their godforesaken countries a change in diet would be good.
Ah, at the moment are alot CIS and Russians in Pattaya. It's maybe their summer holiday time. Same apeals to Israelians and French.
The CIS girls stroll along the walking street and can be also found at beach road. Though they are not very pretty, inho.
Russian girls, even quite pretty ones can be find for example in the after hour discos. Specially at MixX. I am not sure if they go for money and how much, or if they are looking for some holiday adventure.
Just noticed that alot of Indian and Arabs try like crazy to get in contact with them. It's somehow funny, in case more embarrassing than funny to see how thay make fools out of themselfs to get with meat.
So, if you are charming and resonable looking you could have some luck with the Russian chicks. Just try and don't make a fool out of you.;-)
Anyway, I have to say that the after hour scene is poor at the moment. The reason is that it starts now too late, or on the wrong places. Last November I could went to Marine Disco at 1 am and there were already alot of people and quite many girls.
Now Marine is death, since Insomnia is on walking street.
Insomnia is not bad, also the prices are quite good (SM light about 115 Baht) but it starts late. Best at 3 am, but very quickly to crowded, since the space is limited and the service staff is very pushy and annoying.
MixX has awful music, starts late also 2-3 am and is full of Arabs and Indians whose habbits are not always compatible with western good behaviour. Also, drinks are quite expensive (SM light 180 Baht).
Walking Street Pub (with the red car) starts earlier 12 -2 am but very narrow and not easy to overview.
Lucifer starts earlier but I never liked that place. I am not a fan from the kind of music they play and it's too dark and difficult to overview.
Marine was just right, started early with good music and open and therefore easy to spot nice looking girls. Just it was expensive (SM light 180 Baht). Now Marine is death and no replacement imho.
There are several reasons for the increase over the last few years: 1) fewer young women as Thailand's birthrate has declined and the population rapidly ages, 2) shutting down of many international sex tourism destinations - for example Cambodia, 3) the crackdowns on the beach over the last few years, and 4) Thailand's booming economy. Only the last factor has been counteracted by the depression.
Pattaya has certainly been cracking down on the trade in the last few years. and Yes, there are far less young girls.
I think the main reason for the increase in price and the stuck up attitude of the women, is simply that guys are willing to spend more to get laid. There is a new crowd of tourists/mongers coming to Pattaya and they have cash to burn!

I agree. Marine used to be a hot spot, now it sucks .Tony's was hot and would allow girls younger than 20 in. Now the vibe in tonys is very arab.

iNTERSTING SURVEY
World's largest expat survey reveals crunch hits expats hard
US, Thailand and South Africa are most affected expat locations
BANGKOK: -- The US, Thailand and South Africa are most affected expat locations. Almost half of expats in UK are considering returning home. Emerging markets rank above established centres for expat finances, while UK is the worst for saving behind Spain and France. Despite economic crisis, expats are wealthier and save more than in country of origin.
HSBC Bank International today revealed that the current economic crisis has had a significant impact on expats' financial situation, according to the world's largest survey of expats, Expat Explorer.
The first of three instalments of this year's survey, Expat Economics, showed that expats have reduced spending across the board, with the UK and the US identified as having some of the highest numbers of expats considering a move home.
Expat Explorer, now in its second year, surveyed over 3,100 expats from more than 50 countries and is the largest survey of its kind, with 46% more respondents than last year. Expat Economics is the first of three reports on the results and is a new addition to this year's survey which looks at an expats' economic quality of life. This is determined by four main economic factors:
-Annual income in excess of US$200,000.
- A monthly disposable income in excess of US$3,000.
- An increase in saving while living/working abroad (in their current country of residence).
- Having at least two luxury items in the country they live in.
Paul Say, Head of Marketing and Communications for HSBC Bank International, said that this year's survey revealed interesting insights into a dynamic segment of the world's population, and also stands as a key indicator into how expats had been affected by global economic events.
"Last year's survey gave us some really valuable insights into such a fascinating group of people and we are pleased to see even more expats participating in this year's survey" said Mr Say.
"As the world continues to undergo a significant economic shift, we are seeing some interesting patterns amongst the expat population, particularly in the changes to their spending habits. Despite expats in the UK and US considering a move home we also found that the majority of expats are staying put despite growing employment uncertainty across many regions."
Overall, the US, Thailand and South Africa have been most affected by the credit crunch, reducing their spending on essential and luxury items, general household maintenance and the money allocated to savings and investments. The largest reduction in essential day-to-day items was seen in Spain, where almost two-thirds (81%) of expats have cut back. Almost four-fifths of expats in the US (79%) and three quarters in the UK (75%) have also scaled down their spending on essential day-to-day items.
Not surprisingly, almost half (44% - the highest recorded figure in the survey) of expats in the UK and close to a quarter (23%) of expats in the US are considering returning home in light of the current financial crisis. This provides a stark contrast when compared to the average of only 15% of expats overall who are considering the same move.
26 countries now feature in the ranking table (compared with 12 last year), with Russia (1st place) scoring highly as a result of the number of expats saving more, high annual salaries and the amount of disposable income available. Qatar (2nd place) and Saudi Arabia (3rd place) also scored highly in the areas of increased savings and disposable income, however had their scores affected by lower annual salaries. Interestingly, two-thirds of expats in Qatar (63%) said that their attitude to spending had not changed as a result of the economic crisis.
Geographically, Switzerland and the UK ranked 1st and 2nd respectively for Europe, with Qatar and Saudi Arabia leading the charge in the Middle East, Russia and Hong Kong top for the Asia-Pacific region and Mexico and the United States highest in the Americas.
Many expatriates have taken advantage of their current location to increase the amount of money allocated to savings. Expats in the Middle East are strong savers, with the UAE ranking fifth (after Saudi Arabia, Russia, Qatar and India) as a country where expats are increasing their savings. The UAE and India were also top countries to save in the 2008 Expat Explorer report.
Expats in the UK were the worst savers/investors globally, with over a quarter of expats living in the UK (27% - the highest recorded in the survey) saying that they had reduced their savings and investments when compared to their home country.
Savings accounts are the most popular way to save for expats across virtually all markets, with the exceptions of Mexico, Malaysia, Japan and South Africa.
Asia is home to the highest paid expats in the world, with one in four expats (25%) earning more than US$200,000 per year. Individually, the survey identified Russia, Japan and Qatar as home to the wealthiest expats, defined as an annual income in excess of US$200,000 and a monthly disposable income in excess of US$3,000. Over one-third (43%) of expats surveyed in Russia, 40% in Japan and 22% in Qatar answered that their annual income was over this US$200,000 mark.
Belgium and Australia are home to the least wealthy expats, with almost two-thirds (61%) of expats in Belgium and 63% of expats in Australia stating that their annual salary was US$100,000 or less. This compares to an average figure of 35% across all expats surveyed.
Almost three-quarters (74%) of expats surveyed said that they have more disposable income than they did living in their country of origin, except those living in France (47%) and the UK (47%). Almost all expats in Qatar (94%), Russia (97%) and Saudi Arabia (98%) have more disposable income than they did living in their home country. More expats in these countries also have more than US$4,000 (70%, 59%, 52% respectively) of disposable income each month compared to the survey average of 36%.
Food and accommodation has seen the largest increase in spending for expats, a continuing theme from the 2008 Expat Explorer report. Expats in the UK spend more of their income on accommodation than in anywhere else in the world, with almost two-thirds (86%) ranking it as their greatest expenditure, a continuing trend from the 2008 report.
"As with our 2008 survey, we are generally seeing that although expats are spending more in their new countries of residence, they are also saving more," said Mr. Say.
"There is no doubt that we have seen some interesting trends in terms of how expats are reacting to the credit crunch, but what is also interesting to see is that they remain to be a wealthy group of individuals. Over half of the expats surveyed are actually earning US$100,000 and over - no mean feat particularly in the current climate."
The next instalment in the Expat Explorer series, Expat Existence, will be released in August this
While they search, most will be quite willing to fuck and suck each male prospect for the going rate.
Not always strictly true, when a girl has a good sponsorship (or more than one), and many out there have, sometimes is only willing to go with you at her conditions, either she's in the mood and she likes you a little bit, or you give her a valuable sum because the value of money to her has changed and would rather spend the night with her friends and enjoy herself than get what seems now a "miserable" 1,000bath. Sponsorhip is certainly not the main reason for the increase in prices, but I'm more against than pro.
Totally agree with the scene that starts too late, the only place seems now Lucifer which starts at a decent hour, but some girls in discos now do have an attitude compared to just a couple of years ago.
Not always strictly true, when a girl has a good sponsorship (or more than one), and many out there have, sometimes is only willing to go with you at her conditions, ...
I wrote already something regarding sponsorship. I would consider sponsorship as an absolutely stupid idea. Almost all lose while one guy start to sponsor his girl.
The Sponsor lose, finacially and emotional. He think he can keep the girl for himslef by sending money. Maybe he can be sure that she will be with him on his next holiday, but meanwhile she will sex with other guys as well.
The girl will have enough money, but most Thai girls don't save the money. They usually spend it for luxury staff or just spend on parties with her friends. On the end she will be spoiled and stuck up.
Other customer who can be also the sponsor on his next holiday, who will have to deal with spoiled market prices.
Ok, the local economy will win, but in the end the higher prices will convince the monger scene to stay away and search for cheaper destinations.
Sponsors, high tipper and big spender will ruin the market and destroy the monger paradise for others and for themself.

This seems to be the talking point of some forum members without ever elaborating on it. Do you have any real evidence of this or can you tell us how it is possible for "big spenders" to ruin the market for others?
This seems to be the talking point of some forum members without ever elaborating on it. Do you have any real evidence of this or can you tell us how it is possible for "big spenders" to ruin the market for others?
It's quite simple. If a girl gets from a customer 2000 Baht for St, because he feels that that price is justified, but the going rate is 1000 Baht than the girl will try to get the next time again 2000 Baht. If there are enough guys whose pay 2000 Baht than the going rate will become 2000 Baht.
In the end all prices will raise.
-
or can you tell us how it is possible for "big spenders" to ruin the market for others?
Simple economics really.
When a guy is horny he rarely thinks with the right head. So when a chick who normally goes for 1000ST all of the sudden tries for 2000ST and gets it from a few "big spenders", she automatically thinks her value is at 2000ST. She will always shoot for this amount because she got it several times before. Her real value may be at 1000ST but in her head, she thinks she is worth more and will always try to get it. A really good example is to go out and find a girl that normally goes for japanese men. These girls will always quote outrageous prices because most japanese guys just pay what the girl asks. Their yen is strong and they can't be bothered with negotiating. I wouldn't say they've ruined the market, but instead created there own.
When you buy a liter of gasoline you use logic in your decision making. You probably wouldn't pay double for what you could get for half across the street would you? When guys buy pussy, very few use logic. It is an emotional sell, and the ones who get all emotional and too horny pay the most!
Let's face it. It is what it is.

Not so Simple
It's quite simple. This is flawed on so many levels, first there is no guarantee she is going to get 2000B from the next customer or even the next 100 customers, even if she asks for it because big spenders are the exception. Second if this were true, why aren’t the prices 5000B (or whatever high rollers pay) for ST now? Big spenders have been in spurlging in Pattaya for years so the prices should be way more than what they are now. When I go to Super baby or Super Girl a GO GO, I should be quoted the same silly prices the Japanese customers are paying because they pay higher and are "spoiling the market for the rest of us" but the price is still the same for me. If a girl demands 2000B for ST, move on to the next one that will charge your 1000B. Eventually the girl who wants 2000B will return her price to 1000B because there will never be enough high rollers to consistently sustain her.
I've been hearing this big spenders will spoil the market crap for years but the prices have basically remain at the same level they were years ago. I saw a customer paid a girl 1000B for ST on Soi 6 some time ago. Last month she was offering up herself for 700 ST because she knows that she will not command 1000B from every customer. These girls are smart enough to know that not all customers will pay outrageous prices and will adjust accordingly. There's just no evidence to support this idea that big spenders spoil the market, it’s nothing more than catchy talking points but there is no merit to it.
I've been hearing this big spenders will spoil the market crap for years but the prices have basically remain at the same level they were years ago....
Ok, I am just back from a short time and I guess I will stay in Hotel and go early sleeping (it's now 02:34 am). But, let's try again, though I am sure I will not be able to convince you, since you even call the statement of others crap and what else, instead of arguing.
Good example is tipping. In former time there were not such an habbit to tip. In some countries like England , tipping is not the norm, but in America it's usual. American tourists brought this habbit to Thailand and now tipping is here also usual.
One other example is Thermae in Bangkok. I am not sure if it's was the Japanese, Chinese, or Korean guys, but it doesn't matter. They pay 3000 Baht ST as far I have heard. Now the cute girls there are only going with for 3000 Baht and some do not even consider to go with a Farang.
Better looking girls can ask for higher prices and will get higher prices, because some high spender will pay. There are still enough girl, even cute ones who go for less, but the high spender, sponsors and co do spoil the market for the Stunners since they pay them more.
Ok, some could say it's justified, since a Mercedes also cost more than a Fiat. In the end it's true and in the end nobody will be able to change the system. But, in the end Thailand will gets to expensive and mongers will go to other countries or stay at home.
Example is Spain. In the past it was a cheap place for North and Middle European tourists. Than it got spoiled, prices raised and people changed to Turkey.
Maybe Thailand tourist industrie will compensate the raising of prices with more supply (More Hotels, more Restaurants, more Shops). At the moment through the economic situation there is more supply than demand, so the prices should fall.
@Amjeck, seems we had the same thoughts!;-)

Jomtein Report
howdy i usually post in the phil board but i do spend time in pattaya / jomtein too. i spent three months there from oct to dec 25. the night before christmas i did a midnight move and headed to angeles to be with fellow catholics to celebrate. well the real reason i was running from a psycho thai gf who had a mean streak. to this day i still have a few remaining scars from her putting her claws into my flesh.
that aside, i will be back and managed to patch up the farewell speech from the saftey of my home computer with her. in due time they just move on to another chap.
i must say the pattaya jomtein scene is a real sex carnival. on the one side there is quite a bit of competition from fellow punters but there is an abundance of ladies willing to go short time with you, and making a few extra baht no matter what their current relationship status is.
jomtein is my place. i like the local beaches especially cozy beach and the suburban feel to the place. travel to walking street is only 15 minutes away max but i rarely pick up there as i find the prices higher. i would just walk around looking for strays that catch me eyes and make a deal for short time in the 500-1000 baht range. if one is staying a few months its hard to beat the locale. if one is keeping a good looking lady there i think it would be next to impossible to think that she would not be tempted with all the falangs offering to short time her.
there are so many fine restaurants to choose from in the jomtein complex including a large expat bar. however being the thrifty type i would settle with local cuisine and beer at half the price to the foreign owned establishments on average. i found royal park apartments thailand a sweet serviced apartment. it is hidden in the royal park subdivision which makes for a much quieter stay. eddie is the owner is from england and owen runs the place. it is not the cheapest but for a middle of the road budget person like myself it is hard to beat. there is no street scene outside your door unlike many other places with resulting smells and traffic. it a two block walk to the local seven eleven on thepprasit.
i plan to be back in october- january give or take a month enjoying those three months there when the weather is very good not too hot and little rain unlike most parts of thailand and the rest of asia. its a paradise for sex there.
i do find myself hanging out with mates there more than in the phil because fewer ladies speak english and if they do the topics of conversation are limited to the bare bones. just hard to find friends that don't smoke or drink like a fish. so, i doubt i could live there unless i start hanging out at the hospitals and find a women brain surgeon or psychologist - could help in the end.
actually, i might start at the hospital next time looking for a gf because i could have wound up there last time. if you find your gf has a wicked side best to be shoving her on. i kept that one a bit too long because my little brother was too happy even in the land with many smiles in this sleepy suburb of pattaya.

The term "crap” was geared towards to the concept that big spender raise prices and affect the market. It was not personally directed towards you or anyone else. I used it because no one has ever shown any empirical evidence to support the claim you and others have made. Comparatively speaking, Pattaya and Thailand in general is still one of the most economical destinations for sex tourists the world over despite the big spenders claim which has been around for ages.
-
This is flawed on so many levels, first there is no guarantee she is going to get 2000B from the next customer or even the next 100 customers, even if she asks for it because big spenders are the exception.
Remember we're talking about a Thai women who are pretty dumb. She doesn't think like we do. So it might take dozens of rejections at 2000ST(assuming she just got the 2000ST on the previous outing) for her to finally go down in price. So, the "spoiling of prices" can be short lived. That is one of the reasons prices drop in low season.
