In regards to hotel El Virrey in Bogota, did you book a single or double room? Does it make any difference as far as inviting guests?
No. It does not make any difference. I stayed in a single room, and had no problem with short-term visits. I never had anyone stay overnight therefore don't know their rules about that, but it is highly likely that they they will not say anything.

I am thinking of travelling to Bogota and after RTFF it seems like there are quite a few great clubs. Lots of variety. However I heard that Bogota is actually way above sea level, high enough to induce some altitude sickness so travellers are usually advised to take it easy for the fist day or so and not drink alcohol and so on as the effects are increased with altitude. Is this for real? Do any of you guys who travel there ever had any problems with the altitude? I have never seen it in the forum before.
Also is it best for a first time traveller to rent an apartment of stay in a hotel. Hola Mundo had a great report but the taxi thing sounds troublesome. What is your advice. Hotel or apartment for first time to Bogota?
Regading El Virrey:
Did the chicas have to register at the desk? I like picking SGs on occassion and some of them sometimes do not carry IDs.
BtW, was it a double or single you booked?
Thanks,
CC

My issues went away after a day or so.

I'd say rent an apartment, you can micohonda una Pizza for your date and she'll be well pleased!
PM me and I'll give you the Email and website of the Company I use. A decent Hotel is like $50USD a night, a Apt is $50-$70 but you have 0% haste with bringing chicks home.
So I am living in Bogota for work purposes. I came here for multiple reasons.
What I have seen so far has been all kind of levels:
1. La Mansion. This place has some of the most perfect girls I had ever seen. Oh yes they are all made of plastic butt and breast. That night we we also went to Lalos place. Tons of stunners in there also. Price remained the same about at 300, 000 for a single shot. I saw only one worth it for that price.
2. Walked around the Transmilenio stop near Sante Fe to check out the infamous La Piscina. What I saw there was scary yes the hookers I
Once again probably a little to early
3. Had a real bad experience when jaunted over to Extasis near 85th and 15th on a early Sunday evening. I learned my lesson don't show up early to a bar.
4. Last night found another bar called Amor VIP or something to that effect. The bar was on 15th(around 94th) on either side. I will probably be checking it out tomorrow.
Where is a good place to meet GFE's or non-pro's? Is there a preferred discoteca for such things?
Most of my positive whoring experience has been in the Phillipines not just for price buy most of the girls made fun companions also.
Honduras was crap for P4P compared to here. But I had a cute fun trophy girlfriend while working in Honduras.
I know Colombia is more 1st world but isn't this place supposed to be good for finding trophy girlfriends also (no I am not looking in whoring establishments for such things)
As a newcommer to Bogota what shall I opt for --Escort services or mongering in the lanes of Santa Fe etc?
Pl guide ,especially senior members of Bogota forum.

I'd like to get into that line of works so I can live in Colombia with a trophy girl friend!
Seriously; just out of curiosity what do you do?
This has been my 5th or so time in Bogota. This time, I stuck to Santa Fe and I did not even bother to go one single time to "La Forinai" (a. K. A. La Wiskeria La 49), Fortaleza or other expensive clubs. The truth is that in that clubs go the same girls we can meet in Santa Fe. The actual difference is the environment: for a classy ambiance, a better room and more time, the girl fee goes up to 300k from the 30k-50k asked in SF bars.
I am not like the guy who asked info here, recently, pointing out that however he knows already about the danger of kidnapping in Bog, so I have no doubt to move straight to SF. (I am sorry for that guy who probably did not even leave the hotel for dinner)
Personally, I found SF much safer than 1y ago and before. While time ago I did not dare to walk around the streets in the block Caracas Cr14-Cr16, Cl19-Cl22 after 1am, this time I did it quite relaxed even at 3am, in particular to move from Atunes/Paisas/Venus to and from Manizalitas, and to screen the SWs in the hope to find a younger one lost in the calles (no, I did not see a single one).
On the other hand, I do not recommend to venture South of Cl19 walking alone at night. The probabilty of being robbered there is 0. 99 in a short time.
My favourite clubs have been the ones mentioned above. In all those clubs: beers 2k-2. 5k, ratito 30k-50k 15 mins.
Atunes. Most girls are doable. Some young gems who appear and disappear (they live upstairs and do not feel obliged to work full time, apparently). Boy, there is a group of fine teens looking good as I could not imagine in this place, however all certified 18yo by the cedula: confused:. Mixed people, with low peaks like coca-addicted or guys so drunk to fall down on the floor.
Paisas. There is also a strip lane. Girls are mostly older but some are really sexy. Also here, you can find all size and shapes.
Venus. Also here, be prepared to the wildest variance of girl look: from the ugly ones, to a surprisingly sexy teen or even to a Swedish-type tall blonde girl. Many of these girls come and go from Atunes or other bars.
Manizalitas. More on the lower end, but I recommend it if you like wilder girls and customers.
All young girls mentioned above are real sharks, well into the profession, experienced as old ones to handle people of all social levels. Apparently, few weeks in these places endure a girl and make her tough like an old street hag. Or, also, they come from barrios where you lose soon all naivety.
What I like of these places is that you can sit down, have your beer and nobody disturbs you. You call a girl and you can spend all time you want to chat (but pay her one or more drinks, priced 5k-7k each, or buy a bottle of Aguardiente or Ron if have time to spend and you don't mind to taste the floor instead of the pussy you dreamed about in your hotel).
In these places, I had 1-2 fucks per day for a week (I wish I had the patience to log activities as Tungurahua), all with memorable girls and for 40k-50k including tip to get extra care.
All bars in SF close at 3am. The police patrols and enforce strictly the rule, but as it often happens there are exceptions.
Some bar will lock the doors and switch off the light, but inside all activities will go on like before (but with music at lower volume).
Guys outside look for police, knock the door to allow people to slip inside in a quick door opening.
How you know? Because the usual push-in touts (porteros) will stay in front, call you and show the door when you pass by. Door opening involves unlatching locks and turning keys. A guy pats your shoulder and pulls you in. Don't worry. You can go out when you want (and when the guard outside gives the authorization because there is no police).
If you still want to have fun after 3am, there is in particular an "amanacedero" 1 block from Paisas etc. After 3am, in the calles there will be various guys whispering you "amanacedero amanacedero" and willing to accompany you there.
"Amanacer" means "dawn". An amanacedero is thus an after-hours bar, which goes on till morning. I guess this one is illegal, because the night I entered it was dark and silent, with guys telling me that they had to shut down everything that night because of the police pressure.
One night, I had some drinks at Atunes with a girl I spotted nights before. Undefined age, but teen-type and anyway looking in range 18-19yo. I noticed her nights before, when bars were closing, because she is not only one of the sexiest ones, but also because she was overdrunk, due to mixing alcool with perico unconsiderately.
At the end, I wanted to have my reward and thus I proposed her to go for a pieza outside. She did not want and insisted to go to an amanacedero 10mins by taxi with her sister. I was not keen to go to a place full of drug sellers, far from there, with the two girls. I showed them that I had in my wallet the last 60k and I insisted for letting her to have it. No way. In a few minutes, I find myself on a taxi running the lonely avenues of Bogota towards South West.
The place is called "La Roka", on the Av. 1st Mayo with 27Sur. It seems to be quite famous. Lots of taxi waiting in front. Quite scary though: the locked door is on a washing cars place and the faces of people are not the same as in a university. A huge portero knocks. We enter. Very thorough search for arms hidden on my body. Stair. Second locked door and second search.
Inside it looks like Atunes or Venus. Only the people is more drunk.
The night did not turn as I wanted. The girl is more interested to get booze than to earning money with her pussy. She does not look as a drug addicted, though. With her short white dress she is like a gem in the rubbish there.
My money is used 1st for a mid bottle of Aguardiente (40k). After me her and sister finish it, the girl asks me if I can give her 10k for perico. She sniffs it in front of everyone using the blade of a knife that, I see, she had hidden in the bra. After more 30 mins she is totally out. I leave, escorted to the door with the sister, and I use my last 10k for the taxi to the hotel.
The day after I ask a taxi driver if he knows La Roka. He says yes but he does not like it. "Muchos bandidos senor! ".

I've been to two of these joints: La Cascada, in 58 and Caracas, and the other (no name), in Caracas and 49, around the block from Whiskeria de la 49 (aka fortynine). Same story: closed door, freaky watchman looking for cops and allowing clandestine entry and exit by groups, crazy people inside, lots of wasted WGs and creepy looking guys, etc.
Most pros in Bogota are part of some sort of circuit (yes, if you figure it out you'll have a key to the local pussy economy and its "flows" in the urban geography - prices, as you mention, vary widely from place to place). They work in a particular place (in the north) up to a specific time, then seem to go elsewhere (49 and SF), to finally end up in these "amanecederos", where they seem to "relax" after work. Pushing your imagination you could compare this to the usual afternoon beer with the guys from the office.
The girls who do this kind of tour tend to fall in two categories: really fucked up addicts (alcohol included) or the young and wild who are still full of energy and will try almost anything. Mothers with kids and ladies with real needs at home might work the whole shift, but they both treasure their earnings and care for their health and safety, and won't party so hard.
Local taxi drivers will al coincide in what you were told: These places are dark (in every possible sense)! You might have a wild time and end up with a crazy babe giving you the whole PSE for free, after considering you a fellow raver instead of a client; but you might also end up drugged unconscious by one of the thugs that fish in the turbulent waters of the city's underground, only to appear naked and stripped out of every dime in the outskirts of town, if lucky.
Seems a hard bet for me now, after my quest for excitement has become, let's say, a bit more sophisticated. But then again, to each his own...
