P.S. actually there is another option, 4x4 to metro stop uruguaiana, less than 1 euro and you are out of cantagalo stop, down along miguel lemos until one street before avenida, aires saldanha, where you get to right and that's all....yes this is an advanced tecnique only for more experienced mongers who are able to buy and read a map of copacabana or to use google maps....

I found the above info using Google advance search, (search in Portuguese Language.) It will take you to a competing forum. Use Google maps to locate the address in Rio. (It's surrounded by Favelas!)

Somewhat difficult finding the above info, as the address is not listed in Gpguia nor BitchMaps, and regular Google search did not find it.

The closer I get to leaving Rio, the crazier I tend to get, trying to get one last adventure in. I have promised Tina to see her at L’uomo at 4:30, and she wants to pick some L’uomo girls for me. At 11 I head to the cabina for one more battle with Jamile. We only booked a small room for 40 minutes, but as we pass the door of the super-suite, Tina comes out and waves us in. She and Rob and another girl are in there and just getting ready. OK, let’s join that party. First, Jamile and I just stand against the wall, Rob and the third girl (sorry, never got introduced by name) are on the giant round bed, and he is eating her out as she sits on his face, Tina is on the phone ordering drinks. Ate it standing at the counter, washed it down with draft beer, and got out for under 20R. Christopherd showed me this place, and now its one of my favorites. Back onto the metro an on to Uruguaiana station.

I had walked by 502 Alfandega on the day before and wanted to reacquaint myself. So I do my usual metro ride again, but stop at the last doorway on the right side of Alfandega before it runs into Rio Branco. There is no sign on the building, but the door is open and shows the stairs lit with little Xmas light that leads up. Entrance is 20R, but counts towards your drinks. You get a plastic card with your number on it, and off you go (fully clothed, btw) into the boite. There are only 20 girls or so, several of them below my threshold (not judging, just stating what goes on in my mind), but three nice candidates. For me the face is the most important body part of a girl, and I have to be physically attracted to the face to select somebody. 502 is not exactly conducive to face recognition, because the boite is such a dark tunnel. But I just park myself a couple of feet in front of the bar, with my back to it. The bar illuminates the first 10 – 15 feet sufficiently that you can see what you are getting into.

BTW, when I check out my 4 Skols, 1 Red Bull and the cover fee together cost me 36R. In other words, total damage for this little expedition is only 132R, if I count the two subway fares. So 502 remains a decent option for bargain shoppers, for whom VM is just too dirty.

Around 9 I head back to Siquiera Compos, because I agree with “Rob” to meet there. He wants to introduce me to “Tina”. But when I get there, no trace of him. Of course, I really want to meet Tina; what Rob has told me sound very intriguing. Not here, either. I ask Melina to call her friend Tina and get me Rob’s number. Rob agrees to come over, but Tina will stay at his place, because she has bruised her legs taking a fall.

From 10 to 11 or so on that Friday evening I am the only guy in the boite, and 25 girls are watching me more to see if I pick her. A few days in Rio have passed; time to write a report. My first impression: As good as ever, but significantly more expensive than in the past. I wasn’t really there to do bargain hunting, but still. The real-dollar exchange rate was bad; I got quotes of 1.6R/$ at the worst places, 1.7 at the Premier Copacabana hotel, 1.7 at 4*4 and 1.8 at L’uomo. L’uomo also accepted euros at a rate of 2.65.

First day, Wednesday: I arrived at the International airport at 8 pm, has to wait a bit for the Real bus (still the same bargain at 7R), took the 40 min. ride to the Copa through the rain, and arrived at the Premier Copacabana across from the Siquiera Campos metro station (still very highly recommended; reasonably priced, free wireless in the room, clean, and girl-friendly) at 9 pm. Tossed my bags into the room, showered and shaved, and was in L’uomo at 9:20.

Ahhh, I was HOME again. There are on the order of 30 girls present every night, and I must say that there isn’t an ugly one in the bunch. The blond girl at the reception recognized me, asked me why it had been so long; the girl in the locker room joked with me about the short bathrobes again, barman Peter remembered my name. Just like in the old TV series “Cheers”, except with a hell-of-a-lot better bunda selection :D.
