Cartagena Reports
For you to examine and take into account. Fresh news from Cartagena. I translate:

Noviembre 11 de 2007

Extraña muerte de un estadounidense en el sector de Getsemaní, en Cartagena
(Strange death of a U.S. man in Getsemani sector, at Cartagena)

Supposedly, death was due to drugs verdose, but there are other hypotheses. The man was in a poor sector, where thieves and street girls are common. Please read from this episode before a bad choice.
Funnily enough I met an Australian girl who is staying at the same hostel. She was quite upset about this incident. It happened in the Hostel and was apparently suicide.

Otown
Does that include the taxes etc.

Just got back from Cartagena.

Giro Matto is closed, but the new and better place Electra is open. No cover, doesn't start until after 3AM. Was packed with girls, not sure how it is off-season though.

Noticed same girls in other clubs earlier, end up partying in Electra later in the night. For me it sure beats upfront negotiation at LDV.

Otown
Hey this seems to good to be true. Are you sure tickets are that cheap? Last time i checked the price was much higher than that.

There are reports he had a bag over his head. Not the usual way of intentionally killing oneself.

Hi all,

This goes out to all the veteran mongers.

Please help I am pretty well travelled but I am leaving sex prison soon for fun and here is my delima.

I have these choices Brazil, Columbia, Peru and Costa Rica for 7-10 days.

Here is what I am looking for as far as what I like when I travel:

1) Beautiful women both pro and non-pro.

2) Beautiful beaches and a good and atleast somewhat safe party scene.

3) Universities cloose by--love the college girls :)

I have been to Ibiza Spain twice very fun but very expensive, Buenos Aires alot of fun great prices but no good beaches at all.

So where would you go for 7-10 days with the above outlined goals?

Thanks in advance for your valued input.

Brazil. Fortaleza.

Though I believe Colombia has the best looking women, Brazil has a much better beach scene.

I'd read up on the Rio thread and give that a whirl.

Good luck!
Don't ask people for advice like this. Nobody can help you because your ideas are unique. Just do it. Try small, take $1000 worth of stuff and go around and make contacts. Sell at or below cost. Sell for whatever you can sell for, as long as you make contacts. What is the worst case scenario? You spent $1000 and sold it for $300? So you lost $700 but imagine the week you spent. You made 25 contacts, you gained invaluable experience. You learned much about export and customs and marketing in foreign lands. You know what to watch out for next time, etc.... and you really would have needed to screw up to buy for $1000 and sell for $300. Imagine you met a girl and told her what you were doing. Instead of saying "come I'll give you $60", you are trying to expand your business to Cartagena.

Win win win. There is no possible negative outcome.
Misinformation is right. And by the way, it is amazing what you can buy in Panama City) Its a 100-150 plane ride from Cartegena, and and there is an incredible amount of stuff that is really cheap (even by NYC wholesale standards) in some sort of free trade zone. This post caught my eye because my girlfriend for a week in Cartegena was trying to sell me on just this. She does the PFP scene when she needs to, wonder if you got the idea in the same place.
