Trick or Treating at Hop Yi - Causeway Bay
time to come out from lurking again. i know, long tr. and actually little info on my personal experience with my 141 gal. skip my report if you want the down and dirty because it ain't here.
recently, i had the opportunity to meet up with fellow monger who i'll refer to as ck, in hong kong. we were both here from the us and our schedules intersected so we got together to share stories, a peking duck dinner and a "trick or treat" experience at the hop yi building in causeway bay area, just a couple of minutes from wanchai in hk.
hop yi is famous for it's 12 floors of *****s. i don't spent lots of times in the 141s but i've been there enough to know how it's supposed to work. my previous experiences in the 141s have been good but not great but ck showed me the new proper etiquette in working these small apartments.
prior history. i have gone to a couple of places in the past and i assumed that once you rang a bell or knocked on the door, you were committed. you had to do your homework first by looking at the 141 sites (or similar, 161, best141, etc), noting the best looking gals that you wanted to do and then proceed to the building to see if she was available. i could see myself walking down the hall with pictures and unit numbers in hand, scribbling notes. but that really wasn't going to work.
some buildings would the post pics of the girls posted on the door, usually with a blurred face. once the girl opened the door, it was considered bad form to just reject her on looks alone. i always followed the unwritten rule of committing once you knock. that was the process i was used to since i was in a strange, usually dark building full of hookers, customers, video cameras and usually one (or maybe more) security guard.
new etiquette. here's my latest take of what the process is. you can look up the 141 sites to get an idea of which fantasy girl you want but until you see her in person, you're probably not going to commit. every customer going there has two intentions imho, he's either looking for a specific gal.one that he did prior or a recommendation or.try out someone new. everyone is ringing every door that has a welcome sign or is lit up with a pink flourescent bulb. sometimes the signs are in chinese, making it difficult to know if she's busy or not. every doorbell looks and works the same. guys are ringing bells, looking at the girls and asking some very basic questions. there really is no small talk other than asking price. this seems very acceptable to the girls so now on to my "trick or treat experience"
ck and i just started by taking the elevator to the top floor of hop yi. the building is fairly narrow and there could not be more than 6-8 gals on each floor if it were at full capacity. more than likely, there are about five active units on each floor. during prime time, after 7:00pm or so, there's mongers everywhere. they are all hk locals with an occasional caucasian or non-chinese face. you don't just shoot the breeze with the guys in the hall like you would at the biergarten in bkk. you don't make eye contact and the focus in on the gals. h2p and i probably could care less since we're not locals. we're just going up to every door, positioning ourselves to get the best look when she opens the door, etc.
a couple of other interesting tidbits. i don't recommend ringing more than one door at a time. i think it's really bad form to just ring the bell of every available gal just to have multiple doors open up. if you have two people such as when ck and i were doing the rounds, we would position ourselves at different doors, especially if it were tight quarters. the main goal is to get a few tidbits of information from her when she opened the door. we were evaluating her attitude, looks, her desire to sell her product and whether she was just going through the motions. you have to do this in probably 20 secs or less since you only had the one opportunity just smile and say something like, how much? these gals don't speak much english but they all know pricing. we were looking for that little extra clue to see who would be good and who would be fantastic.
as we proceeded down and eventually back up the floors. we had to start making mental notes of which girl we had seen and who was available. we needed a contact management program and pda to track all of the gals we looked at. i would guesstimate that we saw close to 25 gals in hop yi (roughly 2 per floor) who answered the door. there were definitely lots of "busy, come back later" signs as well as lots of moaning and groaning coming from behind closed doors. out of the 25 gals, more than 70% were doable, the others just had bad attitude or had no personality. there was probably only a couple that were downright unattractive since there's got to be a minimum standard for this building. if you don't measure up, you're not going to get a lot or any business.
as we got into the swing of things, the gals were answering the doors some quicker than others. if other mongers were around, they would crane their necks to get a peek of the gal. if just felt like halloween where you are the kids ringing the bell, the girls are the ones dressed in costume and i'm missing my pillowcase for my treats. the doors are decorated with stickers, some funny phrases (valentine, super model, etc). of course, there's always the wondering out loud, if the girl that's busy is even better looking or provides better service. you don't get to see her and you don't want to hang out listening to her screams and moans. kinda reminds me of the guys who hang out in front of adelitas in tijuana, mexico keeping track of the gals and who goes up, how long, is the customer happy when he comes back down? . but that's another story.
ck and i finally made it near the ground floor and we started connecting the dots and making notes on who was desirable and where she was. it was easy to sort of remember, 8th floor, but was it the unit to the right two doors down or was it three doors down? we also saw groups of young men, sometimes up to five, ringing one doorbell and just standing back waiting to see who opened the door. we surmised that no one was really willing to go in, it was just some strange sort of male bonding experience.
one other interesting note, there's a high probability you are being viewed/recorded at by close-circuit tv from within the gals little apartment. the girl i saw had a message on her screen saying that her hard drive was filled up and images weren't being saved. i wonder if this is being piped into a central repository. hmmm
getting back on track, the girls all wanted between 350 and 500 hkd for about 45 minutes worth of service. this usually includes a standup shower in the combo toilet shower room. some may give you body to body vertically while in the shower or even a listerine or warm water bj. on to the bed, and it looks like any other mongkok one-up, basket full of condoms, lots of liquids like lubes, mouthwash, lotions, etc. huge amount of towels and boxes of tissues everywhere. the girls have standard routines such as licking, nibbling, stroking, etc. suffice it to say, it was a good start to my trip. there will be more reporting on my other leg (no pun intended) to macau, which i'll post in the appropriate section.
141s are a good option for quick and dirty experience. pick a girl and go with it.

37 Dundas - first floor vs. second floor

You had a normal 2nd floor experience at 37D... they never do line-ups. Only the first floor place does that.
Could you explain the difference between Dundas 37 first and second floor? I wasn't aware there were two.
First, it may be helpful to mention that the Hong Kong system of numbering floors in a building is different than the American system (I'm from the US).
In Hong Kong the street level is known as the "ground" level. Walk up one flight and you are on what is known as the first floor in Hong Kong (called the second floor in the US). Walk up one more flight and you're on the Hong Kong 2nd floor (3rd floor in the uS), and so on.
Now for 37 Dundas: I've been there twice. Both times I walked up one flight of stairs to the first floor, where I was met by a mamasan, brought to a small room, then shown a lineup of 3-4 girls. I then chose one girl, paid the 490 HK$ house fee, then the girl and I walked up two flights of stairs to the third floor (4th floor in the US system) and checked into one of the rooms at the mini-hotel located there.
The second floor at 37 Dundas (3rd floor in the US) is also a brothel, where one also chooses a girl and then brings her to the 3rd floor mini-hotel. The difference seems to be that the 2nd floor place does not do a lineup.
For legal reasons, in HK the brothel where you choose the girl and the place where you have sex with her are different (this also is true for K-Pressure); note that 141 and 161 girls fall into a different legal category.
Hope this helps.
K Pressure - opening hours
Hi all,
Will arrive to HKG early morning.
Tried at 141 and understood that most will work as of 12:00.
Does anyone knows at what time they are opening at K Pressure?
Thanks,
WG
