Hello gentleman,
I am planning a mongering trip in June for my birthday and am so torn on where to go. ... Do I have a lot to learn before venturing Medellin alone? Could I get a central hotel and walk to a lot of areas and have chicas come to me? I know I have a lot of studying to do of this forum but just wanted some general thoughts on Medellin compared to other areas. Thanks.
You should have no problem going to Medellin alone, especially since you have enough time to make some Facebook friends before you go. I can't recommend staying in the downtown area on your first visit. That would be pretty much a daytime only venture for you. Stay in Poblado, near Parque Lleras. That area is safe day and night. You will pay a little more than downtown for almost everything, but it's still fairly inexpensive. A taxi from Poblado to downtown is $3 or $4. If you want to stay among locals (like downtown), stay in Laureles-Estadio. You can take the Metro from there to downtown for less than $1. Laureles is also safe.
Get a chica-friendly hotel room or apartment and the ladies will come to you. Almost all the working ladies have friends who are also looking for nice guys. Just ask them to recommend some of their friends. I think you will find that Medellin compares favorably to any modern city, and better than most.

Medellin is different from other places I've been to and the Mansion itself is a surreal place within a much larger pussy paradise.!
As alway Tasss, an above and beyond effort at providing clear and helpful road trip report. Thank you for all the hard work and effort you put in creating this Medellin guide for newbies.

I thought I saw this mentioned before, but is there a way to activate an old SIM card bought in Colombia online?
I thought I saw this mentioned before, but is there a way to activate an old SIM card bought in Colombia online?
I have a very old SIM card, which I bough more than 5 years ago and I have been using so long, without problems except that each time I had to top it up again on my first day in Colombia. From one stay to the next one, some times there was even one year. When not many months passed since the last use, I even recovered the original credit.
Anyone knows what will happen when I will try to use it again on my next visit? Will it be still active, as it follows "Old Golden Rules"? Or will I have to activate it? I am really pissed off.
Early thirties, with terrible Spanish and a total novice in international mongering.
I am currently in the Parque Lleras area and not in a chica friendly hotel.
Anyone have any tips on how best to spend my time here?
Where to go? What to expect when I get there?
Thanks guys.

Thanks guys.
1) GTFO of EL Poblado. You need to be where the "casas de cita" are, not where the trendy tourists and affluent Colombians are.
2) Consult the Medellin Monger Map.
3) Read the forum. It should tell you all you need to know.
Note, I was 58 the last time I was there, new to mongering in LA, and I spoke maybe five words of Spanish. I didn't get anywhere near Lleras. But, I had a great time, had as much pussy as I could handle and didn't even get to explore a tenth of the mongering options. You can have a great time, too. Just use your resources and you should do just as well. PM if you need some suggestions.

I would peruse the board for any guys who are also there right now and send them a PM asking if they'd like to meet up and offer tips or be a tour guide. In exchange you can pick up dinner, a few rounds at Beer Store or MBF or even pay for the ST for a guy who really helps you out.
Good luck!
True. Everyone has a different level of comfort in strange situations. However, my personal experience with Medellin is that I did okay just staying on "La Sententa" (or is it LOS Sententa), just a block off from the metro station. Not much English spoken there, but I got fed when I wanted to eat, and got there and back when I wanted to. A Farmacia at the end of block sold me a couple of boxes of "sildenafilo" despite my language barrier. Walked to Energia, "no problem" after dark. Also walked around and explored El Centro during the day. Not so easy finding Aifee and New Life on foot, until I took a cab (which was cheap). All in all, it was a fun experience even though I went by myself. Even hung out with a mature Canuck backpacker cheap for a few days, so I had some company too. The biggest challenge to me in Medellin, quite honestly, is finding food that is tasty instead of bland. That was a actually a factor in my choosing to go back to SE Asia before coming back to Colombia. But to my point, its not a hard town to get around in, and if you read the forum, and study the Monger Map, you should be in like flint. Still there are those who really need to be in a controlled environment and have the prey dropped in front of them. There was the curious case of the remedial monger who identified himself as an "FKK Guy" who showed up in Pattaya and couldn't figure out who were the working girls. Really. He asked for help on the Patts forum and apparently a forum member staying in Patts had to go meet him and actually show him who he could pay for sex. I guess we all have our challenges. Some of us, not so much.
I travelled solo last year, first time to Colombia and got an apartment through pobladorentals in Poblado. Taxis are cheap. I had good experience in take-outs, two shots each time. With Casas, it is a hit or a miss. Some were good and some just lay there like dead fish. Had no problem finding places in Centro and other parts of the city. Mansion may be ok for those who dare not venture out and I am not one of them. I agree with lack of variety in food. Could get bored in a week. I had to eat some street food at times than the bland offerings. My only gripe about Colombia. Now that a lot of Venezuelans are in the country, the take in or take out rates could go down.

Nice report, I think you captured the scene well. There is a good variety of food in Medellin as long as you stay away from the Colombian restaurants. That is much harder to do in Centro than in Poblado and Laureles. Peruvian and Peruvian fusion have been super popular the last few years. There is good variety on the Provenza strip and around Laureles.
By take-outs did you mean girls from the strip clubs or facebook girls? I agree with what you said about the casas. I notice even the same girl who is lackluster in the casa performs better when you get her out on the side.

I have been to a few of the massage places in Laureles, not very expensive uber trip under $3. Tantra massage and Energy (the one accross from the stadium) is good but a little more expensive, but has more girls.
There are online girls (mileroticos or Photoprepagos) but if your place is not GF then a love motel is a good option but with your little Spanish might be a challenge. Try getting an online lady on Whatsapp and use the translator. See if she can meet at a love motel and get the address, take a taxi / uber and stay in touch. Then confirm when she is there and go inside to meet her. The rooms are pretty cheap under $40 K COP.
Or try and meet up with someone on this board.
Good luck.

I decided to pay the $90 for a month of SA and have made many contacts some really hot and some just so so but 2 speak fluent english. I think it will pay for itself if I find one gem that is not a hardened PRO.

Hello,
Does anyone know if girls charge a fee if you do not want to stay. I mean if you make an arrangement to meet her at her place, but once you are there and don't meet you expectation, do they charge a fee for cancelling?
I mean none of the girls show their faces, so maybe once there you don't want to stay.
Also I have seen that photosprepagos girls if you search for the number on that page or on google I usually find there are several girls working on the same apartment.
I think you don't have on the Casas de citas, I think I read some casa was charging 2 K pesos, like a dollar, so it is that is ok.
