There are GDP who can cause trouble, and they are tose who could get you out of trouble. So I keep in touch with good ones, and bring inexpensive gifts. When I leave Rio, I give my friends my food and household stuff. Why throw it out when other could use it. My main girl loves the the tall cans of Lysol and bath tube cleaner that I bring from the states to sterilize my apartment. So I will bring her 4 cans of each because they can't get it in Brazil. If you're looking for sex in Europe, Germany is hard to beat as an option. If you're looking specifically for Brazilians, Spain is hard to beat. I used to live there, and outside most major cities you'll see clubs that are basically converted roadside motels. The lobby and reception become bars to meet and mix with the girls, and then when you're ready (and only when YOU are ready, because they have a nasty habit of pushing you into this) you can go to a room.
Club Riviera in Barcelona is one famous spot. I believe that they were raided and closed, but they should be open now. If so, it would be good as I've yet to find more optifucks than I did there.

I think I speak for quite a few people on this forum in saying that it is [i]extremely[/i] easy to fall in love with GDPs, particularly if you see her outside of work. It is undoubtedly a risk, which can be mitigated in at least 2 ways:
1. As Euro100 says, what happens in Rio stays in Rio. It's love, but it's more or less theater for the both of you. Remember this, and try to put up a mental block and barrier as you leave. And oh yes, make sure she can't track you down. He might tell you to throw away phone numbers but as of yet I don't make a habit of this.
2. You'll fall in love with one. And the plane ride home will be painful. And then you'll come back and forget about her when you fall in love with another. And then you'll leave, come back, and fall in love with a third. And then you'll leave, forget about her, come back, and fall in love with yet another. You probably see where I'm going with this.... :)
Other thoughts are welcome of course.

Definitely, this is a risk that I do not want to pretend is not there. I have come close several times and too close a few times, and I have become really attached. Because invariably I find that there is a beautiful human being with real feelings behind the front of the gdp. So, yes, I have suffered pretty bad sometimes on the flight back from Rio. But it's a price I am willing to pay. Let me quote the eminent poets Goo Goo Dolls (Iris): "you bleed just to know you're alive".

I'm Asian and I didn't run into any racial issues in any of those countries. As for safety, just use common sense and avoid areas you are not familiar with or look like trouble (dark alleys, dark streets, bad neighborhoods).
It seems like everyone has been talking of only the good parts of seeing a terma girl outside of her job. There are some bad parts too that I have found out by doing this. My best advice is to pay them everytime you have sex because it seems to be cheaper that way. If you are not paying for sex they are usually looking to get paid in other ways eventually like presents, shopping trips or marriage.
Anyway, I am not saying you shouldn't do this. It can be a lot of fun and different than just going to the termas, but it can be a lot more expensive in terms of money, time, or drama/headaches. Also, while you are spending time with your terma gf, the other termas are filling up with hotter, younger talent every day!
