On my last trip I picked up a cute girl on Soi 11. She was on her way to her massage parlor when I ran into her. After some friendly small talk she invited me to come with her to her shop. The place was very small, but clean. Just before the point of no turning back my brain kicked into gear and I realized it would be more fun back at my suite at the Fraser. 2.5 hours more or less. No one was watching the clock. 1500bt plus 400bt (I think) for outcall. J was very sweet and so much fun that I hooked up with her again the next day. Not porn star, but very close to GFE. Nice girl. Being tall, the short girls don't usually see the thinning patch on the crown. LOL. Fortunately my quantity of grey is not so bad either. Also Harold (aka Streetwalker) has freely admitted he can't bar-fine girls for 2000 or less from the Rainbows, so it stretches credibility that a 'star' in his words would agree to go with him for 1500. Maybe she might if it was just before closing time (potential bargains to be had late at night) but Harold has also freely admitted he is a creature of habit and doesn't stay out that late. I agree with you though that it isn't great form from Harold and perhaps symptomatic of why the girls aren't overly enamoured by him.

I've been to Bangkok a few times as well as Pattaya. I noticed if you go with the touts for the ping pong show, they show you a card full of things the girls do. But they usually turn out to be less than exciting and are performed by chubby or older women. Women you may not want to see.

Last time I was in pattay I met a taxi driver that took me to the better sex show. As in better, I mean the girls did pretty much all things from ping pong, egg, fishbowl, blades, and sexual acts. The best part is that all of them were reasonably good looking and more than likely in their 20's. Of course, it was more expensive, but it was worth it in my opinion for the quality.

My question is. Where is the best show in Bangkok? I read quite a few pages back and gave up seeing that there is a LOT of traffic on this thread.

So I cannot comment on "best" of the worst. These shows originated from Phat Phong upstairs bars, e. G. Queens Castle Group were non-rip-off bars. Most mongers don't use Phat Phong upstairs bars any more (at least we get no reports).

Expensive? Normally you pay for drinks and the shows are free except at rip-off bars. In Cowboy, Suzie Wong as a pathetic selection of some of the worst shows. Better to try Long Gun.

Stickman has had a few from there who were the subjects of his Girl of the Week and they looked quite ok. In the past 10 years I have gone a single time (about 3 years ago) just to see if things had gotten better. In fact they had gotten much worse. All the bars looked so rundown and so did most of the girls. And it was still just as irritating with the aggressive touts and the market. When I first started coming in the early 90's that was the place to go. Nobody bothered with Soi Cowboy except old ex-pats looking for cheap drinks. Nana Plaza was ok but Patpong ruled. There were loads of sex shows back then. I remember one Thai couple who would go to various bars and have intercourse a few times each night. And this was well before Viagra! I wonder where they are now. Happily married I am sure. Once you see all the various implements from Ping-Pong balls to penmanship that girls are able to utilize with their nether region it gets boring very fast and at least for me generally took me right out of the mood. Nothing like razor blades to do that. The last time I went to one of these shows about 15 yrs back I got wacked right in the head with a flying banana. Once was enough. Never went back.

So I don't agree that nobody bothered with Cowboy, however it was less raunchy than PP at that time. I still remember taking a girl for very LT for 400 Baht (about $20 at the time) and even midday she did not want to leave. However Pat Pong's Kangaroo bar or Rose was recommended as sleaziest for a lunchtime BJ or similar. Some upstairs bars were okay back then. Firecat, Lipstick, Pussy Galore, Queen's Castle, etc. Most good bars were in Pat Pong Soi 1 rather than PP 2.

Several years later Nana became preferred as they started to have girls dancing nude. I used to go Lollipop, Pretty lady, Voodoo, etc. (probably mid 90s) , later still the full nudity disappeared from Nana and re-emerged at Cowboy.

I am preferring Suzie Wong, Doll House, Crazy House due to full nudity girls. Previously Sheba (before it closed) was a lot better than SW, due to staff being more laid back and relaxed. SW staff seem to be a bit pushy these days. Could be because bar is so full they want to turn over customers and make more sales.

I went looking often enough to feel pretty safe about that. But it was much cheaper and for some mongers that is what really counts. It was basically all older ex-pats that hung out there with sure some more experienced mongers finding their way but very few sex tourists ever found their way there. This was pre-internet and there was very little info out there except about Patpong which made it into all the guide books. Finding Nana Plaza was an accident for me on my first trip only because I had booked myself into the Grace Hotel after I had read an article that mentioned girls could be found there (this was pre-Arab days) and walked down the street one night and lo and behold, gogo bars. But even after finding it and spending time there, I almost always went to Patpong because they had the higher quality girls. My opinion anyways!

As a newbie at the time, I might not have been as fussy as these days, but Cowboy was certainly okay in some bars. A combination of some expats and some experienced Thai tourists certainly were preferring the more laid back style of Cowboy. Pat Pong was better for the raunchy stuff and the downstairs Pat Pong girls were maybe better looking, but more mercenary than Cowboy and harder to get LT GFE at a good price. I took mostly upstairs PP girls or cowboy girls. Far cheaper.

So cowboy was no joke at all IMHO. I knew the Farang owners of a Cowboy bar that was located approx. right where Baccara is now, as one was a relative of a buddy in my Thai language class, who was quite experienced in Thailand.
