Here is my update from my trip last week.

First night started at Cleopatra as not been there before. Pleasant enough environment. It was only about 11pm so quiet. Girls were 6/7 at best. Wasn't ready to partake so moved onto Dali. I love this place and it seemed I struck gold. It was still relatively early (12am) and the place was empty except for about 40 women. (A few couples came, took a look and ran out!)

There were six dancers. They danced topless but not fully nude. Each dancer, Without exception, came to me after her dance and asked if I wanted a private dance. Without exception I said "Later, may be." There was one girl I liked. She asked if she could sit with me. I said "Yes.". A drink for her cost 50 levs. It was above board because they showed me the price list beforehand. I asked if she would come to my room. She said she could not. She went on to explain that some girls have to use a room in the club itself, while other girls are allowed to go the customer's rooms.

She said she would introduce me to a girl who is allowed to go to my room. I had to do some tough negotiation with this other girl because I wanted a longer time. Every time she had to go to the Manager and confirm if the price was acceptable to him. In the end we settled for 200 Euros (note Euros not Levs) for 4 hours. The girl came to my room with me. She was all right - neither fantastic nor bad.

This was my first experience in Sofia. Considering that, it was all right overall.

went in last week for a peek. did not come across a single good looking girl. the place seemed much smaller than i had imagined. left very quickly after paying the 5 lev entry fee.....disappointed with the general lack of quality....

I am sorry to say this but it sounds to me like you don't have much street wiseness about you. You travelled the streets and take home hookers with nothing to loose with $700 Euros in your wallet? Are you nuts?

The first rule of safe mongering is to carry only just enough for what you are doing at that time and never much more. Second rule is to secure your valuables before you allow a hooker in your room. You did none of the above! I am surprised you were not bashed and your credit cards robbed by the security guards at the club? Why have them with you in the first place? Hotels have safes or safety deposit boxes. This is not the girls fault as she is a hooker because she needs the money not for fun. This is your fault for not putting your money in a safe place.
