I was looking at flights to Columbia and they are cheaper then going to the DR. My question is to guys who have done both places. I have done some reading but haves questions. The hotels and food are very close. I have seen Columbian women and they seem to be superior to the DR girls. A lot more plastic surgery but that is ok with me. I would like to get some opinions comparing the 2 places.

Yeah, well, sport fucking is OK if that is what you want, but you are mostly not going to get really great sex, if that is what you are looking for. Unfortunately a lot of people these days see the whole of life as a business transaction, and they lose out a lot because of this narrow outlook. I think people are also influenced in their perspectives by the easy availabilty of online pornography, and even though they may state that they know it is not real, they don't quite understand exactly how it is not real. For example, there is never any realistic conversation or flirting in porno, people never address each other by their names, never talk about condoms, or taking a shower. I could go on, but you get the picture. It is not just that what is shown on camera is edited and impossible in real life, but that a whole abnormal style of interaction is depicted.

I went there for work, but I was able to get away from my co-workers few times to go massage spots or BJ bars. I am a booty man, so DR is the place to be for me. I will be in sosua in December for my second trip, my first trip was all about sportfucking. My experience in thailand was definitely better. I am not trying to start a debate on what's better between sosua and Bangkok, but I experienced a better level of customer satisfaction in Bangkok. When you get a 90 min massage, you can bang the girl for the first 30 min. When you are done, you get cleaned up and get to continue your massage for the remaining 60 min.
For my next trip to sosua, I am willing to venture to Puerto Plata on few nights to try my luck with semi pros or non pros. I will need a regular or few regulars to spend the nights with. I hate spending the night with a chick that you just want to keep out as soon as you get the change. My preference is to spend the night with a chick I like or have some type ofconnection, during the day I am all about getting a nut.
Eventually I would like to stay in puerto plata on my third trip, and just head to sosua during the day. Talking to non pros require investing time, I think what I got going on for my is being young. By young I am talking about early 30's. Buying drinks to girls in a club or being in a VIP section can be an ice breaker. I am not talking about being in a VIP spot at classicos, but in a club where 90% of women are non pros. I was able to score with an accountant in Bangkok. The only thing I spent on her were dinner dates. When a non pro looks at you and feel like you are not a monger, I don't see why the normal strategies to get women wouldn't work. I do that in the US, and it works well.

I have been to Medellin, Colombia three times in the last five months and spent two months during those last three trips. Everything is actually cheaper than in Sosua and the women are beautiful. Colombia is also much more dangerous in my opinion than the DR. The country has no real tourist infrastructure so the Colombians are not used to seeing lots of tourists. Speaking Spanish is a must there as very few people speak English. In Medellin you can get by on less than $ 50 a day if you stay in El Centro where you can get a hotel room for $ 10/ day and three street girls at $ 10 each a day and $ 10 a day for food. I have done this there and there are many others there doing the same thing, however this is the low end mongering excursion in Medellin and unless you have some Spanish speaking skills and can somewhat blend in I would not recommend it. They have a great casa scene in Medellin and from about $ 15 up you can have a great time with some beautiful girls. On my last trip I stayed a month in Medellin and actually rented two places. I had a one bedroom apartment in Poblado near Parque LLeras which is the Beverly Hills of the City which cost me less than $ 40 a night including breakfast and a hotel room in El Centro that I got for $ 8 a night. The people in Medellin are the nicest people I have ever met and quite frankly make the Dominicans seem like a bunch of hillbillies in comparison. As far as things to do there, well that's an issue because if your on a pure mongering trip there's only so much tourist stuff you can do in Medellin. On my last two trips I was studying Spanish at a University which basically kept me busy all day between classes and homework. If you have Spanish speaking skills I think you will enjoy it. I know some of the other DR regulars have been there and like it, it's very different than Sosua which has all the nice beaches, etc. To give you an idea how different things are between the two places in Medellin the construction workers all wear hard-hats, long pants, gloves, hearing protection, red vests, eye protection, etc. In Sosua the construction workers wear shorts and flip flops. Perhaps this is a weird comparison but it speaks volumes as to how up to date the Colombians are. As far as the women, there are some beauties and some can be passionate beyond belief but a lot will depend on you. I suggest you go for a week, you might fall in love with the place and dump the DR. The Minister of Interior and Police, Mr José Ramóand Fadul has announced that from 10 December to 7 January, the curfew on sales of alcoholic beverages will be lifted. This means that all establishments such as bars, restaurants and nightclubs are allowed in this period to stay open 24 hours a day and sell alcohol. The Minister came to this decision after consultation with representatives from the bars and restaurants and artistic world as both depend on these additional opening hours for extra revenues during this period. Artists, such as musicians can do more than one gig on an evening in this period and gain extra during Christmas time.
The minister also announced that during the holidays there will be more police and soldiers in the streets (also in Sosúa and Cabarete) to ensure the safety of citizens.

You know the routine in Sosua, say no 30 or 40 times until you find one worth a yes. Or you work the Cupid girls and line them up and hope they show. The cost of either is about the same.
With Bogota you're dealing with a city of 8 million (census) to 12 million (according to the locals) people. Except in the Santa Fe area, the Zona de Tolerencia, it's not anything like Sosua. Overall, the people there are healthier and more attractive than Sosua, but that might just be my preference. In 10 days there, I saw one woman I would consider obese and maybe 50 who I would call fat. I spent every day riding the Transmilenio and walking the streets, so I got a good view of the population.
Prices are comparable to Sosua for food, lodging and chicas. The only real difference is that, like any big city, Bogota has places you probably should avoid. Most of the worst areas are in the south and west. I stayed north, near Parque 93, a popular nightclub and shopping area. Great hotel for about $75 per night, breakfast included.
With Sosua, everything is either walking distance or a short motoconcho ride. With Bogota, as long as you can get to the Transmilenio, everything is pretty accessible. Cost is 1300 pesos off peak and 1700 pesos during peak times. Currently it's about 3050 pesos per dollar. The cost gets you into the station. From there take any bus, transfer as many times as you want. I spent a few hours just riding and getting a bigger view of the city. The altitude might affect you. It keeps the climate very comfortable, but the lower air pressure means you'll probably get winded quicker.
There are a few things to worry about in Bogota. Taxis, especially in the Santa Fe area, can be dangerous. Always better to call for a taxi than to flag one down, especially at night. There's a scam where two men will work together, one pretending to be with the police. They lure you somewhere to verify your identification and to make sure you aren't carrying drugs or counterfeit money. A couple were arrested at the airport several months ago. One other trick is to spike your drink. This happens occasionally in the strip clubs. When you head to the bathroom or while you're distracted, someone drops something in your drink. Then they lead you to a few ATMs, then back to your hotel, you wake up the next day and everything is gone.
I didn't try exploiting the cupid scene for my Bogota trip, but I'm sure it's an option. However, I expect the girls will be less easily impressed than in the DR. Bogota is a world-class city, they are less likely to be impressed with cheap gifts. I also didn't venture into Santa Fe, as it wasn't a mongering trip, but plenty of information is available.
The different strengths, IMHO, of Sosua, Bogota and Medellin.
Straight sport fucking, go to Sosua. It's safe, cheap and everything's within reach. Maybe best of all, there's plenty of fellow mongerers to chat with when you're not otherwise occupied.
For more varied mongering, go to Medellin. The casas have been recommended by many.
For a tourist vacation with mongering opportunity, go to Bogota. Take a ride up Monserrate, visit the gold museum and other cultural sights downtown, head out on Sunday morning to experience Ciclovia, hit the discos in Zona Rosa, enjoy a burger and beer at La Hamburgesa, and an arepa at La Areparia Venezolana. And either venture to Santa Fe, or pick up some of the streetwalkers, try the various massage parlors, use the many escort services, or use your magic on cupid to keep your bed occupied.
It really all depends on what you want to get out of the trip.
