... as I never know who you were refering to, what whe looks like and what her name was. I am too much of a coward to ask Giotto or Mrs G about "this favourite waitress of Mick's"
The only reference I had was her hair. I finally saw someone fitting the description, so I asked my Sports Bar girl. Now I know.
Sorry I was so slow and need the joke spelled out.

Flyhere & Mick
My God, you guys are so pathetic.
Stop talking in an encrypted mode. So who is who? Just give the right name and we all would be happy. Why does it need to be Miss X, Y or Z. You are not posting their pictures though I wish you would. A description and a name would suffice. Have pity on the rest of us.
As it is I have lost count of how many Mrs. G's are there. :D

We have good reason not to mention names, since we still want to go there on good terms with the staff.
You can post your real name if you would prefer. Well just kidding as this would be regarded as a serious crime.
There are vety good reasons why we all have handles instead of real names.
So why would you care what the real names are anyway?

LOL...My apologies, didn't mean to be cryptic. It was a little joke on Mick, as he keeps mentioning this waitress (who shall remain nameless) that he likes.
Then again, may be the guys line up behind Mick waiting for a chance with this little Miss, just to keep Giotto on his toes.
Mick knows everyone and everyone knows Mick, it takes me a few visits to remember a few names there. But now Mrs G decided to post the pictures with names at the bar, it helps my memories a lot. Not that it matters, as I just have to remember the name of my favorite there...;)

I wasn't being serious, ML. Just having a bit of fun.
Of course, once we start visiting as much as you guys do, there will be no need. Wish I had a job like yours. Don't have an opening do you? :)

The turnover is pretty high, at least based on my rather limited visits this past year. Posting pictures and/or names is pretty useless - best to talk with one of the mamasans or directly with Mrs. G. They will always do their best to give you an honest evaluation ;)

No need for apologies of course. Joking around is what this forum thread is about I think.
Giotto is still yet to explain to me the difference between Bestards and "Bastards" but perhaps it avoids an automated rejection algorithm. Bastard is a fairly friendly term in Australia, with original meaning completely lost, but not in all countries.
BTW, Mrs G's list of names with pics sometimes gives very little clue of how to pronounce the name correctly, i.e. sometimes the spelling in English is nothing like the correct sound. I would not necessarily know the correct tone for every name and have to ask what is correct way to say it.

I will enlighten you Mick. In april of '06, Coma boy, sorely missed here in this forum since then, and I were having a bit of fun in the thread at G's expense. I mean, who wouldn't ?
Giotto posted:
"Bastards!!!
1Ball, Coma Boy,
you are bestards. Both of you!"
Giotto
Coma boy responded with
"It's spelt "bastard", you bestard!",
The expression stuck, and here we are 2 1/2 years later, with a hotel full of BESTARDS. Tansak , BTW is the resident King of Bestards.
PS. It was Coma's last post. He never logged on again. He told me privately he was bored with the forum, and was going to concentrate on his blog, which I understand is now defunct also.
May he RIP.

Collect them all...

I disagree.
I think that Giotto should issue Sport Lounge trading cards for each girl who crosses its ever-friendly threshold and plies her trade in the once-smoky lounge. That way, we punters, (and I use this term loosely), can collect them and trade them much like baseball cards are traded in America. As the girls move on there undoubtedly will be classics, Hall of Famers, Superstars, etc. For long time girls, important statistics, (e.g., # of bar fines, lady drinks, paid trips to Pattaya), can be added as a bonus to new releases.
More practically, as the years pass, it will help us to remember who we made "friends" with and where all our money went. Of course, keeping in the spirit, Giotto will collect a reasonable fee for these cards (+admin, VAT and service charge, of course). ;)

Yes, and Giotto will issue a monthly newsletter, who's in who's out and who's new, and who ring the bell, how many times?...may be not :)
I wonder if Giotto needs a few simple enhancements to his database to capture the above. Can I supply the photos?...just kidding, I don't have any...well, only a couple.

Here's a job for you when you have too much time on hand, and not busy updating the map: Make a list of Thai names for girls, how to say them, and their meaning. As everyone knows, many Thai nicknames are popular, the list will cover 90% of the girls at the LL Sports Bar, I'm sure.
Just kidding, actually I've seen one somewhere on the internet.

WTF... I take a night or two away from the computer in manila and when I get to the airport lounge I'm the king of bestards??
Oh well, who cares... a few hours to BKK... need to replenish the fluid levels and take some vitamins before arrival... Old age sucks...

And all this time I thought it was a contraction of "best hard".

Can you send me a pic of the new skinny Tansak. I'm sacred I might not recognise you. I'm also scared you might now weigh a lot less than me.
