Never had a problem with the weather except for an occasional evening shower which never lasted long. November / December is cooler. Had to give the chicas a jacket while we sat on the balcony in the evenings. Ocean is also rougher in November / December.

I'm planning to go back to Dominican Republic in February for a week. Sosua was my first trip to DR this summer and I had a lot of fun. For some strange reason most of the chicks I found attractive were from other cities like Santo Domingo. Just wished there was more to do in Sosua during the daytime. I'm trying to decide should I go back to Sosua or visit another city like Santo Domingo or Punta Cana.

Same old, same old, eat, beach, hunt for pussy outside of the confines of the resort, then sleep. Santo Domingo has museums, beaches to the east like Boca Chica and Juan Dolio, mucho chicas, but you got to know where to find action. Easy. There's plenty to do in and around Sosua. Take buses, guaguas to Puerta Plata north, or to Cabarette south. Finding things to do? Get on the internet and do the research. This is a great place to live, and visit. No shit!

If you aren't a boozer or don't have a lot of extra money for activities like scuba golf windsurfing etc. You will feel confined. I would love to bed some DR chicas. Been a while but I can't stomach sosua anymore.
If you have the money to spend I think SD might be an interesting trip. I'd like to do it myself but I am in no way willing to pay those casa prices. I could probably find something but not sure if it's worth all the SD expenses.
Punta Cana would be beautiful but I doubt it would keep you interested for that long.
The best way to do the DR IMHO (I've been told) is by renting a car or going around with guys that do have cars. 4 days here 4 days there. Visit this car wash that colmado on the dirt road. Etc. Etc.
The best time I had in the DR was in 2004 when I went on a half day ATV expedition in the mountains and beach then finished off with a BBQ. PFP was waiting for me at night in cabarete where I used to stay. That costs mucha plata now.

Not enough chicas grow up there to satisfy the thousands of mongers who visit every year. And, of the few that do grow up there, many must go to other towns to sell themselves to avoid the gaze of family and family friends.
Unless you are staying more than two weeks there is plenty to do in and around Sosúa. There is little to do at Punta Cana except have a conventional sun-and-sand holiday or hunt for over-priced pussy off campus. Santo Domingo and Santiago are a different story but you will need some Spanish.
What are the easiest and fastest ways to travel between citites like sd to sosua etc. I'm trying to plan my trip and want to know if it is easy to get between the cities. Any info is appreciated
I'm heading back to DR for a second time in February 1-19. I was thinking about flying in and staying in Santo Domingo from Feb 1-12. Then take a bus to Puerto plata and stay there from Feb 12-19.
The only thing I worry about is will I be able to get back to Santo Domingo from Puerto Plata to catch a 5pm flight on the 19th.

The buses are clean, modern and air conditioned, sometimes a little too cold, bring a sweater.

I'm planning on staying at Jaguar hotel in Santo Domingo now I will have to look for a chica friendly hotel in Puerto Plata. Blackbeards is probably my first choice, but I'm looking for other choices too. I don't know how comfortable a semi or a non pro would feel going to black beards.

Why not try the "new" FOD, I can't remember the new name off the top of my head but they were offering rooms for $60USD I think.

Suggest you buy your ticket in good time and reserve a seat if you are going to catch a plane.

Any info is appreciated[/QUOTE]Caribe Tours and Metro Bus Company are two large bus companies that serve most parts of DR. Modern buses. Both have webpages with their schedules. Santo Domingo to Sosua is probably around $10US, one way.
