I've read some quotes for 65 k for 30 minutes at energy. Today I went and was quoted 125 k for 30 minutes. Did I get overcharged? My Spanish is limited and I look like a foreigner.

It's not so much of the owners living nearby, it's neighbors (usually nosy old ladies) complaining. I've had that in three airbnb's. There are some apartment buildings with airbnb units that have a front desk like a hotel. They check all the ladies ID's and make copies.

You need to read the complete listings on airbnb. Some will be plain and say no prostitutes allowed. Others will say no sex tourism. Some will say only people listed on the registration are allowed in the apartment. In the listing, they will say that any violation of the rules will cause an immediate eviction and no refund. If the listing doesn't say anything about visitors, send a message to the owner, or agent, and ask if visitors are allowed.

You are better off if you can find a building with almost all short-term renters. Some listings will say that locals and families live in the building. That's a red flag, so stay away.

125 k is correct. For the full hour is only 150 k, same as it was when I visited two years ago. For an additional $8 USD, I can't imagine why you wouldn't want twice the time with a young Colombian lady.

I paid 150 k plus an additional 15 k for the double Scotch I ordered. There was no reason to pay for 30 minutes, unless you were planning on blowing your load in less than 30 minutes and then you felt so disgusted with yourself afterwards that you needed to split.

But, I went to Energy twice, and recommend it for the experience. You are treated more like a VIP there than a trick. The girls actually attempt a half ass massage and go through the ritual of giving you a luxury shower before and after the physical contact, as opposed a mere hygienic oriented wash down you get before and after the deed at the cheap casas. I don't think there was even a shower at Yakuza, or at least I wasn't offered one. The room at Yakuza was just a cheaply constructed box, with a mattress on the flow and no ventilation, which made it stuffy. It was fun but that did I actually needed a shower immediately afterwards.

So, sometimes you get what you pay for. And I would guess your FB contacts, which I envy, are probably a better experience and value than anything else.

I feel the same way. If you are going to pay that much you are better off with facebook. I don't personally like waiting around for facebook girls to decide to show up. I think that time is better spent building up a group of contacts who are reliable. Energy girls are generally nicer looking and always better dressed and in better rooms than Centro casa girls, but not three times better. I'm amazed how facebook girls are routinely collecting 150 K and up place whatever other fees they talk guys into paying (taxi and other bullshit). That $8 up charge and time limit is only enforced at prime time that I've noticed. When they are short on girls and heavy on punters (late in the week 3 pm or later) they will enforce the time. I guess it's worth it to enjoy the shower, sheets and larger room. You will have to pay if you want that second pop.
