Not much time to spend in Davao as the lady wants to make sure the wedding plans are a-ok. So questions.
Gyms. Wheres a good 1?
Is there anyplace you can rent a tv for a couple months. We got a house rented, has a pc, but no telly.
Dentist. Ahh nice and cheap there I hear. Can you recommend me 1.

Also, Lapu lapu Mermaid go-go Bar has moved to a new location between the new bridge and the airport. You pass it on the way from the airport into Cebu city.
I went in and they have some very good looking women there -- certainly the best bar on Mactan that I've found. I think the barfine is 3000 though.
I ended up at Ned Kelly's bar. There was one gal with hair down to her ass crack and I went for it. She asked for 2000 bar fine, but mamasan said 1,500. Girl turned out to have a stinky puss and I was happy when she decided to leave early at about 3:30am

I'll be in Cebu next week. I've made arrangements to hook up with an internet cutie I've been chatting with for a while. She lives in Dumaguete, and plans to travel to Cebu to meet me. I'm sure I'll have to pay for her transport.
She's on the trustworthy side, but I don't want her to get used to the idea of my wiring money. Is it possible to purchase a fast ferry ticket for her from Cebu? How have you guys handled similar situations?

Good question. Yes, you probably can. I know that with Superferry you can purchase the ticket and have her pick it up at the ferry terminal office from which she will depart. She pays P75 to pick up, P40 for Cebu Ferries handled through Superferry computers. You can also specify that any refund may only be made to you. I don't know about the fast ferries (Ocean Jet, Weesam) between Cebu and Dumaguete. Ask them.

Hey all- ive seen this question posted before, but no one answered it.
I'll be coming to Cebu in a few weeks, but my flight from japan lands at 2:30 am. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle that? I have a feeling that I need to pay attemntion to what hotel I get, so I know that it allows late check ins... any other advice?
You could email them and ask the same question. Cost is 550.

It would probably be about 200 if she takes a ferry across the Tanon Strait and then a bus to Cebu city. You could consider just paying her when she arrives -- assuming she can come up tith the travel money on her own.
Western Union is another idea.

This pricing is out of date. Double everything. But yes, Ceres Bus to the ferry is one of the cheaper ways to make the trip.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it. If you are prebooking a room then make sure the information is passed along about your arrival time. I kind of doubt you'll have a problem getting a decent hotel room even without booking ahead. I think a lot of flights come in at odd times to Cebu, so it's not unusual.

Ocean Jet fare is 550 to Bohol and may be slightly more to Negros.

I will be flying out of Bangkok and I was wondering if anyone knows of any direct flights to Cebu? I have checked several travel websites and all list a stop-over in Manila. Has anyone taken this route recently?
I also have not booked my Cebu hotel room yet since my exact dates have not been finalized and I am fully aware that the Sinulog festival is next week. I plan to arrive in Cebu on either the 19th or the 20th and book at the Parklane. I have searched this thread and read some posts on the Parklane and I like the location next to Ayala Center as a backup plan in case my FH contacts do not pan out.
The asiatravel website lists the Parklane as having available rooms, is it better to call the hotel direct or can I trust asiatravel? I was thinking of booking a Superior room for 4 or 5 days when FH gal#1 is with me and then switching to a boutique room on the weekend when FH gal#2 is supposed to be free.
Any thoughts?

I always use AsiaTravel and have never had a propblem, when I have changed dates etc they have responded to my emails almost immediatly and made the updates no problems at all. Normally their prices are much better than direct from the hotels but am not sure about Parklane.
Have you stayed there before? I ask becasue a friend of mine did back in Aug and quickly changed to another hotel. Not because Parklane was bad but because there was never much going on around Ayala.

I have booked the Parklane twice through Asiatravel and I also have had no problems. I would recommend the club level. My first stay was on club level and it was 10 times nicer then the regular rooms. Also, club level has free wifi.
I had good luck in the Ayala mall and I walked (daytime) from Mango street to Parklane. Very interesting walking, verus jumping into cab and flying by.

Found a little bar, past PLane,just further up the road away from Ayala, and it was quite nice. Sorry, I don't remember the name. I have it written down somewhere....I was early and it was empty, except for one fairly attractive woman. I was in the mood for San Miguel ONLY, and I assumed the gal was one of the staff or friend of the staff.
As I swallowed the last bit of refreshement and called over the waiter, she walked out. When I walked out shortly thereafter, she was in front, but nowhere near the door. I glanced over, but she was on the phone. I wasn't on high energy alert, but ATFact feeling antenna suggested that she was game.
Has anyone been in the bar past 9pm?
