Lamour is not very discrete that is for sure. There are a number of businesses around there and during the day one can feel very obvious when the car mechanics are hanging around on break. In the evening though the neighborhood is very quiet. If discretion is high on your list I recommend an evening visit.

Well, If by near you mean a solid 40 min hike then yes. In fact there is no SBahn in a position I would say is near, that is a 10 minute or ess walk. Actually nearer would be Jacob Kaiser Platz on the ring line. But that would still be a hike.

I popped into the Berlin Messe to check out the big Venus porno film trade fair last week.

There were a number of film distributors, some porno film retailers and a few sex-toy salespeople, and not much else. Most of the public interest seemed to revolve around the stage shows where 'big-name' porno starlettes were doing strip acts and lying on the stage with their legs wide apart whilst a legion of camera-wielding pervs and seat-sniffers pushed and jostled to get their Nikons as close as possible to her minge. Most unedifying.

The only thing of slight interest to me was a specialist porno film retailer who was displaying a large stock of vintage b&w porno films from the inter-war period - I was tempted to pick a couple up but didn't; now I somewhat regret it.

In short, the entire show was a total waste of time and money. Entry was 30E, which seemed excessive to me. I will certainly not be going again next year.

Sounds like nothing has changed, though it has some use as a warm up for a brothel visit afterwards. I was last there in 2005 and would imagine the show has steadily declined with all the free porn in the net nowadays. I suppose they've finally had their cum-uppance.

Across the board and as legal requirement I doubt it but am not 100% certain. This sort of info is not east to come by as a customer. There are many different venus to see wg's after all, from the street to the high brothel/FKK. I believe most of the better establishments would require a medical, which would no doubt include HIV test, to start working but do not think they are required to test regularly once they start work. Though many might well do it for themselves. And many would not. I really think the girls are much like us in this regard. They use protection but probably it differs from girl to girl just how often they go for a test.

A better question to ask yourself is how often you go get tested if you are a regular buyer of sex service. Worrying about what the other person does is pretty useless. Use condoms, practice safe procedure and you stay as safe as you can considering you buy sex.

Apparently, more regular testing for HIV is worthless because of the virus' incubation period.

I don't suppose that this makes you feel any more comfortable about this difficult issue - it certainly didn't relax me any. Best is to follow Angus' excellent advice and keep it covered whilst undertaking regular tests yourself
