Other options in Cartagena are worse value for money than LDV. LDV itself is a bit of a crap shoot. Because the chica is a complete freelancer, you have no consistency of service.

Because you often state that you're not so interested in value, more in getting what you seek with a minimum of fuss. You may want to try Isis in the old city, or Pleyboy in el Bosque.

Elektra is only good from about 3am to 4am, so you probably won't be interested in that place.

I usually pull girls out of LDV for 100k, short time. You could consider this a floor price. Sometimes I get fantastic service, sometime it's crap. All depends on attitude of the girl, chemistry and luck.

With LDV girls, I'd suggest negotiating incentives into the deal. For example, tell her you'll pay her [i]x[/i] amount for 1.5 hours. If things go well, you'll pay her a bonus and then keep her on for a further amount of time at [i]y[/i] rate, which should be a payoff so that she'll work to please you and receive it. Or tell her you'll also invite her again on another night or during the day.

Many girls are lazy and will try and weasel out of things. Once you know their playbook, you know to protect against certain things in advance. Tell them a finish time (eg. 6am), not how long you want to stay together (1.5 hours). Tell her you want to have sex several times, not just once. Make sure she doesn't have a time limit where she needs to get home to her kid.

If her friend calls her cellphone and she tells you there's "a problem" and she needs to leave. Make sure you've negotiated clearly upfront so she can leave early if she wants, but she doesn't get paid everything without service provided.

Negotiate part of the fee as flat rate and part as a tip or extra at your option. That way, if she's crap, you can just cut her loose quickly.

If you have a group of several guys in the house and money is no object, you could even take out an extra couple of girls to keep "on the bench". If your first choice doesn't work out, cut her immediately and rotate the reserve girl into the game. You're the boss, the girls want to get paid. I'm sure you can figure something out.

Let's say 100k is the minimum she will accept to drop her panties. 250k is a very good night's work. 400k she'll be bragging to her friends about what easy money she made (even if you turned her inside out).

Don't leave any money or valuables around the apartment. Don't leave your wallet out of your sight, even for a moment while you're in the shower. Be kind to the girl in what you offer, but insist on setting the rules and don't let yourself be manipulated.

If you want an Energizer girl that keeps going and going, keep her boozed up (have vodka, Red Bull, rum, coca cola in the apartment). Many of the girls take coke... she'll probably bring her own supply of that.

Myself, I can tell within 15 minutes of chatting with the chica in the club if she's a dud or if there's chemestry or not.

I always trust my instinct about the chica. If she's a dud in the club, she'll be even worse at the apartment.

I personally don't like to negotiate all the details with a chica, just kills the mood for me. If I'm not hitting it off with her in the bar, then I don't even consider bringing her home.

If you're bonding well with a chica then usually things just work themselves out. That's just me though, I'm into the schmoozing and good at it.

Others I know, like everything bargained out.

My $02: A few things...there are many chicas who go to LDV to make money from other cities and I have had great times being with them - they are a little like tourists themselves, sometimes with less experience in CTG than you. These are some of the jewels of LDV, and if you can find them, with the bucks you have, you'll make them very happy. I remember one chica I had for a couple of days...it may have been the first time she went to a real beach, she was scared of the tiny Bocagrande beach waves and couldn't stop saying 'que rico' in the water! With patience, you can find them in LDV. For example, look for the chicas that _don't_ have 'fuck-me' shoes, they're probably poorer college students on break looking to make some bucks, or giving LDV a first-time try. Remember there are pros, semi-pros and first timers in LDV. They're not all greedy coke-hos. I venture to guess that the majority of chicas in LDV are out of towners, just like us.

Some of the more experienced ladies will show you a good time also - maybe I've been lucky, but I 100% in agrement with Ricker about using one's intuition. One night in my last vaca in CTG I called over a chica who seemed to have a good heart, but something wasn't clicking. So after a drink I walked away and it really hurt her. I felt bad, but you gotta trust your instinct. One hour later I was with a more pro chica who gave me a night I won't forget.

Bottom line: taking a chica from Medellin to CTG? Like taking sand to the beach. Bottom line: those Medellin students are probably already there in LDV or the other clubs (or Monteria, Baranquilla, Cali, Bogota, etc).

Another point: Just because you have some bucks doesn't mean you should over-prepare and give up the possibility of a spontaneous experience that can blow your mind. I know you want to play the odds using $, but leave some breathing room for the unexpected.

Disclaimer: I'm not an LDV expert, been there about 10 times or so. But it's enuf to get the 'lay' of the land.

I have met a number of them in the past and hung out with them. I'm hesitant anytime anyone wants to offer me a service in CTG (or Colombia) such as finding girls. The taxis are well known for this. You'll get more experience with more travels there and start getting more comfortable doing things for yourself in the future I suspect. It's not uncommon to seek more help in the beginning.

As it looks right now, my friend and I will probably have only 1 night of true mongering freedom while in CTG, with the other nights filled with the (hopefully) lovely girls my Medellin-based friend will be bringing from Medellin. Considering the play that LDV has gotten in this forum, I feel obliged to visit there, but if we are disappointed, then taking your suggestion will be our first alternative.

By the time the airfare, commissions ect. are deducted from this service how much further ahead do you anticipate you will be? Cartagena is full of beautiful women that don't hang out in LDV or on Tony's beach. If you have any game whatsoever and can at least greet a woman in her language you should have success. If one needs to bring women to Cartagena I see no reason to leave your home country.

200,000 pesos = $112.00 dollars? When you and I first started going there 200,000 pesos was almost 200 bucks!
