Key master is right about the bars. Considering what you are paying for your room, you can well afford one of the stunners out of Viking. It's wise to bar hop early. I've seen stunners one night and then came back the next day to pay barfine, but she'd taken the "day off". Probably off to Panglao with some DOM like myself. I like to drink and am a procrastinator -- which somtimes means that around 1am I find myself settling for something less than I could have had.

As of early January, Dimples had some really nice ladies. One was just 18 and was the sweetest thing. I never barfined her though. In the past I've hated Dimples because the volume was too high to talk. It's still a bit too high, but it's better than before. An interesting thing about Dimples / Papillon is that you can move to the other bar without walking outside.

Yes I looked around yesterday for the bar and the restaurants. I found what looked to be a really good Chinese Buffet which was 400pesos for lunch and 450pesos for dinner buffet. The place looked ok, and it was full of Japanese businessmen inside. I did not actually go and look at what dishes they had but I might try it this weekend.

As for the bar I found two roof-top bars that were totally deserted. The bar facilities looked like they had not been used since New Years, and there was not one bottle to be found anywhere inside. Maybe there is a bar in tower2, but the ones in tower1 look deserted.

I checked into my corner suite this afternoon. Nice curved room, large sofa and sitting area. In room safe, large condo sized wardrobe, alot of large windows. The only downside is right outside my window they are working on the new Tower3 Crown Regency addition. Uggg, looks like sleep will be hard to come by the next few days with construction workers 80ft from my window.

One other thing I hate about the tower2 suite design is the stupid layout. I came back from SM Mall around 3pm and I go to the bell boys in tower1 to get my bags, he escorts me over to tower2, through security, and to the elevator. We go up to level 19 and check in. The girl tells me my room is on the 12th floor, so we now have to take a second set of elevators and go down several floors. To access the 12th floor you need to insert your room key in a reader inside the elevator to be able to get the elevator to stop. Guess what, my card did not work several times in the first few hours. Uugg. So now I go back up to the desk and get them to load my card again. As I stand there at the reception desk on the 19th floor, a stunning dime walks. Err. Parades past us. Both the bellhop and myself kept our eyes in tandem fully glued to her ass. He tells me she is some kind of beauty queen, and I am sure she at the beck and call of some Japanese businessman. They seem to be everywhere in this place. I smile and say she's what I came to cebu for. So he offers his services in anything I require. I play dumb since the girls at the front desk are all ears. Once in the room I get the low-down and his cell# in case he can indeed provide me with dimes like her. I know we have all heard the bellhop routine before, but in the past I have found that bellhops sometimes have more connections than the hotel manager.

So Friday night has come and gone and I spent a few hours at the Silver Dollar. First impressions: decent setting, really agressive bar girls, not alot of quality girls.

Decent Setting. The bar is litterally right outside the Crown Regency Hotel on Osmena Boul. It has this old wood and smoke feel that many hole-in-the-wall bars have. Small booths, the old assorted stains, the bad lighting. You know, what the bars in North America used to look and feel like before they banned smoking inside. The place itself is pretty small, mostly bar stools spread out up against a thin stage that spans one side of the bar, but it gets the job done.

Agressive bar girls. These bar girls smelled fresh meat the moment I walked through the curtain and took the first open bar stool. 5 of them jumped up and down and started to shout all kinds of things at me. "What's your name". "Do you want to buy me a drink" and on and on it went. Bar girls are bar girls I guess the World over, but these seemed fairly agressive and would pull out almost every text book approach. One really agressive girl was called "Rain". She was super-super agressive and would not leave me alone. I knew the deal and played along, and answered alot of the standard form questions in order. Name, rank, serial number, where you stay, how many days you here, ect ect. Very agressive BG's in my books always tended to be alot more show and alot less go once the deal has been sealed, but Rain seemed fun and so I played along. There was one girl named "Daphenie" (sp) which stood out. She seems honest and nice, I considered barfining her right then and there as she rode my leg and looked at me with deep brown eyes, but my FH freebie had the same kind of thick waist type so I was looking for something a little smaller.

One appealed to me and I called her over but when she told me she was 27, I backed away, too old for my quest that night. I had my hand around her waist and some drunk dude down the bar who was frowning at me for awhile came over and he started to shout at the BG. He was German and he called her all kinds of names, not sure about most but he was not a happy camper. I watched in the mirror on the stage what this dude was doing behind me but I did not want to turn around unless he got physical. I outweighed him by 40lbs I'm sure and by half a foot and 20yrs, but there are no winners when you get involved in jealousy over BG's. Besides the guard has a gun. LOL. He calmed down and while the girl was shaken she seemed ok and everything was back to normal within a minute or so.

"D" looked very good to me, but she looked even better once she quoted me a rather low BF, and that price was only after she said "up to you". I got a bad vibe and backed off somwewhat then some regular came in and I watched out of the corner of my eye as she executed the very same set of tactics. A bar girl is a bar girl is a bar girl. Too bad, she seems like some serious GFE, just what I was looking for if she was smaller.

Not alot of quality girls. This point is strictly YMMY. What I consider a 10, someone else would rate a 5, so to each his own. In my book there was a few nice girls, but not too many. In fairness I only went around 9:30pm so maybe the best ones had already been BF'ed. The BF here is 700pesos no matter what time you take the girl.

I have to say Hello, to Pat from Orange County California. I sat down next to him and we chatted off and on all night. Good guy, 60 yrs old with a pension and he is 5 months in the PI and head over heals for a BG. Good luck Pat, even if you don't know what the heck ISG is.

So I struck out, went home empty handed, but this will be the first night since my trip to Asia began some dozen or so days ago that I will have an empty bed, and I need the sleep. Well back in the saddle in what is the probably the most romantic city in the phil with beaches mountains shopping go gos fine eateries and easy to get around taxi who dont rip u off 96 out of 100 and more importantly a place still large enough to date several women at one time....

with no plans to be back in the frigid homeland until may one can easily settle into a nice lifestyle here in cebu as tourist albeit whorist

some new highlights: asia it park the village just across waterfront for eateries 24 hour and normal it ladies who might be a little stuck up

julianas in mangos obviously now wins over pump 1 and sunflower most days of the week for a person who wants his meat the old fashioned way - lol - very few normal ladies der sunflower would have a higher ratio

just a few new bars , few new hotels nothing really new here excpet prices are outrageous for both hotels and gro's in cebu for the quality one can get in thailand or angeles for that matter for the gro's

alas fh and dia provides an abundance of ladies willing to hook up for casual dates but i am kind of getting tired of talking about myself but some have somethings to say

the big news is the terraces at ayalla plenty of eye candy and tgif would be the best location after 7pm or ground zero for a better word

i dont really like the fuente scene and hang at ayalla waterfront citigym and asia it park

fav bars would be lonestar

visited gate 3 decent quality to be had with balikbayan rates of 2500 p for short time they start at 3000 beats banilads jaguar and cheetahs

stopped by badgers for a drink and omlette - has ambiance but not much to offer except retired gros with bf's or a sponsor

will be revisiting egypt and bounty and the new mermaid and other sundry bars but just for a drink

did have a chatmate working silver dollar and passed some dirty water and enjoy the ambiance there - yes they are a bit rough but prices are probably lowest and location is best besides colon which reminds me of something cooking gtg

I scratched out a map for those of you who are planning a pub crawl. Lone Star and Temptation are both worth a visit, but are easily missed if you didn't already know where they are. Silver Dollar and Geckos are the only two that are open early. I think the rest open at 8pm.

You can easily hit all these places on foot. The walk to Lone Star is dark and there are a lot of homeless families on the west side of the supermarket.

Geckos (opens 11 am) on the map is more of a expat bar with friendly bartenders which you cannot take out of the bar. There was a very cute 18yr old virgin there last time I visited. It's a good bar for information and cold beer without some bar girl hanging all over you.

Gen. Maxilom Avenue is usually called Mango Ave.

I took a walk after dark last night around the block and just as I was passing the gogo club Thunderdome I looked up to the back of the Crown Regency hotel and there was a rather large blue sign you were asking about. The one that says "Club Ultima". That's the name of the Crown Regency time-share raquette they tried to push on me and every other hotel guest. From what I understand the highest floors of tower2 are reserved for Club Ultima members. I see no need to buy when I can rent both my bed and the girl(s) in it IMHO. lol. I think this pyramid scheme is mostly aimed at Japanese businessmen that seem to love this place.

My question is about laundry. WHen on your holidays, where do you get it done at? My last trip when I was based out of manila, I couldn't really suss it out and ended up having it done in the hotel. Which cost me over $20 usd. I understand that thats not alot of money really, but it was barley one load.

So any advice on that?

If you are walking and Black Hole is on your right side, Vikings and BG's and the other club aren't much further down the street. You might have to walk past a vacant lot but it's real close. I wouldn't bother with a taxi from there. Once you are there, there are some more clubs across the street from there. Definitely check out Vikings and BG's over there.

There is a place that most taxis drivers do not know of....it is about 10-12 minutes from the Mango bar area. My taxi driver had to ask half a dozen other guys and other taxi drivers over about 20 minutes.

Honquera is a concrete walkway between a block of buildings. It is about 20 feet wide, and there are numerous stalls, tiny little shops, people selling trinkets and snacks, etc.

The end of it abutts to the side of a paved road. The second you get out of the car, you WILL be swamped with half a dozen pimps, and behind them, about 10 girls. There are about 75 girls walking around this place.

I told the guys right away that i was just looking and wanted to find out about it, and for fun, I walked the length, 10 mins each way, about 4 times, and by about the 4th time, they gave up on me. I usually stay at the Midtown Hotel in Cebu city and used to have laundry done by the hotel. In by 9a, back by 5 or 6pm, usually. Charges are steep and really add to your bill. So, when you go out to the back street (Ramos), turn right, go down to Raintree Mall, and near the gunshop you will find a laundry. Is right next to a money changer with good rates also. They will do your laundry in 1-2 days, but be sure to tell them if you want shirts ironed and on hangers. Same with pants. Same services are all over in Manila, if in Malate I use the one at 1647 Adriatico St., The Fabulous Laundry. If you stay at Las Palmas they will deliver the laundry to your room.

Much cheaper to have laundry done on the outside, because they charge by the pound (or kg) and not the piece. (Maybe the BGs should do that?)

Hawaii, I've used the same place and they delivered to the Holiday Plaza (lobby - not the room). And if you want a rush job, just pay more -- it's still far cheaper than the hotel fees.

Ask your concierge to send them out for you. MIne in the Crown Regency would call his sister, she would come and collect, wash tem and he would return the next day. COst about 15% of the hotels charge. I would always give him a 100 or 2 extra for the great service.
