Unless my research is wrong, these areas have a significant amount of pickpocketing, theft, and robberies. Several sources on a simple Google search even point to how these crimes in Poblado & Lleras have increased due to criminals specifically targeting affluent gringos in these areas.
I'm sure these areas are still much safer than Centro, but take care in these nicer areas as well.
Also, I'm still not convinced that Centro is significantly more dangerous this year. Could the statistics involve the rival-gangs at an increased war with each other? Maybe some of you Centro vets can chime in on what you're seeing on the Centro streets lately.

That price of 200 k is not on the low-end of FB pricing.

After dark, I would be taking a cab through Centro and anyplace in MDE I was unfamiliar with, anyways. I did walk through Centro early in the evening once, but I quickly realized it was a mistake and walked double time to the San Antonio Metro Stop, just like a Tall Man like myself can do really well.

"There were nine reported homicides of foreigners in Medelland in 2016. We'll look at these in detail to demonstrate that a majority of foreigner homicides in the city tend to be the result of resisting robberies or being involved in shady activities.
On June 4, Mexican national Jess Estrada de La Rosa, aged 48, was shot dead in Beland when he reportedly tried to prevent the theft of a motorcycle in the LOS Alpes barrio.
June 15, Israeli Shay Azran, aged 37, was killed with a firearm near the Exito in Laureles. He was allegedly involved in drug and sex tourism according to news reports.
June 16, Danish Tomas Willemoes, aged 41, was shot to the head in Provenza near Parque Lleras in El Poblado at about 9:30 pm. News reports claim this was a murder for hire so it may have involved shady activities.
September 29, the body of Australian Anthony Hasselback, aged 49, who was living in El Poblado was found along a road with two shots to the head in the municipality of Santo Domingo in Northeastern Antioquia. News reports claim he was involved in sex tourism.
November 19, Ryo Izaki, a 22-year-old Japanese man was shot dead in Estadio on a Saturday at about 4 pm after chasing a pair of suspects who had allegedly taken his mobile phone and tablet.
December 3, a Venezuelan member of the LBGT community was murdered who reportedly had sentimental problems.
In December, the body of a 23-year-old Dutch man was found in Laureles. News reports indicate that on December 10 this backpacker had a discussion with a woman and was shot.
December 14, American Jigar Patel from Illinois was attacked by a knife and killed in the barrio Miranda north of Medellin by two assailants.
On December 16, a body of a man from Dominica was found buried in a wooded area of 8203;the Santa Elena district. He was reportedly kidnapped from a shopping mall in El Poblado in October. News reports indicate this homicide was related to the collection of money by drug trafficking networks."

If the violent crime rate is up because of gang activity, this directly affects you if you A. Are a gang member, or decide to start your own gang in Medellin, be. If you are trying to become a major drug dealer in Medellin or see. If you decide to go looking for gang members to pick fights with. If you meet any of these conditions, it doesn't matter if you are in El Centro or El Poblado. If you don't meet any of those conditions your basic risk remains the same as it was last year, whether you are in El Centro or El Poblado.

Seemingly, they've got half the girls in Colombia on their list. Speaking of which, are the girls just in Medellin or from all of Colombia? It seems like quite a valuable resource, but one I would probably just use when in a pinch.

She said I would have to send her my address and then she would send the girl through uber, so I guess she is some sort of middle man pimp. She sends lots of pictures of girls in a group chat with a bunch of other people in it. If you ate interested in a girl you send the picture of her to her privately. I don't know if she is dependable or might bait and switch as I have not used her.
