I see more girls on the streets just walking around then in the past from 10 am on. I am being told they have not been getting work they need. At night Bourbon street bar has become the center hangout for guys. They have something close to soul food including sweet potatoe pie. The food is good and girl come there and post as they did in Rumbas just not the numbers. The action is more chaotic and the girls more desperate. I am seeing many regulars with a few new ones in the mix. It is low season early in the week. Once Rumbas is back I think it is business as usual.

Lots of towns that have a unique cultural history of being settled by Jewish refugees after World War II.

Sosua as a prostitution destination is on its last legs. The writing has been on the wall for a while. Just 2 months ago I surrendered the keys of my condo in Sosua and sold my DR- made furniture, having maintained a DR home for more than 5 years continuously. Probably I will not be back there again.

Sosua used to be fun when it was all bachata and meringue, until the so-called "wolfpacks" took over the nightlife. Everything became a bit uglier and more in your face. A lot of people came down just to get drunk and fuck girls, and while there was always that before, there were more tourists who were interested in ongoing relationships, the local culture, food, and music, learning the language, and so on. Many retired to the area, or took girls away to Canada, Europe, and elsewhere. Sosua was a great place to go to relax for a few days.

Kinda like a destroy and rebuild, but again I could care less. Cuba is opening up very soon and after the Olympic bust is finish Brazil we be back too what it use to be, those 2 countries will keep me busy.

It's like Revere said, if you expand your horizons the entire island is open to you. Or to use Tony Montana's phrase, the place is "One big pussy waiting to be fucked. ".

I already mentioned in another post (Gogo's forum) that the game has moved to online for a long while now. I get slammed with so many messages when I log into DC that I have to log out after 5 minutes, LOL! Do you know how awesome that is? To have women hounding you and slamming your inbox the same way thirsty dudes bombard the inbox of American Women in the US? You can be a superstar just about anywhere outside of the US.

I also experienced Sosua between '08-'10 timeframe. It was much more subtle and the women were hotter. 2010 was when the Wolfpack types started catching on to the place and word was getting out. My 2012 trip was a huge disappointment in terms of the quality and atmosphere there. That was my last time going.

If you are smart you will use Sosua to your advantage in the near future. It has an awesome beach there. Invite a lady friend or two to come and visit you from a neighboring town and enjoy your vacation.

In fact, there are several obscure Caribbean coast towns on the strip of coastline between international airports servicing Santo Domingo and La Romana. This would be a good place to look. Or, go to Rio, Cartagena, Pattaya, Sihanoukville (Cambodia), or Bali. All of these are have well-documented p-4-p and meet some or all of the qualifications. (They all have beaches.) It's a big world for mongering. Too big to be sad about one town dying. We're on ISG, it's very possible to click in these other forums and find out that there are other places to go besides Sosua.

You may be right about the prostitution bit. But, you can't have it both ways. If a guy is interested in building relationships, food, local culture, language, etc, then things haven't changed. All that happened was that one point-and-click venue is now much less point-and-click. The mongers who are missing out are the guys like me. I love point and click in a lounge / club environment, and I have zero interest in forming a long term relationship. However, if a guy wants a relationship, he can go on DominicanCupid and find a semi-pro who would love to give him GFE for a weekend or week.

You just have to work with that, or around that. Especially if you want them to make your bed, do your laundry, and smile at you all day with awed reverence, as one of our vets recently put it.

If you don't like bars, alcohol, or alcohol induced merriment, you are eliminating one of societies safe, great and easy venues for conversing with strangers (and picking up girls, and even hearing that same bachata played over and over and over...........) :)

Rumbas, Classicos, D'Latins, New Garden, etc. All you see are the faces of the owners. But you better believe they are kicking up a portion of their earnings to shadow players behind the scenes to continue to operate. Say what you want about the Wolf Pack/Weekend Ballers, but those dudes roll in and drop HUGE sums of cash over a short span of a few days (hotel rooms, those makeshift VIP Sections in Classicos, buying lots of bottles of alcohol, spending lots of money in the restaurants in the vicinity, etc), and there are others behind the scene getting a piece of this monetary action.

That is why I don't believe you guys should get all spooked about the real estate developments popping up. The one thing multinational companies or foreign entities HATE is to pay a bribe or extortion fees (or, in street slang, "being taxed"). I work for a very large multinational corporation, and we are set up in such that we would slit our collective throats before we paid out a bribe to "move things along. " Before the players behind the scenes just discard a place like Rumbas or Classicos, they are going to want to have something to replace that kickback cash flow. If those real estate developers are deciding they don't want to play ball, expect any transformation to happen a lot slower and places like Rumbas and Classicos to remain around much longer.

These type of people (most likely paid consultants for the multi national or foreign entity) like to show dazzling slide shows about how the local economy will grow and how jobs will be added, like they are trying to sell the idea to a local US Congressman. The local Dominicanos running the show behind the scenes don't care about none of this shit; they want to know how much they will be getting from this action and how long it will take for the action to start flowing into their pockets.

These club closings because they "don't have a license to operate" are just money shakedowns. It happens all the time in places like the Termas in Rio, and they re-open within a week or two (except for Help Disco: they weren't fucking around with wanting that place shut down, LOL).

If you have no concept about how things of this nature truly operate, just watch a few episodes of the Sopranos and multiply what you are seeing times 5 considering we are talking about a 3rd World Country as opposed to the US.

The weekend wolf pack (Black guys) bring major cash into Sosua every weekend and are the lifeline for Sosua currently, kill that life line and it cripples Sosua tremendously.

The US embassy can only inquire and defer their finding to other agencies to work in for a conclusion, you give the US embassy too much credit. For instance: If you an American citizen make a complaint to the US embassy they can inquire to the Dominican authorities that they have a complaint and await a response. That response determines if a US citizen has had his rights violated and can pass on an investigation to the State department or the DEA, depending on which agency they deem should investigate. If the Dominican authorities make a complaint the US embassy can work with that agency to conduct an investigation. They are basically piggy backing the local investigation. This leads me to ask why the local authorities didn't handle the investigation and arrest the perpetrators? I can't believe a trick who got caught stealing and was assaulted could trigger a shut down in Sosua. We have seen Dominicans do this repeatedly with the Haitians when they need a " Fall guy".

The Dominicans want the wolf packs out of Sosua so the big money developers will be happy and can implement their plan.

From 3 to 7 chicas were being arrested if caught on the strip alone. I sat with friends in our spot across the street from Rumbas. The girls were in hiding. Bourbon ST is very popular spot for guys and girls. The food is wonderful and the location perfect. Classicos was looking normal except it closed at 12 am and by 12:15 everything was shut down. Will things get back to normal no one knows. At about 7 pm a white Dominican with his wife and daughter walked down the middle of the street with no putas in sight. I think a message was being sent. We are taking back our streets.

I picked a loser last night. She was young and attractive but tried the old bate and switch. I gave her the normal rate and kicked her out. To make up for it I did a 3 some that was excellent.

First, people are right he did not really hit her to us, but that is all semantics to us what they see is not what we see. You cannot justify it. What moron would then put that on world star hip hop for the world to see as if to brag about their exploits.
