So last year I got a Thai esim and when I arrived I activated it. Then while in Thailand I created a new Line account using the Thai number. I did this to avoid any issues of Line detecting my location on setup. So now I can add another line account any way that I need.
This seems like a good idea, but I have some questions. Were you able to put 2 line accounts on the same smartphone? How did that work? Two separate copies of the Line App? Is there a way to define separate Line users using the same copy of the Line App? (2) Did you find a way to merge all your old Line contacts into the new Line account?
I have a Thai friend who has 2 copies of Line on her phone, one is personal and the other is corporate. She doesn't know how her corporate IT added the business Line to her personal phone.

Beware of scam!
I subscribed to ThaiFriendly. The amount was deducted from my credit card through Google Play. ThaiFriendly gave me no membership though.
SCAM!
My advice is: DON'T subscribe to this app!
Yes I have two line apps on my phone, also two Whatsapp apps. They work independently and I know of no way to run two accounts on one app.
There a couple of ways to do this. You can have two users on the phone and each user can install their own apps. However you then need to log out one user and switch to the other to get access to the other app.
A better way is to use an app that installs multiple versions of an app. Many Samsung phones have this option and a few other manufacturers do too. It is limited to a few apps for chats.
If your phone does not have this then you can install an app that supports this. I use a tool called Island which creates a work and personal profile, you put your second version of an app into the work profile.
No, I can't find a way to merge my contacts, I wish I could so I would not need to keep two accounts. One idea I had that I have not tested is to create my own personal line group, add my old and new accounts and all my contacts to the group so that they can be accessed from both accounts. Once both accounts see all the users then they can be added as friends.

to her personal phone.
Running copies of an app in android is part of the functionality in later versions, but it's not accessible to users, that's why you need an app to get it to work or the manufacturer fix. Her IT may have access to tools that support this.
Thanks for your outlined solution. I have iPhone, so it's a bit different. I'll start digging soon and then try to get it to work when I return to Thailand next month.
I already had one false start with an app called "Line 2", which seems to have nothing to do with the Line App that we all use.

Current Pricing
What are new subscribers currently paying for premium? My annual subscription just expired so I received an upgrade request when I opened the app. When I clicked the link the only option was for a monthly auto renewing subscription for 799 baht. That's $25 a month or $300 a year. For the past 7 years my annual subscription has been $99.

They keep telling me I am upgraded to premium. Yet I need to wait for 10 minutes before messaging again. Is that Premium?

ThaiFriendly are even worse than I thought. They send me a "support" mail saying "You have paid for the premium plan on your account (username: FatouXX). Now I had no idea who owned this female sounding Fatou username, but I tried logging in with that username all the same.
I got a login code after entering that username and lo and behold, I got in! Got in what? Got into the account of that Fatou woman. I could see all the men Ms. Fatou was in contact with.
So Thaifriendly had my e-mail linked to FatouXX's account and they credited my Google Play payment to FatouXX's account.
Great job ThaiFriendly!
Do any of you guys know whether Tinder is any good in Thailand? I used Tinder in Thailand for a while some years back. I don't remember how good or bad it was.

I finally got a knowledgeable e-mail from support about my subscription.
The trick was to open the app with my ThaiFriendly account, go to ACCOUNT, then to RESTORE PURCHASES. It worked, apparently implementing my Google Play purchase into the app. This had of course to be done while logged in to the Google account through which I purchased the subscription.

Some considerations
From now on I'll pass on any girl who quotes 1500 baht as asking price. Any half-way decent-looking girl in Thailand these days values herself at no less than 2000. Note that though 25% cheaper than a 2000 girl, a 1500 girl is way over 25% less good-looking. I'd say not a single 1500 girl is a 7. She is at most a 6.
The younger the girl, the more truthful her advertised age. Girls above 30 advertise ages that are off by ten years (34 years old = 44). No girl between 40 and 50 is less than 50.

I don't remember whether there was the option to pay less by purchasing one year upfront.

If you are in Bangkok or Phuket, then I agree with you. But in Pattaya many sevens, or even higher, are quoting 1500 baht. (Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder.).

One of the reasons that I prefer girls in the advertised age range of 18 - 25.

Another thing
I am also going to pass on girls who send me composite pictures on LINE before we potentially meet, asking me: "this is me, are you ok"? The pics usually show several instances of some part of the body while carefully hiding some other part (eg lower body never visible). Those girls know they look much worse in the flesh than on their TF profile, so they want me to commit to a carefully crafted composite pic in order for the blame being on me if I am badly disappointed as soon as I see them. They know what they're doing allright. All the customers of such girls are one-off customers. One-off customers as a business model works here because Pattaya has hordes of men with blue balls.
