That night hit the club at the Hotel, Porte de Colombia has no night life at all, but the Hotel not bad if you are just kicking back, they play typical Colombian music with some Bob Marley thrown in!
The next day my chica hooks me up, with a manicure, pedicure and facial!
Hit the mall and this is the first time that I noticed, Colombian women can wear the hell out of a pair of jeans! I swear they look as if they are painted on!
That night we hit this kind of outdoor cafe beer bar, $4.30 for six beers, god I love this place!
The rest of my report is just how I boned my girl, sorry not much (ANY) monger reports, just some insight on the Colombian culture and how their women take care of their men! The one thing I can report is that again I got checked out by a lot of chicas, right in front of my girl!

I just booked a flight for Barranquilla Carnival Feb23-->march5 And finding a place to stay is becoming a real challenge. Outside of peter solano, i really dont know who to turn to. Is there any of you "Pro's" out there that can help a guy out. Im basically tryin to rent an apartment for a week, or find a hotel that has not been completely booked.
I am willin to pay the five star price, including the extra fee's. I jus need the security in knowing i have a "solid" R.S.V.P. thanks any help is appreciated.

In Brasil, I would travel to cities on buses all day discovering diff neighborhoods and never had a problem.
I would take buses from city to city at night with no robbery for 9 yrs.
I guess I should change my behavior or it will be forced upon me.

When i was in Barranquilla it was everything is closed. The Lucidania only had opened at the first day when I was in Barranquilla. 30. 12. last year.
I was in the Hotel Barranquilla Plaza. Not bad. Enotheca is 100m from the hotel. I think it is first class. Every evening are 4 nice and young chicas looking (working) at my table. The cuisine is realy very good. the people from the restaurant did like me, because an Central European can speak Spanish.
No Fing way I would do that. Aside from FARC roadblocks and theft by other passangers, there is the HIGH risk of accidents and a grueling ride even if you make it without incident. I will put up with Avianca (or Aerorepublica) any day instead.
I took a night bus from Santa Marta to Medellin and what a trip. Two hours out of Medellin somebody shit themself and sprayed everywhere in the toilet. Fuck it stank and guess where the gringo was sitting? Yep next to the toilet. We got transfered to another bus not much better than a chiva. Another trip Medellin-Pereira some dickhead puked his guts out next to me and there wasn't another seat empty for me to move to.
I don't mind taking a bus but now I look for the best most expensive line. Keeps the rif-raf out and the coaches are comfy and new.
If my time was limited I would fly for sure but when I go to Colombia I am usually there for 3 months and I am trying to economise a bit.

Barranquilla is very big, lots of appartments and places (also in the safe area's) or even a few miles out of town. Ningun problemas to find yourself a residencia for the hottest party of the year in BAR.
