Bangkok is loaded with beautiful women, and many of them are P4P at some level. The standard of beauty here is very high, so a true stunner might be like one of the reception girls at Terminal 21 or some of the bank reception ladies around town, drop dead and except for height might for example blend in with finalists in a Ms Universe contest. Those types are everywhere here, but far less common in London or New York City.

Sometimes applying western standards i might call a mere pretty girl a "stunner". However I assume by "right before" you mean a day or two before the Feb 2 elections (which by the way have to be redone anyways) , and by "after" you mean a few days thereafter? That was just a blip and the underlying situation is not improving with PDRC leaders now being arested for violating the emergency decree. IF the situation remains at least stable, (minimal levels of violence, tourists not targeted) you are better off in Bangkok, and that's because the availability of beautiful women will be higher than normal. Or perhaps you like women with fun personalities, whatever your preference, all things equal more of those will be available. They just can't all up and leave and go to Pattaya or Phuket, most will have to deal with this market.

On the ground, things are pretty much normal for tourists, except of course key intersections are blocked with encampments, for example Asoke and Siam being 2 major ones, and you will notice an increased police presence everywhere (Army officers also at various locations). However, the economy is getting hit very hard, so its hard to see how things can remain stable as people are going to get increasingly frustrated.

As far as mid April, given the security situation in Bangkok, I just don't see how the usual water antics are going to be business as usual. Note police are lined up every day now on Sukhumvit protecting major buildings etc, so the usual antics with the water its probably not going to be the same, and I can't see how its going to happen at the tent cities that have been set up. Although I guess maybe everyone just takes a few days off from the protest or something. Its hard to figure really but Thais of course do have a great sense of humor and seem to adjust to things quite rapidly.

Day 3.

Woke fairly late, much later than I had planned. As I had arranged for late check out, around 2:00pm, I thought I would give a MP a go before leaving for the airport.
