If you are reliable and keep your promises to her, she will stick around as long as the money is there. Unless you are a complete dufus. You have to keep in mind that probably 90% or more of girls in countries like El Salvador will wind up dating native men. And local men tend to have just as little money as the women do, with exceptions being relatively rare. So being able to provide her significant financial support goes MUCH further than having an impressive physique or a charismatic demeanor. She can find plenty of good looking and charming local guys who are financially broke.

If she's in an impoverished country and already has money, then the situation changes entirely. In that case you are probably just wasting your time. If she already has money, then the only way I can see it working is if she spent an enormous amount of time around you under coincidental circumstances. Let's say that you both were selected for a community project to help build a school, and it's going to take 10 months. If she spends day in and day out, hanging around you under organic conditions, then she will learn more about you regardless, and decide for herself whether she likes you. But if you approach someone like this in a cafe, and she already has money, then you have nothing special to offer her as a foreigner. You would just be one more prospect in an entire country full of guys.

Granted Latin American women tend not to be snob nosed idiots the way that American women are. I still wouldn't rely in their initial openness as some sort of magic bullet that's going to guarantee a long term relationship, unless you have some way of convincing them that you are a good fit, just like any other woman. And for women who spend 50+ hours a week or more working for peanuts, money is the easiest way to get your foot in the door. It might not be the only long term anchor, but it may be the initial starting point, and you can see if anything legit evolves from there.
