The police were simply there to check to see if the girls were ladies who could legally work in Hong Kong and not just "tourists" from mainland China making a buck. Not only do the cops check the sauanas, KTV's, massage parlours of Mong Kok and the discos in Wan Chai but they stop people on the street to ask for passports and HKID cards all the time. They also visit lower class office buildings from time to time to make sure that the people working in them can legally work in Hong Kong. It was a simple immigration check and not targeted at any of the guys at 37 Dundas. It is no different than a hotel in the US being spot checked to see if they are empolying illegal immigrants. If you are in Hong Kong long enough you will witness one of these events regardless of whether it is with working girls or not. It is very rare that a Westerner is asked to produce ID but it does happen from time to time if someone is looking rather dodgy.

I had a similar experience at Dundas 1 year ago. 2 police officers checked Dundas and asked all girls for their ID cards.

They weren't interested in the guests, even didn't ask me for my passport.
The entire action was over almost as soon as it started. I waited for the line up, when the officers entered Dundas. It was a little bit surprising and confusing for me, but at least I didn't care too much.

The girls appeared some minutes later, standard procedure like always.

I felt always safe in Hong Kong (and do it today), I would be more concerned in USA when police officers enter such a scene.

As always, I have a few more specific questions for the kindhearted or willing.

I’ll only be in HK for a very short time, so I need to be efficient. I like the idea of being able to spend time with a gal or a few before deciding on one (or two for the night), so one of the previously described clubs or karaoke places sound interesting. Can anybody recommend a few high end places where many of the ladies speak English? Are the ones Rick Hunter's Distinction report the best to visit or are there others? I will be going alone and in HK for first time.

Since I am there for short term, I feel I need to bite the bullet and pay more upfront for quality, I. E. When in Thailand for a very short time, I just go to a supposedly higher end club like Pegasus.

As others have asked, are there any good HK based, higher end escort services that are reliable etc?

I will be staying at either the 4 seasons or the peninsula. Any issues with ladies visiting either of these places? What are the odds that the concierge at one of these places being able to hook me up or set me on my way?

On my last trip back home, I stopped over in India and spent a good long time there. I saw a lot of very attractive Indian girls in Bangalore, but, most of them are not available for services.

For high end KTV with international gals (even some from Russia), you can go to KTV Boss in Kow Loon. The price there is a bit steep but you can be sure that you get a very good quality of gals.

4 seasons and peninsula are high class hotel so you won' t have any problem to bring gals back.

I haven't been back to KTV Boss for almost 10 yrs but at that time the cost for take-out what roughly HK2500. I had a few clients, we had a couple of drinks, 4 or 5 girls sit with us for a few hours and the total bill was just under US$1000.

As far as the girls, mostly filipino speaking english and a few local HK gals...but maybe that's because my clients were all laowai?

Spent 2 nights in Hong Kong after 5 days in Guangzhou on business (and a little pleasure.). Stayed at the Hotel Mira on Nathan Road. Outstanding 5 star, 'high tech' hotel. That is girl friendly! They even offer a PC with HS Internet at no extra charge so that you can check for 141 updates before the evening entertaainment! It is in TST. About 8 blocks from the YS locations, 3 blocks from the Kowloon clubs, and very close to the metro for trips to WC.

Anyway. Got in around 5 PM Wednesday night the 8th. And had a list of 141 girls to call. But decided to check for Updates (top menu bar). To help improve the odds of success. Found 4 that I liked that had updated in the past 2 days in TST in the Hotel Reservation section. Called the first one around 10- and success! Talk with the man on the phone. Offered for her to come visit my hotel. And it seemed convenient. She arrived about 15 minutes later (a call from the lobby from the bellman. But no other hassle). And she was just like advertised. 5'6", 34 C, slim, great body, very limited english, but enough to get things started. First the shower. And she was very thorough with the wash. And then down to business. Nice kissing & body exploring on both parts, covered BJ, a couple of positions. And about 90 minutes later, she was getting up to leave. Very relaxing & enjoyable. Total damage 700 HKD plus 100 for the cab. Nice kiss to end. And off to bed. Overall great experience.

Thursday, went out around 11. Stopped at Hi (see earlier report). And then onto Trafik (via the metro). Very easy to find, about 3 blocks north of Wai Chai metro stop. This place was ELECTRIC! Walked in and it was smaller than expected, but still probably 40 woman. And most under 25. Multiple nationalities as mentioned earlier. In the corners. Started at the bar with a beer. And hit the 4 corners. New it was going to be a good night. Stopped in the mens room. And on the way out. Met 2 girls from the Phillipines. About 5'3", slim, nice tits, great English. And talked/danced for about 1/2 hour. Bought each a drink (130 HKD for the 2). Some more conversation & dancing. And then they sunk the hook. 2000 HKD for the 2 for 2 hours in my hotel. Told them I had 1500. And after a while they agreed. So off to my hotel again. This time by cab. 74 HKD to the door and again no problem at the hotel. Got to the room & it was incredible. The obligitory shower (good fun! ). And about 2 and 1/2 hours & multiple pops later (3:30 AM). Relectantly said goodbye. First 3 some. And it was incredible. Damage was 1700 HKD (did break down & give a tip). But it was very enjoyable.

Overall. A great place to go. A little expensive for ASIA, but safe, and more than the mechanical saunas in China.

I'm a frequent visitor to HK, and I am actually HK born. I often get charged an entrance fee whenever I goto Makati, Neptune, Laguna. They are often nasty to me, but yet foreigners walk right in without paying. Does anyone know why they don't like locals going the bars?

Just to give you a heads up on Rick Hunters original posting and Le Lichours follow up.

Anyway, curiosity got the better of me and I went Easter Sunday to the Paris Night Club in Hilton Tower in TST East.

It is pretty much as Rick and Le Lichours reported:

I am a foreigner and speak basic Cantonese, but even without a word of Cantonese it is not a problem at all.

I went quite early at 6. 00pm, was greeted and sat in a room. The manager came and explained the score.

(a Japanese guy named Mr. Min).

580 to sit and drink as much as you like.

580 to take the girl out.

The rest you have to deal with the girl.

Just to fill you in again. This is for Cha Mo. Tea Dance and the prices will be higher later.

Now they brought me a very lovely HK girl, which was a 9. Really very very sweet looking!

So we drank a bit and off we went.

The deal was 1500 for the girl plus 230 for 2 hours in the hotel.

However as sweet looking as she was her service was not so fantastic. There was not deep french kissing. Which I do not really mind. But she was not too keen on 69. Which I did mind.

Would only do one shot and was keen to finish the session after one shot and a massage. After 1+ hour.

All in all

So all in all it was not really a very good GFE which for the money spent would have to be expected!

During the Easter weekend and the following week Wanchai was absolutely dead. Fenwicks is no more, Neptunes, Big Apple and the like had a dearth of talent. I only found one Flipper as a take out in Neptunes. She was very sweet and enthusiastic, but looks only a 6-7.

There are two main reasons for it, and these are both generalizations.

The first is most of the girls going to those bars tend not to like local Chinese or Indian guys, partially because they can tend to be very grabby, and if the girls go elsewhere then so does all the bars business.

The second is many of the local Chinese or Indian guys who would want to go to the discos are cheap charlies and do not spend any money and they are not the type of cliental the discos want.

Of the discos you named Makati on week nights would have the most Chinese guys there and the most girls who do not mind Chinese guys.

These are generalizations and yes they are racist but they are the reasons. Most well to do local Chinese would never set foot on Lockhart road as they view it as a place just for expats. I find it extremely difficult to get any of my Chinese friends to go to Wan Chai, they would much rather be in Lan Kwai Fong, Causewaybay, Tsim Sha Tsui or Mongkok.

Which places do your buddies like to go to in Cwb or Mongkok? I've heard of places in Prince Edward Road, any experience? Would love to hear your comments.

The simple answer is that they want to discourage locals to go there! Why is that? It is because if a foreigner male go there and picks up a foreign woman, what ever happens between them is NOT a local issue and police gets involved, both can be deported because they did something illegal and that is the end of story. It may even wouldn't make it to the local paper as news. But if a local is involved, its a totally different story and a whole lot of headache and paperwork.

So what would a local do if he wants to pay and have sex? HK law allows it as long as the provider is a local person (allowed to work in HK) and there is no pimping involved and that is not what is happening in Wan Chai. The same way that you do not buy Playboy to just read the articles, you don't go to Wan Chai bars to have just a drink.

So where did I come up with this explanation? Was giving this explanation 5-6 years ago by some local person and it just made sense to me. It could be 100% BS.
