Hey guys.
I'll be returning to Cali in April for 2 weeks and was wondering if you guys knew of a decent hotel or apartment with a nice pool? North of the river is preferred.
Thanks.

Has anyone tried or heard of the TLC romance tour in Cali? They do them all over but they have them in Cali. My thoughts were this. Please fill me in.
The next tour is March 24 till 27. I would like to come a day early get a lay of the land (pun intended) and then check into this tour. It is set up for 25 to one ratio so american men can meet a wife. I can say I do have that intention if it is the right girl but would love to party with them and see what happens on the free side of things. BUT.
My back up plan is that if it is not what I thought I would like to head out to the monger spots. If it is good then I would simply check out the monger spots aftward.
SO has anyone done this or have any info? The guys appear to have fun in the videos.

Thanks.
I've answered myself. I went onto the TripAdvisor site, did a search for hotels in Cali. You can filter the ones that have a pool.
I was in Cartagena a few years ago for Easter and it was a blast! Very lively. Is Cali similar, or is is quiet during Easter? Casas / Bars / Clubs open and lively or quiet?

If you had a great time in CTG for Holy week I would suggest staying there.
I was wondering if Cali had any english speaking women. About what percentage can speak english in the casas
I was wondering if Cali had any english speaking women. About what percentage can speak english in the casas
Very small percentage if any.
They can all usually say a few words only, maybe a few can actually speak a broken sentence.
Best bet, learn some spanish.

I'm definitely not looking for a wife. But this seems like a good way to meet some hot girls and get some contacts, being that I'll have limited time and no previous experience in Cali. Where / How did you find out about this?
Anybody have any experience with this

Anybody have any experience with this.
Just Google TLC romance Colombia and it pops up. Don't let them get wind of it that we are talking about it here. I'm assuming they are trying to get guys looking for wives. I am not 100% ready for that. But it is the way I will be leaning. So I should get my feet wet. I think it is like 800 for the weekend though. Not all positive. Seems a bit pricey. But who knows.

I would pay the 800 if it isn't much money for you.
There is pros non pros Semi pros.
Just be prepared to get overwhelmed by all the chics you will meet and have pen paper for their email and number.
In case you don't get a chance to meet them for date that trip.
That and make sure you cut it short with girls you don't like and talk to only the ones YOU like.
Stake out the door before the main events and catch them off guard.
That too and relize the translators are usually single too and hotter than most other chics so play dumb
And get the hottest translator. Marriage agency? More like a Colombian Cupid Event.
I would find out which hotel there having it at get a room and free load. They were at the intercontinental hotel in Cali
Yep. I googled it & they want $1000 for the package. That is way more than I'm willing to pay to mingle with some starnge poon. I was just thinking it might be a free event you could just show up at.
I will continue to rely on my own tried & true techniques. Which are hellavu lot cheaper. Good idea about creeping on the event by being at same hotel though. LOL
I have been to Cali many times and 32k is about the going rate. You can always make friends with one of the taxistas outside the hotel (tora de Cali)
They will be more than happy to pick you up and drive you to your destination for that amount. $100K is about 195K in Colombia that is alot to pay!
Just Got to Cali today- You can take a shuttle from the airport to the bus terminal (non-stop) for 4mil then catch a cab to your hotel. Cabs lined up right there.
In my case Hotel El Penon (next to Hotel Dann) 6 mil.
The Shuttle is right outside the baggage claim and says Terminal 4 mil

Thats a long, dark ride when a gringo could easily be most vulnerable.
It's really not a long dark ride. It's 20 minutes ride in a comfortable van with all the Calenas and other Colombians who just flew in and want to be economical. Then you get to the SKARY terminal (have your knife ready) and there is a line of cabs.
But I wouldn't reccomend it if you look vulnerable or are frightened easily. But on the other hand it's really not a big deal. Also I live in Bogota so Cali is like a walk in the park for me
