Sosua Reports

[QUOTE=Revere;1995743]I stand by my point. You cannot arrest tourists for leaving there passports in there hotel room. Just cannot do that. You have to be smart in how you approach a situation. I say again not bringing my passport to the beach.

7 February 2017.

Migraciand apologizes.

Wednesday, 2 February, officials from the immigration department (la Direcciand General de Migracin) came to Sosa to check on illegal practices. Officers checked bars and restaurants on the possession of the necessary permits and if t.

A number of businesses were fined because they did not meet these requirements. Furthermore, officials were looking for foreigners staying here illegally and are on the Interpol list. The following day they went to Cabarete for the same reason. Here quite a few businesses were fined because they had foreigners employed for example as cook or waitress, without a work permit. But the overzealous officials also fined innocent tourists, which appears to be a mistake according to the spokesman of Migraciand. For that they offer apologies and the tourists can rest assured that it will not happen again.

I can't believe the shit some of you folks are floating here! Rumba is closed. Rumba is opening, Rumba is open, Rumba is not open, Rumba is closed.

Question:

How many mongers does it take to find out if Rumba is open or closed?

Answer: 5.

One to hear a rumor.

One to post the rumor.

One to celebrate the rumor.

One to shoot down the rumor.

And one, my personal favorite, to just take a look!

It is not surprising that some of you have nothing but problems down there. :)

But, what do you do you talk about overstay. I said if you are a tourist not a overstay tourist they cannot arrest you for leaving your passport in your hotel room. I do not give a shit about overstay. I am talking about someone who comes short time. Now go ahead and bring up overstay again to try to prove your point. I do not give a shit about overstay.

US national tries to leave country after killing two in crash.

Sosua, Dominican Republic. - US citizen James Bush was arrested at Gregorio Luperóand international airport in Puerto Plata while trying to leave the country after running over two Haitian citizens on the Puerto Plata-Montellano road in the early Sunday.

Two Haitians, a man and a woman, lost their lives after being hit by the gray Honda SUV, registration plate number G341317, driven by the 46-year old man.

Bush tried to escape from the country on Monday afternoon on American Airlines flight 935 to New York, to evade Dominican justice for the deaths and material damage caused by last Sunday's accident.

James Bush was handed over to the public prosecutor for traffic in Puerto Plata, Dorca Alvarado Reyes, for processing in connection with the deaths of Ketia Joseph and Lorenzo Desir, aged 20 and 43.

Puerto Plata judge Osvaldo Bonilla ordered Bush to be held in preventive custody as he represented a flight risk.

Doesn't say anywhere he'd been drinking, but if he had, he deserves everything coming to him.

AA certainly has had direct flights to New York in the past, but at the present time you have to stop over and do customs in Miami. Perhaps the man had a ticket to New York, or maybe the reporter just got it wrong.

But the line of parked white minivans are from the cruise ship in POP.
